Two choices of days to visit Magic Mountain, which is best.
Sir Clinksalot replied to Coasterkid20's topic in Ask Alvey
I would say the 20th. It's a Friday, kids are still in school, for the most part, etc. There aren't any events going on that week, well according to their schedule. Avoid Memorial weekend at all costs. -
The Mega Dead Celebrity Thread
Sir Clinksalot replied to frozenflames's topic in Random, Random, Random
I find it weird that there is no objectivity when it comes to this man. Yes, he did a lot of great things. But, he's human, he's not perfect (although I guess when your Pope your supposed to be). There are still priests diddling little kids, and this man did very little to stop that. I just don't understand all of the deifying of a man. He's a sinner, just like all of us. How does one become pope? He get's voted to be pope by a bunch of other sinners, and all of the sudden he is without sin? What is that??? I haven't seen this kind of coverage for any head of a foreign state since ... well, since never. My kids school had their flags at half mast today. Why??? Did the President die? Did we have some major national disaster? Nope. I doubt flags will be at half mast when Margaret Thatcher dies. She did more for the US than any previous foreign dignatary. Let's face it ... the Pope is a political appointment who happens to be steep in Religious ceremony. That's it. He's a man, nothing more, nothing less. The other thing I found absolutely HILARIOUS was the line of cars going into the Catholic church by our house yesterday. The only other time I have seen it like that was Easter 2 years ago. I just don't understand that. What do people think: "Hey Honey, we haven't been to church in 2 years, but the Pope died so we should go ..." Doesn't make sense to me. If you weren't a good enough Catholic to go when the man was alive, then why do you feel the need to go when he is dead? I hope I haven't offended anybody by this, but let's keep this in perspective. 9/11 - Tragic Challenger - Tragic Tsunami of '04 - Tragic Pope Dying - Mother Nature, Circle of Life ... whatever you want to call it. -
The "Say Happy BDAY to your fellow users" Thread

Happy 15th b-day Coastermontu. Ahh ... to be 15 again ... and know what I know now!!! -
Wow, this really is a sausage fest!!! But yeah, let's face it, every straight guy or girl has the guy/girl they would go temporarily gay for. If someone says they don't, they are lying. Just as I'm sure there are gay people who would go straight (at least temporarily) for certain people. Me, I'm straight. But I'm man enough to be able to look at a guy and say, damn he's fine. It sometimes scares the wife, but she knows I'm all about the ladies!!! I grew up with alot of Gay people, my Mom is Gay. Most of her friends are Gay. It was never something that was hidden from me, so it's just a lifestyle that is different from the one I have. Anybody who says there is something wrong with being Gay obviously hasn't spent any considerable amount of time with Gay people. Gregg "You go girls" C.

Thanks in advance.

The "Absolutely Reliable Coney Con!"

Wondering how many people will actually show up for this. Oh right, no Buffet ... nobody will show ... -
Gruesome violence, twisted stories, and gun-slinging prostitutes ... sounds like my kind of movie. Watched a few movies over the weekend: Before Sunset I actually really enjoyed this. It was a cool caper film with some interesting twists. Woody Harrelson and Pierce Brosnan actually make a pretty good team. Finding Neverland This didn't win any awards why? The best movie I have seen so far from 2004. Johnny Depp was absolutely amazing, as he usually is. Finally a great movie to go along with a great performance. I think Jamie Foxx deserved his Oscar, but his was a great performance in an okay movie, unlike this. Closer I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. It was interesting but I was ready for it to end about 3/4 through the film, well, as soon as Natalie Portman's stripping scene was over. It just kept going back and fort between people. Just pick who you want to be with and be done with it already!!! Flight of the Phoenix It was okay. Nothing spectacular. I was definately expecting more out of this. Ella Enchanted One I had seen before, but it's still great. Sure it's campy, and a typical fairy-tale story, but it's got enough twisted humor in it to satisfy anybody.

^^^that's all well and good, but it's going to have to have some bang-up features to be better than the last DVD edition. What I'd love to see happen is some sort of a theatrical rerelease. Don't go wide with it - limited is fine. I have no issues driving three or four hours to Atlanta to catch it. Or maybe they'll just randomly pick up a print of it at the Universal Cineplex. Last time I was down there, I saw a listing for Ice Pirates. Not Ice Princess, Ice PIRATES. I guess they do some sort of "bizarre cult movie" thing there. Yet another reason to move to Orlando. . .

Anything to do with Feminine Hygene. I mean, why do they need to advertise this stuff??? It's not like Women don't need it. Then they put the liquid in there to demonstrate. Don't leave the TV on during Sex, if you hear one of those ads, there goes the mood.

Project X
Sir Clinksalot replied to ArachnaAngel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Much worse ... You could actually get on the ride. X is a good ride, in concept. In execution, not so much. I have ridden it 4 times. Have had 2 okay rides, 1 excellent ride and one ride that was the worst experience I have ever had on a coaster. And yes, that includes the Manhattan Express ride that Robb and I took last year. If they could somehow make it consistently smooth and re-rideable it could be the best coaster ever. Unfortunately I don't see that happening. -

Gas Prices where you live
Sir Clinksalot replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
87 - $2.57 89 - $2.67 91 - $2.77 It cost me $30 to fill up the Kia yesterday. It was about $23 to fill it up a week ago ... This really sucks especially when you have 2 people who commute and are putting 100 miles on the car daily. -
^ That's just sick. I think Robb's waiting list is longer than Elissa's.
