Can you show me where on this thread the bad man said it was great? I in fact said the opposite. I was simply stating that there was logical reasons for ride removals, and reason for guarded optimism that the place will improve. The park is what it is, a mid sized regional park full of cloned coasters.

I would say cut SF some slack for now... they took over mid 2018, added SkyScreamer for 2019 and were due to re-brand the waterpark to Hurricane Harbor and add a new slide until Covid hit. Had that not happened, who knows where theyd be right now. As it is, the park has steadily improved in appearance during this season, and some long closed things like Pirate and the covered bridge re-opened. Sleigh Ride was completely refurbished. Im told the Giant Wheel is getting pulled because it has a crack in the axle saddle and isnt financially feasible for repair. Grizzly Run, like all similar raft rides, is a high maintenance & labor expensive ride. Thunder Rapids was high maintenance and just stopped being repairable. Is it a great park? No, but it has its perks and we'll see if SF takes better care of it this round.

Most if the work I saw was in the support structure and not the track.

This came up in my Facebook memories today. 5 years ago, my son (4 at the time) was standing in line for the kiddie swings and dancing around like he had to pee. He insisted he didnt have to. I took his word for it and sat down on a bench. A minute later, I hear him crying on the ride, and this is what I found when I got up to check on him.

This is basically a ticket increase without them saying it is, because its optional. There is now little to no advantage to pay a premium and stay at a Disney hotel now. All the on-site benefits like Magical Express, dining reservations, Extra Magic Hours and early fastpass bookings are gone and replaced with either upcharges or are only for the high end resorts (EMH). And who really thinks Caribbean Beach is worth $350 per night?

My wife is plus sized, the only rides she hasnt been able to get between CP and KI is Millennium Force, which would also include TTD if it were ever open when were there. The seat belt is the issue there, not the lap bar. Which is annoying because she fits on Ride of Steel at SFDL with seatbelt to spare, which is an identical train. Not sure why MF & TTD belts are so short. She did get on MF 2 years ago, not sure if they made them even shorter. Also, when we went to KI we didnt make it to Flight of Fear or Racer so not sure about those, and she didnt try Banshee because our kids were too short so I rode solo. Edit: She couldnt do Raptor comfortably either. Narrow seats, wide hips.

(WIVB) — The company that purchased the Fantasy Island property has been busy trying to get it ready for the 2021 summer season. Project directors with Indiana Beach say they’re getting very close to opening the water park for guests. With the former setup, visitors would have to cross through the entire property to get to the water park. Now, Tom Crisci with Indiana Beach, says they will have a separate entrance for visitors, which will lead directly to the attractions that are open at Splash World that will be right off the main parking lot.
