What causes a roller coaster to get rough. What type of regular maintanence do theme parks do to the coasters to keep them smooth running. I hear people say that at the beggining of the season they run pretty smooth but later on down the season they start getting rough. I rode the Tennessee Tornadoe at Dolywood the first week of the season in 2004 and it was one of the smoothest coaster I have ever rode. Then I hear people say how rough it is. Does weather play a part of coaster roughness. I know some company's coasters are already rough- (Vekoma ) - but still some are smooth. I am just curious about this. Help me out.

There is a souper salad here where I live and it's a little place where they have salad and soup bars. I have been there once and I hate soup and salad so I didn't eat. I like Larson drop towers. They are so cool! -
I was wondering if Dollywood has started constructing Timber Falls. If they did, does anyone have pictures of it? Does anybody have an inside of whats going on at Dollywood during this off season?

I started the Shuttle Loop vs. Boomerang topic and most people picked Shuttle Loops. The ones people liked to seem best was the Schwarzkopf and Arrow Shuttle Loops so I started this topic. I like Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loops because they are the only ones I have been on. ^ Shuttle Loops are more fun so you should just vote for them! -
I like shuttle loops better than boomerangs. Which do you prefer more and why? My favorite Shuttle Loop coaster was the Greased Lightnin' at PGA.

A Bizarre Coaster Fact

I would ride a coaster like that. It sounds pretty cool. But getting it to pass safety inspections would be hard if a park wanted to open one. -
2005 Ride Accident Review
pgathriller replied to benzo41190's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's good that it's been a slow year. I have heard about so many people freaking out on how theme park rides are so unsafe and that you can die on them. As long as rides are well kept and inspected often, and if you follow the rules, you will almost be 100% okay on a ride. Another thing, how in the world can a chairswing ride topple over! That's freaky! -

I know they have a kiddie ride named Frog Hopper but it would be cool to theme a Larson Mega Bounce as Frog Hopper from the old Nintendo game. This is a Larson Mega Bounce- http://www.larsonintl.com/rides/mb.htm -
I just bought zoo tycoon 2 and it said that I needed 258mb of syestem storage to play it and I only have 128mb. How can I get 258mb without buying anything? I have a Windows XP. Please help!

I was thinking for once. I have been on a Chance Inverter and a Huss Top Spin and the 2 rides feel the same. I just realized that if you have the two rides facing the same way they do the same ride motion. Does anybody else think they give the same ride or do you think different. I am only talking about the standard Top Spin, not the other models that Huss is making now.

Why is PGA's Grizzly so bad?
pgathriller replied to momo1tx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Grizzly is more for familys I think. It is catergorized as a family ride on their site. It's probay a good first big coaster for kids. It doesn't pack thrlls like other woodies do. -
Which one of you two is more of a dare devil?

Have you ever been injured on a ride Robb or Elissa?
pgathriller replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Ask Alvey
One time I wanted to ride this Himalaya ride and there was no line for it. But they have all these aisles that you have to go through before you can get to the entrance. So I decided to run and jump over the first one to get to the entrance. I didn't run fast enough and I tripped over the chain. The two operators laughed at me. -
I have been to many small amusement parks that are able to cram a great small compact coaster in there park. I think being able to fit a small coaster that packs alot of thrills in a small area is awesome. Have you ever been on any really compact coasters that are great and which ones?

Probably the most random, dumb question ever...
