  1. How dare they ask CGA to adhere to the terms of their agreement. Walking away from a multi million dollar real estate investment is not "simple," which is why CGA, the city of Santa Clara, and Prudential reached an agreement in the first place.
  2. I wish I cared enough to go through all the pages of this thread to count how many times I've had to explain the process for ride inspection/certification in California... Seriously though...There is no rule mandating OTSR's, nor is there any rule preventing them from making changes. The state basically just makes sure the modification is safe by ensuring all the paperwork and processes involving the changes (drawings, inspections, manufacturers approval, training, etc.) are correct.
  3. Looks like it will be a solid ride for a year or two before it can't be kept up!
  4. I'm guessing exotic animal weekend is a precursor to unlocking Falconeer Peter
  5. ^Comparing Fantasyland to Universal's project is a little unfair. Universal is basically throwing all this extra money at construction/new projects in order to catch up to the infrastructure Disney already has in place. Disney doesn't have the need to rush their projects, since they already have so many developed hotels and theme parks. Regardless, it's just real nice to see Universal has an owner again who gets the theme park business and is making such a huge investment in both properties!
  6. I would be more worried if the structure didn't sway.
  7. ^...Or like many, just chose to ignore their crazy ramblings and complaints. Disney and Universal are both doing quite well for themselves, despite the rants of all the hardcore fans. If they chose to do so, both Disney and Universal have the ability to take an off-the-shelf flat ride and make it fit thematically. Will they? Probably not. But they definitely could, and I personally wouldn't mind a highly themed flat as a complimentary ride at IoA (I agree it wouldn't work well in the Studios).
  8. At this point, I actually think it would be hilarious to have the ride "restored" and still be awful... Maybe I'm just jaded because I never got to experience "original" revolution, and have also been fortunate enough to have been on so many other great rides around the world...but I really don't care if Revolution gets restored or not.
  9. One thing I don't like about the game is that your level doesn't seem to have any correlation to anything game related?
  10. So basically they just shifted the problem from the season pass processing center (probably to save labor) to the front gate. Last time I went to the park, there was only 4 people in front of me and it took 10 minutes to get in. Scanners wouldn't read smaller children's fingers, and it took multiple tries for everyone else.
  11. I think no matter where you are, flat rides make good complimentary rides. Something like a Frisbee themed to Thor's hammer certainly wouldn't make me book my next trip to Orlando, but it would probably be something I'd ride after the big ticket rides.
  12. I got the stuff for S&M Lois, but still waiting for a headband to drop for Rambo Lois!
  13. Maybe aside from Fun Spot the major resorts need some more flats - generally missing at least one inverting flat per park. How about a HUSS Inverted TopSpin, a Zamperla AirRace or Mondial TopScan? Thats not what the rides in Orlando parks are about. A flat ride in IOA or Magic Kingdom would look tacky and ruin the theming. I'd prefer the bare-bones flats stay at Fun Spot and the immersive, integrated environment-type rides at the major theme parks. Like Dumbo, Astro Orbiters, Kang and Kodos, Storm force Acceleration, Alladin's Magic Carpet, etc. etc.?
  14. For the 8,000,000th time: OSHA has never mandated OTSR's on Revolution.
  15. Pepsi? The rest of the park looks great though!
  16. The Garden Grove park has finally broken ground! http://www.greatwolf.com/southerncalifornia
  17. Universal Orlando and Sea World shared the same owner for quite some time (Blackstone) until Blackstone sold its Orlando stake to Comcast.
  18. My mom's best friends son (essentially a cousin) was the top bass in 97 and snare in 98 for the Blue Devils. He's a marching instructor for them now.
  19. He's reporting they took the audio off the freshly rehabbed train. I'm just speculating but maybe they're waiting for new speakers to arrive? Well, given SFMM's history of having to wait a long time for a part to arrive for X2, that is entirely possible.... But since it's SFMM, I'm guessing it was intentional because they couldn't maintain it.
  20. When do you ever buy food/merch at your local park? If your local park is DL why would you buy food/merch when you go? Maybe sometimes but not all the time. Heck, i can't even remember the last time I went to a thing and BOUGHT merch. Food sure you got to eat, but merch like stuffed animals and t-shirts, close to never. I will always buy food at the local parks that have food I enjoy (KBF, DLR, USH).
  21. I'm not sure you can see the experience is degrading when they have attractions down for rehab. I'd say that shows they are investing the extra money back into the park.
  22. He's reporting they took the audio off the freshly rehabbed train.
  23. Yup, I personally dislike getting wet (which is why I never liked Perilous Plunge), I don't mind log flumes but rapids rides forget it.The one at California Adventure is the worst, getting drenched in all that dirty A$$ water brings my germ phobia to the red zone The water on water rides is probably cleaner than your tap water. All the water in water rides are constantly recirculated through filtration and chemicals.
  24. I'm shocked SFMM couldn't maintain the audio...
  25. I'll be in Vegas for EDC, really hope to be able to check this out!
