Are you kidding me?! The park only had like 4 flat rides when it was added and it was easily the best until they added S:TOP in 2006! It was definitely a great addition, and it fits the theming of the area great! I agree with the Wicked Twister argument. The extra twist adds nothing, and the back seat (though widely hyped) wasn't any fun. I don't see the point of impulses at all. Also, Goliath at SFFT and THBS at SFOT seem like pretty pointless additions.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Considering the quality of the non-CP motels and the fact that they don't get the perks is enough to make anyone want to pay the bit of extra money to stay at Breakers Express or one of the other CP hotels.

There isn't a noise problem at WOF and Patriot got the silent treatment...

Those first two pictures of Medusa are AMAZING. Its pretty dang sweet how you got the train in focus but not the track.

Of course there isn't, why would they build a hyper in a city that doesn't even have a theme park? Sorry I just had to be an a$$, but SFStL is in Eureka, Missouri; not St. Louis. As far as a new woody goes, it sounds great to ME, but for the most part the GP sees all woodies as the same.

Maybe they are looking into turning it around... Id like to be the optimist here and say that this will greatly benefit Wild Adventures.

I know for a fact that they started Patriot with the station, and I believe they did with Tatsu as well. Maybe it's a B&M thing.

Hyyyper is correct that they are used for workers to cross over from one side to the other when the banking changes. However, they also serve the purpose of a being a sort of net to catch anything that my fall (or drip). Notice how they appear when the track is crossing over something below?

How much does an Intamin woody run?

I think I remember hearing that the trim on Mantis was to help with three train operation (which of course it no longer utilizes). I didn't really notice it when I was there in June, the ride was plenty forceful even with it. Timber Wolf at Worlds of Fun has two trims on its first drop. It's fairly normal to see them on wooden coasters, like others have said, it's to keep their upkeep costs down.

It looks like Mr. Freeze track to me. In fact, it looks like the exact same piece that I noticed laying around at SFStL when I was there this summer. Cool pictures dude, BB looks great at night and I've always liked SFoT from the pictures Ive seen.

I beg to differ, this was the only letdown of the ride IMO. You fly out of the tunnel just to slam into brakes, its quite depressing.

That construction by Mamba is indeed for a new haunt and NOT a new ride. I was there on Sunday and snapped a picture of what looks to be a tent structure going up. It's not very big so I wonder if what's there is just part of it and there's more to come.
