Also a legal FACT: when accounting for any damages, assumed risk is factored into the equation. There is a certain amount of assumed risk in riding a roller coaster, so *IF* any lawsuits from this actually go to trial (they won't---insurance will settle), a judge or jury would determine how much it was SFMM's fault for negligence (if that's the case) and how much was the plaintiffs assumed risk. But lets keep talking about McDonalds and coffee instead. Way more exciting than talking about SFMM!

And none of those GM's won the cup, so he can have that award.

If they are just fishing for money, filing quick is not the way to go. The smart play is let questionable medical bills rack up (all lawyers have their guys that run up the bills for them) before filing. This suit is clearly slapped together as quick as can be to try and pressure SFMM into settling before discovery opens up all their dirty secrets.

There is a regular front of line pass for $119-$150 that is only one time use per maze/attraction. VIP is unlimited and includes a gourmet dinner (and the opportunity to drink---only place at HHN you can get beer or wine) in additional to an exclusive vignette/scare as part of your backlot tour (you still get an abridged version of the daytime VIP tour).

^^Unless they do a major overhaul of the infrastructure, you'll be paying more for the same terrible water flow, slow elevators, bad parking garage (prone to flooding), thin walls (with mold!---based on my one and only experience staying at Imperial Palace), and odd layout This is the ultimate lipstick on a pig. It's nothing more than the cheapest way to get more than the $25/night rates you can find now. I think it will ultimately settle into the Tropicana/Treasure Island price tier of slightly below a real mid tier property. $50-60/night is probably where it will land except for peak demand, largely based on it's location and not being a total dump anymore. My favorite part of those renderings is they clearly show the in-room AC unit still there. Not even forking over the money to upgrade to central air. Cromwell basically kept the building frame and rebuilt everything else. That isn't happening with Imperial Palace. Plus...Guy Fieri has a restaurant there.

Summit Plummet seems way more terrifying... -
Tim Burkhart said at WCB they purposely toned it down so it wasn't too intense for the average person and also to meet their operational needs (they had to keep a mechanic on site to rotate the cars upward). Basically boils down to the fact that American's are lawsuit happy wusses who the park realized would not be able to handle it. Which is funny, because their neutering the ride made it terrible anyways!

Could Cedar Fair have saved Six Flags Astro World?
Jew replied to fraroc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
One key difference between CGA and AW: Cedar Fair had leverage at Great America because they had a lease that very clearly was in their favor. The city had to work with Cedar Fair if it wanted the stadium built. I don't recall Six Flags having any leverage.
