  1. Do you think you can get a pic of the train of Thunderhead and Tennessee Tornadoe? Only if you happen to ride them though. Thanks
  2. I think it has to do with the parade that they are working on. But hopefully if my dream comes true it will be a Wacky Worm Roller Coaster Wacky Worm > MF ^That was just sarcasm so don't bash me about it. MF #1 Steel Coaster
  3. I waited for 75 minutes to ride Timber Tower at Dollywood. The worst time spent in my life. Topple Towers Suck
  4. Thanks for the link BrownStreak. Here is a direct link to the Flying Saucers Ride from Brownstreak's link. Shows some pictures. http://www.yesterland.com/saucers.html As with Midtown Coaster, I would love to see this ride updated. Although it still would probably be a mechanical nightmare. I still don't understand how something like this would generate enough air to support the saucer and the rider. I understand what the ride looks like now but I still don't understand how this ride works mechanically. Can anyone clarify for me by any chance?
  5. and Acers world wide were hoping that the fault lines would not relocate Flashback so they can eat it. Meanwhile El Toro was....
  6. ^ I really wouldn't know. Will Disney ever take over Wal Mart?
  7. What ever could it be? No seriously what are they supposed to be building? I hope it's a new Frog Hopper ride . Oh a roller coaster would be nice too
  8. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disneyland_Flying_Saucers I was browsing Wikipedia last night and I came across this. I remember the Flying Saucer ride from RCT and I never knew it used to be an actual ride. I thought it was some made up ride for the game. But anyways I find this concept really interesting. Being able to fly your own hover craft and bump into people just like bumper cars. I was wondering if anyone might have some more information about this ride and maybe some pictures. I know this ride is dated back to the early and mid 60's but I thought I'd give it a shot. * Oh and does anybody know what they did with it? I know they removed it because of mechancical problems but is it locked up in storage or what? * And who is the manufacturer of this unique ride? Thanks
  9. Wow! I just watched the 2 teting videos and I am very impressed. The only new upcoming wooden roller coaster I have gotten excited about was Thunderhead at Dollywood. I am planning on addiing this place on my road trip (along with Hard Rock Park). I'm very excited to ride this coaster next year. I am very impressed with its compact layout. I really enjoy crossovers on wooden coasters (why I love Thunderhead so much). So it says that this coaster will have the most crossovers than any other coaster ever built. Does this mean it takes Thunderheads record, or am I confusing my facts? Although i am very impressed by this coaster, Thunderhead still owns any wooden coaster out there (Including El Toro & Voyage). This coaster may make it into my top 3 woooden coaster chart. 1. Thunderhead (Air Time & Crossover Goodness) (16 Rides) 2. Voyage (3 Rides) 3. El Toro (3 Rides)
  10. The best snack combo for me would have to be pizza flavored Pringles with a Yoo-Hoo. Yoo-Hoo's own any other drink. Root Beer is a close second.
  11. I think Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster are both great rides. But I think the best choice in purchasing a launched coaster would be something like Xcelerator at Knotts Berry Farm. *I know Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka break down quite often but what's usually wrong with them? What is the major problem with these two ocasters that always casue them to break down?
  12. I think you guys are being a little bit too negative about this coaster. It looks great and we really won't know how it rides until it opens. As for me I can see myself really enjoying this coaster. I do believe with the loop transitioning into the cobra roll right away will give some nice forces. I'm excited about riding this coaster next July on my road trip . I have 2 questions. Is Maximum RPM going to be a family coaster or an all out thrill ride? And what other thrill rides will Hard Rock have to offer that thrill seekers will enjoy?
  13. My baby sister is 2 and a half years old. Today we went to Western Playland in Sundland Park New Mexico. I was planning on doing a photo trip report but I ran out of battery. Bummer. But anyways today my sister got to experience her first roller coaster. Western Playland added a new Miler Kiddie Coaster this year called Mini Miner. Here's a picture- http://www.rcdb.com/ig3595.htm?picture=1 She loved it! Without saying anything she put both hands up and screamed the entire ride. She rode it 9 times during the day. She didn't care about the other kiddie rides. We would take her to the Granny Bugs and carasaul but she would scream and point to the roller coaster. I am glad that I got to take my sister on her first roller coaster and I'm proud my sister loves roller coasters lol. Another Coaster Junkie in the making lol. * I would like people to share stories of their young children, siblings, cousins etc riding there first roller coaster or ride. I really enjoy seeing smaller kids enjoying themselves on rides. It was a real joy watching my sister enjoying the things I like to do. * I would also like to thank the Western Playland employees for being nice enough to make sure my sister had a good time. Western Playland staff are the nicest you'll ever meet.
  14. I lost my loop virginity on Greezed Lightnin at PGA. No longer there =(. When the coaster is smooth it doesn't even feel like your going upside down. You'll be riding the one at Disney which is really smooth and your going to go through it and be like, "Thats It?".
  15. I just installed Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum to my computer and when i try to start it this meassge pops up- Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Programs: ...Files/Atari/RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum/RCT3plus.exe abnormal pragram termination What does this mean and what do I need to do to make it work? My computer is a Windows Vista operating system. Does that have anything to do with it? I want to play!!
  16. Last Week (I was working on an essay at 3 in the morning and just crashed and didnt wake till noon) When was the last time you went to a carnival?
  17. I'm not sure everywhere else but here in El Paso, McDonalds is having a competition seeing which burger is more popular. So vote between the Big Mac or the Quarter Pounder. Double Quarter Pounders count as Quarter Pounders to. I choose Quarter Pounder because Big Macs have too much bread and not enough meat. **Nothing tops there Double Meat Cheeseburgers though**
  18. Today I went to this parking lot carnival that was set up in front of some super market. My friends and I went and the only two major rides they had was a Round-Up and a Gravitron. So we rode both of them even though these rides make me insanely sick and we started argueing on which was better. So I'm asking TPR to help me figure which one is better. Round-Ups, or Gravitrons. There basically the same ride but the Round-Up tilts. Please Vote and leave a comment on why you chose your selection! Round-Up- http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/roundup.html Gravitron- http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/gravitron.html
  19. ^Yes (The One At PGA or now just GA) Do you still enjoy your first ever inverted coaster?
  20. ^Her name is melissa, her grass is blue, and lives in New York. . -pgathriller-
  21. Yes Do you believe the new Survivor ride at Great America is really a coaster?
  22. Well I don't wake up until 11 or 12 anyway so the first thing I eat is usualy lunch. I say your entitled to eat breakfast whenever you want. I only wish Mcdonalds served there pancakes and sausage all day =(. Best microwaved pancakes and sauage anywhere! McDonalds microwaved pancakes and sausage > Real Pancakes and sausage.
  23. Here's an odd question. When something major like this happens in a park, does the park still operate? During this accident, did Six Flags still operate normally with rides going and shops open or did they shut down? If the park continued to operate it would keep the park patrons occupied but wouldn't you have a bunch of people running to the Ferris Wheel to get a glance of whats going on? Just a random question I had. Oh and here's another. On the Larson Drop Towers, is this type of accident possible? Those types of towers look like the cables are located on the inside of the structure. Just wondering because I have rode plenty of these drop towers. My prayers are with this girl.
  24. That looks so cool. Even though they are only testing it at 100mph doesn't that mean more stress on the track, train, and launch motor?
