Gonna have to respectfully disagree with you on Cat in the Hat, Stitch. We were discussing walking out within the first 20 minutes. Mike Myers' decision to play the Cat in the Hat channeling Charles Nelson Reilly was a bit of a bad idea. Thing 1 and Thing 2 were just creepy. The sidestory with Alec Baldwin was equally creepy. And Kelly Preston kept her clothes on. I also have to disagree with you regarding that "great for the kids" bit. We had TONS of parents requesting refunds/passes because A. their kids were (rightfully) freaked the hell out or B. because of the adult humor ("dirty ho" springs immediately to mind). But the Universal Parks shout-out was funny... too bad it actually has scared people away from the very pleasant Cat in the Hat ride (I wish I was making that up - I've talked to at least two people who skipped it because they were afraid it'd be as bad as the film - yeah, they were stoopid, but still).

I'm not a physician or a drug dealer. I have no use for a cell phone. You want to talk to me, call me at home. If I'm not there, I'm doing something more interesting than talking to you. Seriously, I have no interest in being available for my friends and family 24-7. Just not my bag.

Please remove yourself from the internet and obtain a copy of Holy Grail immediately. Seriously. Still here? This should be required viewing for every human being on the planet earth. -
My 9 to 5 gig is working for a Medicare contractor. Old people sure are fun! I also work a PT gig as a movie theatre projectionist (though calling it work is hardly appropriate - consider that i'm typing this in the middle of a set of shows (oops, Fever Pitch has to start. Later!)

Dunno how we missed you, Barry. We were there (obstensibly for "pickup shots" for our vid entry) Sunday morning as well. -
2 for speeding 92 in a 55; I was driving a 81 Toyota Tercel ... up hill ... I still don't think I was going that fast. 85 in a 65; We were going to Disneyland, it was a Sunday morning, no traffic ... ugh. I have also gotten a couple of tickets for no registration a whole bunch of years back. Gregg "I'm a good boy now ... I think" C. Edit: Watch me get pulled over on the way home tonight ...

MSN's Top Ten

Here's the list: There are so many things wrong with this list ... I find it HILARIOUS that the only Six Flags park listed is Astroworld ... -
We were driving to Oxnard today and saw an odd billboard. I guess SFMM and the Coastal cities are trying to work together and create some new tourist stuff, or just combine efforts. It looks like they are offering packages that include Channel Islands, Heritage Valley and SFMM in one. You can find the info here: http://www.coast2coasters.com/ Gregg "We thought it was involving all Six Flags parks when we saw the billboard" C.

USA park tour route
Sir Clinksalot replied to Freefall's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
First I would suggest doing the driving the night before so you can insure getting to the parks for opening. Always a smart thing. I've noticed that the majority of Six Flags parks can be done in 6 - 8 hours if you are there for opening. After Six Flags Great America in Chicago I would strongly suggest just going down to Six Flags St. Louis then continue south to SFOT and possibly SFFT. Then hit the 10 straight out to CA. You avoid having to go through the heart of the Rockies. -
