Top That! And I liked Zelda, she was always a fun in that creepy living doll kinda way. But I always thought she died a long time ago, then I saw her in Richard Kelly's Southland Tales a few years ago and I remember thinking "She's still alive?" Ah well She will be missed.

^But you misspelled "Experience" so -2 lol. And I love Flat rides as much as I do coasters, which is why I totally dig this thread. My only problem with this new one, is it seems like the ride will be almost too large. The amount of room you will need off of the tower itself to give proper clearance for the spinning seems like it will be quite large and the whole footprint would take up a lot of room. Do you have any dimensions on the whole ride yet, or is it all still being worked on?

The iPad - Apple's Take On The Tablet Computer
RCFreak replied to Wes's topic in Random, Random, Random
Color me not that impressed with the Maxi iPad. It really just seems like a 9.7" iPod touch to me, and not that impressive considering the products Apple has put out in the past. It'll also be intresting to see how AT&T's infrastructure handles the copious amounts of data that will be consumed with HD video (or streaming video of any kind, flash or not, which will come) and surfing the web with this beast on it's 3G network. I really hope this isn't an indication of the newest iPhone that I'm sure will come out this summer, I think they've been lazy with it as they changed the game with the original iPhone, but haven't really pushed many boundaries passed that. -

The colors look great now, very much like the old forum and I think the needed pop it was lacking before. Um is chat still working for everyone else? I tried in Opera Firefox and IE8, but it doesn't want to work for me. I've changed the stuff in my profile before and it all worked out great. I liked the expanded search feature when sending a PM and needing to look up a user name and being able to search many different ways, I also like that if you've friended someone, they can easily be added as they are listed on the right with a button to add them. I didn't notice any issues right off the bat though. -
Barclaycard Rollercoaster Advert
RCFreak replied to Shockwave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've seen the waterslide one before, and that's immediately what I thought of when I first clicked on the roller coaster one (even before seeing coaster-crazy's post about it) that's pretty good brand recognition for not even being in the same country the ads are intended for. -
Or they treat them like a park that can get a good return on investment for the millions of dollars they invest with every attraction they add, and not pretend this is some sort of favoritism that enthusiasts like to imagine. With my beautiful journalistic skills, I exposed the truth that the twitter account was complete BS (okay, others knew too). So it's not odd for a company to ask an imposter to discontinue the spreading of (often false) information. I think it more has to do with @SixFlagsMM trying to make it look like an official twitter from the park which many people believed, or at least were not able to dismiss right away. Seems like a trademark protection thing, defend it or lose it kind of situation. Hopefully this might be an indication that the individual parks may be looking into their own official Twitters like the Cedar Fair parks.

^That's exactly what I'm seeing, now click into any of the forums and you can see the difference. These are both the new forum, the one on the right is the main page, the one on the left is a sub-forum ("Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!" in this case) -

It doesn't show up on the main page of forums save for the announcement box and the calendar, but it does in all the sub forums and I think it looks great! -

An example of horrible parenting skills
RCFreak replied to kidcoaster 2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I think in those cases it's more of a state/ manufacturer as I'm pretty sure the Disney tea cups were built in-house as opposed to the ones at Legoland which are built by another company which may have the 42 inch requirement. As for the inconsistency, that's just a lack of training and a shame as a kid could possibly end up getting hurt and it would be on the ops head. I remember getting that quite often when I was on Magnum and Dragster working entrance (hahaha oh the stories I have from there). I've always wanted to respond with "You can have it! Then you can deal with people like yourself," but somehow always managed to restrain myself. As for that parent, Lesley Carlin is my hero, you tell them what's up! We were thoroughly trained at Cedar Point on what to look for and how to deal with that (making the kids use their parents shoes in some cases if it came to that, where to look for the ankle to rest in normal tennis shoes, taming wild hairstyles, and more) and the proper use of the "candy canes" (the height sticks with colored tape they have at the entrances) and height stands. Plenty of both unhappy kids and parents, but they left the park alive so I didn't feel too bad, the kid will grow and hopefully have the chance to come back and ride when they are tall enough. -

Awesome pics and TR so far! Looks like you guys had a great time at Legoland. It's funny, its only about an hour and half away and I've yet to go, oh well one day. Can't wait to see the "tamer" side of a TPR gathering as I've seen plenty of the wilder stuff on various people's facebooks. -
Your first concept is very similar to the KMG Experience (your model has better capacity and is free spinning, but it's close) and it's an amazing ride so I'm sure if yours were to make it somehow then you have a winner on your hands. I'm excited to see your take on the second concept your teasing about as I can imagine a combination of the two and it seems like another great concept. It seems kinda Huss Jump2, kinda not.

^^^ This is a nice video of some of moments from the show and that speech that almost made me cry a little! The Actual Speech starts at about 2:54 with the picture of his staff and crew. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_XgcWAQWNU

^For the gender mod, can you change it to actually say (fe)male instead of the symbols? Or Can Wes make better images for them? they are really hard to see and don't look that great. -
Oh man I'm so glad to hear so many people have the same thing with vomit as I do, I don't think I'm nearly as bad though as it's just seeing someone else do it that gets to me. I had to clean it up way more then enough times working at Cedar Point so I think that might of helped (as it was gross but it was already out so no harm done). And it's weird cause if it's a quick one time small amount thing I'm really grossed out, but generally ok; it's when comedy movies have the extended hose-attached-to-the-side-of-the-head bits that make me want to turn it off or leave! And it seems to be a go-to bit in like every movie now so I actually usually don't watch a movie without reading the parental review (not artistic review, I couldn't care less what they thought of the movie) of it on Screenit cause they list the vomit under the blood/gore section. I also hate insects. If it's not a cat, dog or reptile get it the hell away from me!

Not really a nit pick, but there is now a space between the user name and user title for me. Just curious if this was intentional or not as it looks different then Hanno's Screen shot.
