With Harry Potter coming soon, it makes sense to take more ownership of the property as a whole, especially since that buildings parking garage is used as overflow parking on busy days and HHN. Good for Universal.
If that was the case, they wouldn't have sold the ride in the first place...
Nor does the ride serve a purpose, as they already have a similar style ride in Rip Tide.
The cost is what kept his original plans for getting off the ground---there were people interested in buying his plans, but he wanted WAY too much money for them.
The location is in the heart of Long Beach, right next to a freshly re-developed shopping area with a bunch of national chain restaurants.
You guys realize Raccoons can be found at almost every single park in the country? They're not stupid...they know where the food is at. Batman actually had one living in the station when I worked there.
True story: while drinking around the world with the Aussies, they would not let me drink Fosters because it is crap. That's all I think of when the discussion of how authentic the booths are comes up.
I am conflicted. New rides in Japan are always a good thing. But new rides in Japan at a park that has an affiliation with a baseball team named the Giants is not a good thing!
They do pretty good business at Staples Center, Honda Center, and Citizens Bank Arena out here in so cal too.
But all I think of when I think of the Harlem Globetrotters is Meadowlark Lemon being the focal point of a Pinky and the Brain episode!
^Right on both accounts. Texas is going to pay their next coach a ridiculous amount of money, and if that guy is proven...A&M's time in the spotlight is over. Sumlin would also have no problem recruiting 5 star athletes at every position at USC with his offense.
It was good, but not $30 good. Priced themselves out of business, something that was likely due to its location (rent on the strip can't be cheap). The bar had a real nice view too.
You nailed it with Primm---cheaper and closer to CA than the Strip, so it attracts a crowd that just wants to gamble cheap and doesn't care about anything else.
The most realistic name that is popping up is Jack Del Rio. Kevin Sumlin is the hot name the media is reporting.
Pete Carroll (who actually wanted to stay at USC, but Mike Garrett ruined it) was there before UCLA hired Jim Mora (who is going to jump back to the NFL the first chance he gets).
