^ Dude, why did you take away the Pepper Jack Sandwich ... SOB!!! Well, my original screen name (still is some places) was Sir Clinksalot. It's the name of the knight in Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Well, I did have that name on TPR for the first day or so (before it was public). I then decided I wanted to change it. I asked Robb what it should be and he said "SuperCrack" because, well, I have a Super Crack. He then added the "Check out that ass" title and the rest is ... well ... history.

I loved how on the preview Ron and Kelly said they were playing ethically unlike Romber. WTF!?!? It's for $1 million dollars. I would yield my mother for $1 million. Hell, I would yield her just because I thought it was effin' hilarious. They were just pissed they didn't get their first. They would have yielded Romber. -
You know, it's weird. 3 years ago I would have said I would NEVER move outside of CA. But ... the more I travel and see different parts of the country I just feel like I've done all I can do here. I've seen all I need to see here. The people here (for the most part) just get on my nerves. It's time for a change of scenery. Plus, I need to start thinking about the kids future (college) and Kristi and my future (retirement). I want to retire by 55, so that only gives me 25 more years to get there. Might seem like a long time, but it's really not. Unfortunately with the cost of living on CA it's not gonna happen.

Yeah, the Game Informer article was way cool. Didn't know there was a picture of Robb in it until he told me. Need to get him to autograph it for me ... -

^ See Elissa ... here we thought that the four of us were the only ones who didn't like Napoleon Dynamite ... I remember talking to Robb while you guys were watching it and him asking me if there was a point to it ... In a word ... No ... -

I agree with Wes. I totally did not 'get' what everybody was raving about. It had some slight chuckles, but that was about it. Completely pointless if you ask me. A few others: Elektra - Not even Jennifer Garner could save this movie Closer - Not even Natalie Portman could save this movie Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - After the ooohs and aaahs of the graphics, realized there was no point -

CD Thoughts: Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
Sir Clinksalot replied to disneyfan1313's topic in Random, Random, Random
I had no clue that Reznor has cleaned himself up (which is funny, because you always thought you wouldn't be surprised when that cheerful bloke turned up dead). As long as he doesn't find religion and scrap all his earlier material, I'm cool with that. I'm hoping seeing NIN live will turn my feelings on this album. That's happened plenty of times in the past, where I just didn't "get" the album until I saw the songs performed live. "Beautiful Garbage" and Butch Walker's "Left of Self-Centered" were both albums that fit that category. -

Yeah, this year has kinda blown for me as far as favorite bands releasing albums. First Garbage's "Bleed Like Me" was mediocre (though repeated listenings have certainly raised my opinion of it, I still hear it as their worst album). Now "With Teeth" comes out and I just feel - detached from it. First off, there's the length. 54 minutes for a NIN album? Are we sure this isn't an EP? The Downward Spiral was a full 70 - 75 minutes, and Fragile stretched over 2 discs. Granted, both of the previous albums had lots of trance-y instrumental angst in them, but in those cases I felt like the lulls between the rage of a "Day the World Went Away" or a "Star*uckers, Inc" were needed. There's some good tracks here, but like that Garbage CD, this feels like the least of Reznor's efforts. I mean, compare this to the building themes and overall tone of Downward Spiral - apples and orange seeds. -

Haven't picked it up ... yet. Not yet midnight here on the West. But I will probably get it Wednesday. A mediocre NIN album is better than most other albums out these days. But yeah, Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral are certainly their best. I will post my review after I get it. -
What's your favorite web site and why?

You mean there are more websites besides this one? I never knew. Most sites I am on are for business purposes, so I wouldn't go so far as to say they are my favorites. -
Help with Bay Area Trip!!!
Sir Clinksalot posted a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We are going up to the Bay Area over Memorial Weekend. Our original plan was to drive up on Wednesday the 25th, do PGA on Thursday the 26th. SFMW on Friday the 27th. San Francisco City Stuff on Saturday the 28th. Bonfante and SCBB on Sunday the 29th. Drive down the coast home on Monday the 30th. Well, PGA has screwed up our schedule. They don't open until Saturday. Which means now we will be doing SF City Stuff on Thursday and PGA on Saturday. I think we may just take the coast up on Wednesday now and take the fast way (Interstate 5) home on Monday. So here are my questions. How busy will PGA be on that Saturday? Should we also set aside Monday Morning/Afternoon for PGA? We will have AP's there (since they are also good at Bonfante) so we will probably go back sometime during the summer. What else besides Pier 39, Golden Gate, Alcatraz are MUST do's in SF? I haven't been in about 13 years and Kristi and the kids have never been. We are also thinking of doing the Jelly Belly tour on our way up to Vallejo. Is 10-6 enough time for SFMW on a Friday? Remember we have never been here. How much time do we set aside for Bonfante and SCBB on Sunday? Remember our kids will LOVE Bonfante. Any suggestions on Hotels for the City, Six Flags, PGA and Santa Cruz/Gilroy. We don't care what chain as long as it's clean and in a relatively safe area. Is staying in the city too expensive? Should we just stay outside the city on Wednesday night? Thanks!!! -
Queue-jumping for dollars

Bloody hell! Now THAT is extreme. There's no way I'm going to shell out a hundred clams for a Gold Qbot. I hope those prices aren't applicable at SFOG....otherwise my girl's gonna be doing a lot of waiting... -
How much do you make at your job?

$9.50 an hour for projection? Jeez, and I thought I was overpaid. (then again, considering the amount of work I do, I think it still applies). -

Any trips planned this month?
Sir Clinksalot replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Due to work concerns, we've had to cancel any major trips we had planned this summer (our contract is up for renewal this year, and if we lose the contract, burning through a few grand on summer vacations is going to really come back and bite us in the bum). Our initial summer was going to have Cedar Point, Geauga Park, King's Dominion, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg in it, but, alas, it's not gonna happen. The one trip we haven't cancelled ('cause we can't) is a trip to Atlanta in three weeks. A friend's getting married (at the Atlanta Renaissance Fair - yeah, I know), so while we're there we're going to hit up Six Flags Over Georgia (and catch a Nine Inch Nails concert). I'm going to go ahead and get a Season Pass, since we'll be back in Atlanta at the end of the summer for a geek-convention (Dragon-Con - where else can you see Stormtroopers wandering the streets?). Apart from that and a possible journey up to (ugh) Carowinds, looks like it's going to be a slow, slow summer. -
The coaster season is close to being in full swing, and all parks are almost open. Anybody have any trips planned? For us this is the only weekend we don't have anything planned. Next weekend I think we are going to go to Hurricane Harbor for opening weekend. (weather permitting) The following weekend we are going to go to LegoLand to use our passes one last time before they expire and go to the AP preview for the new RoboCoaster attraction. And then probably to Disney on Sunday to check out the 50th stuff. The following weekend is Elissa's Special Olympics thing. And we are throwing a party for a friend of mine at work who is moving to Ohio. And then on Memorial Weekend we will be up in the Bay area. Our original plan was to do PGA on Thursday, SFMW Friday, San Francisco Stuff on Saturday and Bonfante/SCBB on Sunday. Well, turns out PGA isn't open until Saturday so we will have to brave the crowds. UGH!!!!
