  1. No, the land has no value as anything else. His ROS rumor is suspect because the ROS train is less than 10 years old. I would also assume a new train is cheaper than tearing out a coaster of that size.
  2. Not sure of the credibility of Screamscape, but they posted 2 plausible rumors and one that seems to be a stretch. 1) Predator retracking. Low hanging fruit, as thats a yearly thing. Claimed it had a small fire though. 2) Mind Eraser SBNO this year, unless they can duct tape and glue the Frankentrain back together. New train(s) were supposedly cut from the budget. Now for the stretch... Ride of Steel to be removed after this season. No plausible explanation was given for why that would happen.
  3. North America's tallest. World's fastest and steepest.
  4. Yeah, theyre both closed when were in the area so we'll be skipping it this trip.
  5. Now we can do "what will open before Tron"
  6. Her main issue with Alpengeist and Raptor was the narrowness of the seats, cant remember if she got the belts in. Although if Montu and Sheikra are both closed while were there we'd probably not bother going.
  7. Looking at photos of them, she's had no issues with Cheetah Hunt style restraints (Maverick, Storm Runner). She's ridden Valravn and Apollo's Chariot, so I would think Sheikra and Kumba would be fine, Montu I think would be the only one she'll struggle with as she didnt fit comfortably on Raptor or Alpengeist.
  8. How is BGT in regards to plus size people? Might make a stop there in Feb and the wife is concerned about making the walk of shame. For reference, she failed the test seat on Raptor and Millennium Force, but has ridden every other ride at CP except TTD (always closed). She's also fit on other Intamin's with no issue (ROS, Hagrids, Velocicoaster).
  9. I definitely think its more "snowy" and cold looking with that scheme. Almost a like a Frozen asthetic.
  10. Its not a LIM launch, but theres this about Hulk: "In the end a drive tire system was selected, where 230 electrical motors power a set of tires that pinch the train's underside to provide propulsion.[2][14] As this system required eight megawatts of power to propel each train, the park built several customized motor generator sets with large flywheels to reduce the risk of browning-out the local energy grid with every launch."
  11. The thing with the popcorn bucket is its not even a limited edition thing. Its the "must be first" attitude that @robbalvey despises. I'm sure by Wednesday itll be available without a wait. Another WDW blog I follow (that did not wait in line for it) said the same thing happened with Orange Bird sippers a few years ago.
  12. Tony Clark told everyone in the fall it wasnt being relocated.
  13. There are definitely some parts of Disney that are completely loathsome, and today was a perfect example. Theres reports of a 6 hour wait. Pandora? Rise? No..... Figment popcorn buckets. The resellers are out in full force.
  14. I'll third coasterbill and boldikus and say you NEED to ride Velocicoaster. Hitting the brakes the first time you'll be like "WTF just happened?" Its definitely a top 2 or 3 coaster. Hagrid's is worth the ride as well, and dont miss Spiderman and Hulk.
  15. Ride Steel Vengeance and Velocicoaster and then maybe you'll think crazy inversions wont flame out.
  16. They ended it because they needed the bandwith to use it for Cosmic Rewind.
  17. Rope drop or wait till then end of the day
  18. Is it though? More like a tour of Tomorrowland. I wouldnt call Carousel of Progress a ride but it moves too. Good call on Harmonious. KI's Haunt was a fantastic atmosphere. MNSSHP parade was great too, especially theGrave Diggers and the band.
  19. Not sure if it counts as a non-ride, but WDW's PeopleMover is on of my favorites.
  20. You are correct. Although they are using Holiday in the Park branded mugs and popcorn buckets for Magic of Lights. Oddly enough, the weather this year mightve made HITP successful.
  21. Busch Gardens Tampa is a possibility in February Kalahari Sandusky end of April Darien Lake (home park) Cedar Point is always a possibility, if TTD stays closed we'd probably skip it this year. Annual WDW in December.
  22. Its gotta be better than riding it backwards, which was
  23. I would put up the waterslide and do the Hurricane Harbor theme thats two years overdue before I start anything else. Then we have 3 large plots of land, two of which need dismantling. Then an unpopular SLC with a Frankentrain and 25 yr old paint job, and one train on our flagship ride, and a rough woodie, and....
  24. Fake news. Its winter on Lake Erie. Here:
