  1. Surprised it took so long for a water park to get one of these. Also surprised more Water Parks don't look into adding traditional water rides, but plus them with even more soaking elements.
  2. There's still plenty of airtime on the twisted hill on Mega-Lite's.
  3. They'll probably make it interactive like Six Flags (even if the game is lame).
  4. ^I could see that coming as part of future changes to the program. You SHOULD get perks besides a nicer note & location for the price of a premium resort.
  5. Yeah, the Philadelphia 76ers started off 3-0, and they just now ended a 26 game losing streak. Hey, the Dodgers already bested the 76er's start!
  6. I wonder if they will erase your memory after you visit?
  7. Great coverage. If I remember right, KBF owns one of the rock monster animatronics because Jack Falfas saw it at IAAPA and liked it.
  8. Dodgers with the best record in baseball!
  9. ^Personally, I think both this and the Disney value resorts are tacky---by design. Value hotels (A.K.A. motels) are tacky by design, and both companies do an excellent job re-creating that.
  10. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a WDW value resort and this one...and I mean that in a good way. Universal definitely needed a value resort that they owned and not the ghetto I-drive hotels all around the park!
  11. ^It was the professor guy who said that, but your point is still very valid: Disney World is definitely NOT just for kids wanting to live out fantasies. It's a resort with something for EVERYONE. Universal will never be able to match that.
  12. That's kind of absurd…I'm really glad Comcast understands theme parks are a great business to be in if done right. And before anyone can turn this into a "boo…Disney doesn't spend enough!", realize that the only reason Comcast has to spend so much money in the first place is because they have to catch up for years of not spending AND years of Disney spending to expand.
  13. If the plantiff is claiming that she was in pain for 7 months and could not do routine activities, it will now be much more difficult to prove that she was doing certain activities during those 7 months after the fact. If she filed the lawsuit earlier the defendant could have hired a Private Investigator to follow her and record her daily activities and falsify her claim. Exactly. It's standard legal practice to let the bills rack up and the time go by in order to get more money and increase the chances of the defendant not having everything ready because so much time has passed.
  14. ^I have no patience, so I never actually ride anything when I visit SFMM! I get the hell out of there as fast as I can!
  15. ^^They built a $400 million dollar park in a beach town away from the beach, charged $50 in a town populated with mini golf/family fun centers, AND then didn't do anything to get those tourists away from the beach. They actually marketed it well. I saw billboards everywhere. But they didn't do anything to get people from the beach to the park...they just assumed people would go. -Joey
  16. ^He should leave a comment at GR to thank those friendly operators!
  17. The walls have come down around Silly Swirly and the playground! The area looks great…lots of fun minion statues and the ground is stamped and stained cement to look like an actual boardwalk!
  18. Capacity is capacity...no matter how terrible the show is!
  19. Pretty sure the last of anyone's worries during the "big one" would be SFMM...
  20. ^I agree with that. Enthusiasts are mostly terrible to deal with at theme parks too! The "holier than thou" attitude that some display creates just as many problems for employees. When I worked at SFMM during CoasterCon, parts were stolen from RRv.
  21. ^^Many people would argue that GateKeeper wasn't worth the investment, as I have heard it is pretty boring... Full Throttle isn't anything earth shattering, but it's still a lot of fun.
  22. According to the DOSH investigation, the whole reason the cable snapped was because KBF only did inspections every 6 months instead of the required 1 month, citing "confusion" in the Intamin SOP as the reason why.
  23. I wonder if CNN will do a "documentary" on this place? Don't they have Orca's too?
  24. Are Dippin Dots still the ice cream of the future after 20 years?
