  1. The kids area looks nice...will be a great compliment to Kolmarden!
  2. This park has really come a long way since we first visited in 2005...I need to get back!
  3. I stand by my original post: they need to be EVERYWHERE.
  4. *bump* What's everyone think of the first playoff rankings? My beloved Trojans just can't seem to figure out the 4th quarter...
  5. ^The mental image I have is of him screaming "Rougarouuuuu" in a fashion similar to Jumangi.
  6. Went last night... Definitely fun, but not so sure it's the best bang for the buck in a crowded Halloween market. I agree with David that you definitely will need the VIP passes if you don't arrive early. We got there at 7:30 and barely got to do everything. The Hayride features a bunch of vignettes along the route that are pretty cool, including one unique scare I haven't seen anywhere else (I won't spoil it) and a cool finale...but scare wise it's all the same (monsters going around the trailer). The Four Horsemen maze is a unique concept where you go room by room and get introduced to the "horsemen" along the way. Actually had one scare get me when what I thought to be dummy was a person. Cool concept that just needs to be longer. The Seven Sins Sideshow was a disappointment. Needs scares. Didn't help that the line was stopped for a 1/2 hour for what appeared to be the performers lunch breaks (we saw them running back inside). The Dark Maze was fun. Very disorienting with decent scares. What made it fun is that we got paired up with another group, who had the lantern. Definitely a HUGE improvement from when I first went 4 years ago.
  7. I usually just put the useless characters on the 1 day tasks.
  8. ^It's hockey season now. Time for Bay Area fans to whine about the Sharks!
  9. I'm going to guess that those seat belts were merely added as a corporate wide policy in wake of the NTaG accident.
  10. So they are using the law meant to ensure as equal as possible accommodation to disabled people to sue Sea World for providing them equal accommodation by making them pay like the rest of their able bodied guests? Sounds to be like the parents are just upset their abuse of the system is coming to an end.
  11. I wonder if the Frozen attraction is being developed in conjunction with the TDS project, so WDI is able to use Tokyo's money to help develop it for both TDS and Epcot?
  12. I believe that the flyers don't need the seatbelt because the PLC is able to check whether or not it is locked. Older B&M's don't do that.
  13. ^The seat belts are more for measuring if a large guests fits...they're not actually the failsafe mechanism. On B&M flyers the lapbar & OTSR portion both have ratchets, so something would have to go incredibly wrong for you to fall out.
  14. I take it Psychomanteum is similar to Trapped at Haunt, where they take things beyond the normal scare tactics? Looks like a cool place!
  15. I love how this park has a bunch of cast-off attractions. One of the most screwed up places I've ever been to!
  16. I'm not really a fan of "blackout" haunts (I prefer traditional sets and fun scares), but that wussmaker haunt sounds fun (minus the touching part---I'm not a fan of that either).
  17. A modern version of one of those rides would be awesome! I think the real question would be how much they would cost...there's so many more options out there for a park/showmen to chose from now.
  18. I know we as enthusiasts love Schwarzkopf rides, but outside of the European fair circuit, the reality is that it seems like their popularity is dwindling. It can't be a coincidence so many great rides end up in random foreign countries instead of major markets...
  19. Still waiting on Cleveland, Tom Tucker, and Adam West, but I did get Duckie Stewie. Jason is great for dropping smores.
  20. That kind of sums up most of the SFMM workforce.
  21. ^I guess you could argue it's on the boardwalk, so maybe the reef has something to do with the ocean? Especially given the shipping container themeing left over from Perilous Plunge? I don't know...
  22. I don't understand how expecting someone old enough to go around (mostly) unsupervised in a theme park to abide by the posted rules (as well as behaving like a decent human being) is "picking on" them. It's not. SMH I agree that following rules is expected amongst parkgoers of every age. The appropriate way, IMO, to handle things like that would be to simply say "hey guys, youre not supposed to skip the line" or "you cant hold places in line" or whatever. Not be a bully who's significantly older than a fee Boys and Girls Club kids and make a scene loud enough to be overheard by an employee. Theres always a right or wrong way to enforce the rules and this was a pretty pathetic way to go about doing so if you ask me. But hey, if calling kids out is your thing, Im not going to stop you. The kids need to learn to be respectful of the park rules...and the best way to learn a lesson is the hard way. It's not bullying to be pissed people are line jumping you, regardless of their age.
  23. The scariest part of Tatsu is being left hanging at the brakes because of slow operations...so uncomfortable.
