  1. Great video Robb. Really enjoyed Gold Striker a LOT more than I thought I would when I rode it last month.
  2. Also sad to hear about Judge. It was one of our sons favorite rides when we were at the park (and one of the only ones he'd actually ride at that age LOL). Shame you skipped the S&S Tower, from what I recall it's a Combo tower and was a lot of fun.
  3. Volbeat - The Nameless One
  4. Full Throttle probably 2 weeks ago. Probably at least another month until I ride another coaster.
  5. I don't even think the new haunted house took this long. There's got to be something going on that hasn't been released yet.
  6. Between Carbomb and Regehr the Kings are going to put the hurt on some guys this year.
  7. ^ There wasn't a lot, but in this concept picture there was covering similar to the existing one over the station. Hopefully that will come soon. And maybe a permanent queue. Of course, concept art is never to be trusted ... I mean, look at all those trees ... and two trains in/on the loop!!!
  8. ^ Totally disagree. Look at what they did for Green Lantern. While I don't care for the ride very much the DC Universe makeover was great, and still is. Even if I have no desire to ever ride GL:FF again I still get enjoyment over in that area. It brought much needed life to the area and while I never saw anybody really riding the Musik Express or the Round Up before, I see many people riding them now. Full Throttle is a fun ride, as I've said, probably the best ride in the park. The restaurant and water feature are nice. But once you get into the actual queue, the station, etc it's just half-assed all the way around. On a TOTALLY unrelated subject, while looking for something online I came across these cool videos from the last day of the 99 Steam Train apparently filmed by one of the conductors. The 2nd part of it actually has some nice shots of a VERY bright Colossus as well. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  9. Even the biggest SFMM Fanboy should see that the Full Throttle area was thrown together in a week. Because, guess what, it was.
  10. ^ Some schools actually start that early so it will probably be a pretty good week to go. Generally Tue, Wed, Thu are your best bets.
  11. Thanks for clarifying Jeff, I was still confused. LOL I'm currently at Level 30 so I'll be there soon ... unless they add another level soon.
  12. I'm confused ... how do you get Donuts from doing this? Is there some kind of strategy for getting Donuts that I'm not aware of?
  13. Great stuff so far. Sounds like an epic trip. I know most people love Flo's but in my two experiences there I was EXTREMELY underwhelmed, especially for the price. I actually think that the Paradise Garden Grill has the best food at the resort. I also love Maters, glad you enjoyed it.
  14. Any indication as to when another NHL team would conceivably be able to sign him? I'm sure it's a few years at least. I didn't see that in the article. But I think Joey's right, he saw the writing on the wall in NJ. In other news, Kings re-sign Martinez. Hopefully Penner is next. http://kings.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=677986
  15. Finally getting to the point where I'm getting most of the normal quests done so I can start actually having some $$ in the bank for all of the new stuff. Thought the picture below was funny during the "make people eat at The Frying Dutchman" challenge.
  16. Damn ... Guess I'll have to see it again now.
  17. Maybe they are just moving Green Lantern from SFMM and putting something else in it's place. We can hope!!! I wouldn't mind Ragin' Cajun coming to SFMM personally. Nice that the height restrictions are being relaxed. I agree with everybody else that SFA has a LOT of potential. They have some decent coasters. Superman is of course the standout but we noticed on our visit last week a LOT of rust on the trains. Even on the "Coaster Wars" show we could still see it. You would have thought they would have cleaned it up for TV. The park does need more than that as Shawn mentioned.
  18. Honestly, in my experience with TPR events, for the most part you don't need a FlashPass. You figure you are going to get ERT on X2, Tatsu, Apocalypse, Full Throttle, Lex Luthor and Goliath. So you won't have any need to ride them during the day if you ride them during Morning/Night ERT. When the park opens hit the other rides that could get long lines like Superman, Green Lantern and Riddlers. That leaves the rest of the day to get on the rest of the coasters, which shouldn't be a problem. It's also an off-season Saturday and isn't during Fright Fest. Unless there is some kind of school event (Physics Day, etc) then it shouldn't be too busy.
  19. ^ Totally agreed. Pacific Rim was a hell of a lot of fun.
  20. Nice review. Glad you had a fun time. It's odd, it seems like this summer hasn't been as busy as maybe the park was hoping? And from this day, Green Lantern will be known as Green Hornet. Both movies sucked but the ride sucks even more.
  21. https://blog.twitter.com/2013/when-a-sharknado-attacks-how-the-phenomenon-happened-on-twitter Thought this was an interesting read regarding the Sharknado phenomenon and Twitter.
  22. I've decided that I'm going to skip my race on that Sunday. The Knott's day just sounds too awesome to pass up. As for SFMM, trying to decide if we'll do the event or just come up for the day to hang out with friends and then head down to Knott's in the evening.
