  1. KFConcepts your argument is almost as weak as me saying CP shouldn't have added Maverick because TTD and it both have a launch, MF and it both have steep drops, Mantis and Raptor and Corkscrew and it all have corkscrews, and MF and it both have highly banked turns. I know your argument is just for fun, but I really don't think it was worth your time. The rides are clearly very different.
  2. While I was originally leaning towards KI, I completely agree with Robb that Maverick and Raptor are awesome. Raptor was my number one until I rode Maverick this year. Just be sure to ride Raptor in the front, the back had some head banging in the cobra roll on my last trip.
  3. Doesn't surprise me that the loop shakes a lot, have you seen the dinky supports holding it up? Thanks for the pictures, the park is really starting to take shape.
  4. Which is why it gets annoying. I personally don't feel the need to see a screenshot of the ride in random different places along the course everyday. Heck, I don't even feel the need to know if it's testing on any given day. After the first day of testing, it's pretty much old news. I'd like to see what the Ripsaw trains look like with the new shells on them. How is the resizing going?
  5. If it was 68 degrees right now I'd have on shorts and a T and I'd be outside doing ANYTHING. It's about 30 right now in Missouri, and the other day we had highs of 18. Sweet! Ill be sure to check them out.
  6. Aww you beat me to it. This TR wins the award for the most thumbs-up pics in a TR. Only bummer was no construction pics. Great TR anyways!
  7. ^^Looks like theres a new column wrap up as well.
  8. With Behemoth's close proximity to the water park, one can't help but think back to Steel Dragon 2000... Speaking of B&Ms with trims, I can't think of one I've ridden that the trims ruined it. The trims on Mantis's first hill actually SAVE that ride, I think the forces would be very harsh without them.
  9. Can't say I like the name AT ALL (still) but I definitely like the colors.
  10. They probably forgot it's a leap year.
  11. I always bring a cooler with sandwiches made and drinks. Makes it so you don't have to buy food in the park, plus you get to rest in your car.
  12. Uh oh, here we go with the Afterburn dilemma again. This time there's even a logo:
  13. Iron Wolf, Mantis, etc... Subtract Mantis. Ride in the front and make sure your balls are in the right place and you'll enjoy an intensely smooth ride. I'd agree with kraken in saying that they might not all be great, but I've ever gotten off a B&M and thought "Wow that was bad".
  14. What has this thread turned into?! Elissa, I believe Kraken is right, it's a bit shorter than the others so it can't stay steep for long. Along with that, the camera angle and the turn at the bottom make it look different.
  15. The lights on Splatosphere dont look nearly as obnoxious in those pics. Thanks looty!
  16. It's them dang Canadians! I guess they can change track shaping
  17. Actually looks quite obnoxious. Just another example of this park losing it's charm IMO. Ah well, I'm not complaining, the additions should be great!
  18. I thought CP said they were done with Intamin after the difficulties TTD and Maverick (and Wicked Twister a bit as well).
  19. Gay or not this just doesn't come off right... The censors on the site change the combination of X and D to make a smiley into that phrase. I laugh every time I see it.
  20. I can see where you are getting that idea from and I agree, but there will be three cars on each train. This will make riding in the back a MUCH different experience. I can't wait to try out the back seat for that airtime! If it's anything like Maverick's first hill, you will NOT be disappointed.
  21. ^^^Wow! I like the brick wall and monster one, that could make a REALLY awesome slide.
  22. Anyone consider the fact that the ride may be getting an equipment upgrade with the move? I can see them putting proximity switches on it in place of the timers it currently uses, which are a major cause of the severe downtime.
  23. More like they were slightly drunk when they designed them. No matter how wasted they are, they cant really be bolt the track together to make the shaping any different. I thought the same thing when I saw that picture!
  24. I completely agree, looks like they are turning the place sterile.
