  1. Erm yeah, didn't go exactly as planned but still (barely) better than nothing The revenge of Mr. Cuthbert Wydecargo against Sea World: Stealing a piece of the coaster thus completing his collection of Mantas since he threw up twice on the seat of Sky Tower and then was refused entry due to failing (and being sadly obnoxious) to ride.
  2. Don't worry it will continue to drop and like you know you build up some muscle which might partly be the reason why sometimes the weight wouldn't drop, despite training and eating less, as well as the daily weigth can fluctuate about 2lb depending on water and food balance. Oh and I think there's something fishy about the Wii Fit as a BMI index of 19 is under the estimated normal weigth (BMI 20-24.99) and not Obese. I totally agree with treating yourself a bit, even though your trying to lose weigth, as I don't think it's worth 'suffering' (except in some extreme cases) as long as you're making some progress. You can do it Robb. Keep up the great work!
  3. Worst coastering year ever (well, since the time I've been an 'enthusiast'). Got to Wiener Prater, although missed the Volare and Boomerang... (won't explain now). Visited Linnanmäki (sigh), got a new credit, still the total is 7-8 new credits (depends if Star wars? is a coaster). Hmm...at least it won't be hard to do better next year
  4. Like anyone else I'd love to do a trip. At the very moment, the only thing I'm sure I'll do is to join up in Helsinki, I mean it would kinda be rude if I didn't! and possibly come along the whole Finland part of the trip. I know about the 'getting into groups' thing, so I might be alone, but I'll prefer much more being at a park with nice TPR members around than regular finnish people . Financially I could just do a trip, but it's just that I haven't got the time for it. Usually it's just an excuse, not that much this time. As I am doing the mandatory civil duty-work thing that lasts until end of Sept.09, and I can only take like 20 days (+10 possible "bonus days") off during the whole year (weekends, bank holidays are free), and you can take only like 4 days max. off in a month. I take it Russia won't be a secret add-on?, as e.g. St.Petersburg is closer than Power Park from Helsinki (I might've said this before) and there's 1-2 direct trains to the city. Don't get wrong that would probably quite much organizing in a year/summer. But if anyone is interested, I could help with some info if needed, same goes for anything about Finland .
  5. Only once I remember that riding coasters after eating has affected me. It was on an ERT on Half Pipe (Särkänniemi) when on the 8th 'lap' or so, it started to spin a bit in my stomach (I had a quite big breakfast about 20 mins before), luckily the slight problems disappeared quite quickly.
  6. I can't decide my favourite, there's so many great entries! This will be my official entry for now. "Weed gangsta on speed monsta"
  7. Theme and themepark...So, basically he's building a fancy horse racing track, with some flashy extra facilities. Yay. Well, I guess it's a good idea for him to have a place to go to when he get injured (yet) again...
  8. ^It should give you a pleasant tingling sensation.
  9. ^ Absolutely. I'm intrigued by the Fanta bottle, or the content really, as I'm collecting different flavours, I have 23 (no light/diet versions), enough off-topic. By the way, which time did the plane leave LAX, I know it looks like morning-around 5, I'm just interested as the time difference between L.A. and Beijing is what 15 hours? Nice pics Jeff, hope you have a great trip, looking forward for more.
  10. Thanks for the TR!! I remember looking at some pics of those coasters on rcdb.com a while ago, but it's much cooler to see more of the actual park, which looks quite nice. By the way, was that log flume (photo is about in the middle) open and if so is that a drop or lifthill ? as it looks a bit strange.
  11. Crap, I visited the park in April, didn't know they have new restraints (was kind of in a hurry) and missed it out.
  12. Stunt Fall Thundercoaster - (rode it before the re-tracking this year.) Cobra (PowerPark)
  13. Granted I don't know much about baseball, but still I enjoyed this funny TR. Stadium tours are always nice, especially if they're free. Oh and I wonder how many work hours this PTR took to finish in Pakistan
  14. Basically I just wanted to do anything with the same grey background as the site, and I like that green (lime) colour. Don't really know why I just did a triangle, maybe because it's simple and er..I was lazy
  15. Dreamland - NU NRG
  16. Great update once again!! It's been awesome to follow the trip, needless to say I would've loved to join. Still it's cool to see many Spain trip participants and 'new' people enjoying Europe and having a blast Oh and that hotel and food looks tasty. Interestingly enough I don't think Euro Mir was that special, good?, oh yes... maybe because I only rode (got to ride) it once, the weight distribution/spinning wasn't really in my favour then. Yeah, Europa Park is a awesome place, also it's looking even better with the new coaster coming to fill the sort of 'gap' it had in the coaster department. Have to go back there. with TPR.
  17. Congrats on hitting 100 pages Big Mike!! It's been quite awesome to follow the Europe Trip here, tonnes of great photos, funny captions and people having fun. And many kudos to you for keeping up a consistent flow of updates all the time! Oh and I can't believe how many parks you've visited this year, with this rate there won't be many parks left for you in a few years! Keep the Road Show rolling Big Mike!
  18. Let me think...Linnanmäki once and... nope that's all This year is going to be really quiet in terms of parks (especially new ones) I'm afraid.
  19. Awesome TR with lots of great photos! It is really interesting to see photos of cities you haven't seen that much of, well apart from the areas around the red square. I dunno maybe I was too positive, but I really couldn't expect the Russians to have such a bad organized traffic system. Still the magnitude of some of the buildings, etc. looks so different than the west, there is something quite compelling about how it is (seems) in Russia. It would be cool to visit Moscow someday, I would only need to first travel 4 miles away and then take a direct train for 7 hours or so and I would be there , as there's no way I'd drive there or in there
  20. Excluding any ERT's, I think I've done maybe a dozen coasters only 3 times in a row. Usually after that I want to ride something else for a change and return later.
  21. Kraftwerk - Aero Dynamik
  22. ^Théo: They use gallons in USA, in Europe it's litres. 1 gallon is 3.785...litres. I guess the gas prices in France are around 1.4-1.6€/l. In example $6 for a gallon=1.58$/litre = 1.014€/l. So it should be cheaper than what you have in France. ... Wow. The gas prices have continued rising everywhere (it's 1.58€/litre ~9.3$/gallon here), now I really start to feel bad for you Americans seeing as the price has about doubled (at least in some places) also considering (not to be rude or anything) how dependant you are on cars. Hopefully lasting and environmentally good solution will be found, even if it's quite difficult.
  23. I so thought you would be eating in the restaurant when it caught fire. Luckily not. That was quite a random topic with some funny captions. But, hopefully the damage wasn't too bad.
  24. Viola [Armin van Buuren remix] - Moogwai
  25. Three. Oblivion and Expedition GeForce and got one of Take-Off (flat at Särkänniemi) for free.
