  1. Gunner is the best spot. Also better if youre in a group of family or friends
  2. Thats what I did last time, I was close to a protein spill.
  3. ^ Forbidden Journey is cool and all, but its also a for me. Last time I went seemed exceptionally bad. Somehow my wife and kids were able to do it 3 timea in a row without a spill in 2018.
  4. Exactly. All the headlines are getting people to think he stuck it to WDW. Even friends on FB who ive provided links to saying its not going to work for FL refuse to believe he's not going to win this battle. They think its a done deal. Realistically, it benefits no one to dissolve it.
  5. Ideal in my opinion would be DIS and FL hash it out (I think this is ultimately what will happen) and Chapek gets replaced. With how he bungled this whole thing and the stock price dropping hard, he should be feeling the pressure.
  6. Purely theater, and its working. They cant repeal it without majority approval of the districts residents, who are all Disney employees. Then Orange and Osceola counties would assume their debt and have to raise taxes. Thats not gonna fly with those residents either.
  7. Word is it failed a structural integrity test (NDT). Someone also mentioned a crack in the axle saddle. It hasnt been the same since they removed the lights though. Id like to see them put up another one of similar or bigger size with a great light package. Doubt it though.
  8. It wasnt, as stated in another post. It was 36" with an adult, 48" without.
  9. No, it was 36" with a responsible adult, 48" without. Took my kids many times.
  10. Id like to see a replacement wheel as well, with a good lighting package. Always looked great at night walking around/out of the park or to the campground.
  11. There's confirmed Passholder and DVC previews if youre one of those
  12. https://www.wivb.com/community/things-to-do-buffalo/niagara-amusement-park-and-splash-world-opening-memorial-day-weekend/?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=socialflow GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — Fantasy Island fans are in luck: the new amusement park taking its place officially has an opening date. It all starts Memorial Day weekend with the opening of the water park and kiddie park. Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World opened briefly last year but hasn’t had a full summer run. The rest of the park will be opening in phases after the initial Memorial Day opening. “Frankly it’s great. It’s been part of Grand Island for over 50 years and to see it fall into complete disrepair and being vandalized was really heartbreaking and now with it coming back to life it’s a renewal, it’s a rejuvenation and we’re very happy to see they’re taking their time and investing their energies into making this come back to fruition,” said Grand Island town supervisor John Whitney. He said the park will have the old charm of Fantasy Island with brand new rides and attractions. “I know they want to do a family-oriented amusement park and they are obviously keeping the water park attractions there. They’re working to get the wave pool that has not happened as of yet, they need some nicer weather for that because they have to do some concrete work.” He also said they’re hoping to work with local vendors to put food and gift shops inside the park. Construction is starting up again and people will start to see a lot more activity in the coming months. “I expect they’ll start constructing the rides, making repairs to the areas that were damaged by vandalism, and when they took the rides out they were not very kind they just kind of ripped and pulled and a lot of things got destroyed by heavy equipment running over paths that weren’t really built for it.” The park will offer season passes, but prices haven’t been released yet.
  13. Beast will be longer and steeper. https://www.wlwt.com/amp/article/cincinnati-kings-islands-the-beast-to-break-own-records/39581555 When the Mason amusement park opens in May, The Beast will move from a 7,359 ft. coaster to a 7,361 ft. ride due to offseason re-tracking and reprofiling work, including the addition of a steeper drop, from 45 degrees to 53 degrees.
  14. Another thought came to mind today... we've seen videos of people passing out on Sling Shots. With how easy he slid out and the way he looked as he fell, I wonder if he passed out on the way down before the brakes. To be clear, im not saying this would be the primary reason for him falling, but a contributing factor.
  15. Highly doubt thats why theres a limit. Ride of Steel (also an Intamin) has one listed because they might not fit in the restraints, which is something that will get a green light or red light.
  16. That is one big 14 yr old. Dude looks older than me. Still with his size its hard to believe he slipped out, youd think something wouldve caught him or that he couldve held on.
