Youre not understanding the burden of proof necessary and what they have to prove. Basically what theyre saying is that while mistakes happened, they didnt rise to the level of a crime occurring. Which is reasonable. It was a tragic accident. If the ride op tugged on the belt, it was already latched and it wouldve been tight because she was sitting on it, so other than not noticing the strap wasnt over her lap, there would be no indication that it wasnt properly secured.

This was criminal court.

Would have to prove negligence beyond a reasonable doubt, as you stated. Its a very high standard and I agree that it would be tough to prove.

He'd have to prove that they didnt check her belt at all, or knew that she wasnt properly restrained and sent it anyway.

I was on something similar at Water Country, its similar in that you go up and down a steep wall, but thats about it.

Drove by yesterday, footers are in and heavy equipment staged at the Wahoo Wave site. Some slide pieces were in the parking lot too, cant remember if they were there during the season.

There's a few employees on a SFDL Facebook group im in that say these rumors are straight garbage, so theres that. Time will tell of course.

Its never been re-painted since it was built, so there's that. Maybe its rusting out somewhere.
