I don't think the manufacturer is going to get blamed for this. My guess is it's going to be deemed "operator error" and that Six Flags will get dinged for it. What changes come out of this? At the very least stricter restrictions on "rider size/body type" than before. And they won't be shy about it.

Finally watched the HLN "After Dark" thing last night. So glad Robb was on the show. If they'd have given him a little more airtime I think he would would have swayed a couple of other people on the "jury". Is this the normal format of that show? I found it pretty much unwatchable for the most part. The host certainly had his own feeling and it felt like he was trying to convince everybody else he was right without trying to act like he was trying to convince everybody he was right. And the lawyer guy, did anybody hear him kind of slip up and pretty much flat-out say that the restraint failed on NTAG? As a lawyer you'd think he would be better at stating his case in a way that didn't make him look like a total douche. But good job by Robb.

PCH from SF to LA is beautiful, but just keep in mind it's going to take you about 8-9 hours vs. the normal 5-6 hours. Plus there are more places you'll likely want to stop to take pictures, etc so I'd give yourself at least 12 hours. That said, if you have the time you won't be disappointed. Also, there are a couple of spots you can kind of "skip". If you are just driving to SFMM and using the 126 to get there from the 101, once you hit Pismo Beach (heading south) I'd actually just stay on the 101. There really isn't much through that area and it doesn't really go along the coast too much. If you want to take another nice road you could take the 154 through Santa Ynez wine country and down into Santa Barbara.

You mean the "After Dark" show? Unless it gets posted to the HLN news site, I probably won't post it. It was an hour long show and I'm only in it for about 5 minutes of the whole thing. I think posting only my clips out of context may seem a bit weird. If someone sees it show up on the HLN website, please post a link! Yeah, that one. No worries. Just saw that it re-airs at midnight. Set the DVR.

What ^ said. It's technically large enough but considering that is the only way through that area now (because the path past Flashback is now completely blocked off) I wouldn't anticipate them putting any kind of major element in that area. I don't think we'll be seeing a new coaster next year but we'll get Iron Colossus in 2015. I just hope they give some notice before Colossus closes since we didn't get any with Log Jammer.

^^ I had to read your post a couple of times because it seemed like you were comparing Monty Python to a Happy Madison movie. Glad I cleaned my glasses and figured out what you were saying. Watched Expendables 2 the other night. Best exchange in the movie: Ahnold: I'll Be Back Bruce Willis: You've come back enough, I'll be back Ahnold: YipeeKiYay Oh, and is it just me or does Chuck Norris have dentures?

The only way a woodie would conceivably work in that area of the park would probably mean that Revolution was removed. There is room for another steel coaster in that side of the park but probably not a terrain woodie. I'm still thinking we'll eventually get a Wing rider with a twist right through the middle of Full Throttles loop.

IF the issue was the lap bar sitting on her stomach and not her thighs then it's also conceivable that IF there was a seat belt it also would have been sitting on her stomach and not her thighs. So the point is moot. What needed to be done is she needed to lift up her stomach and push the lap bar down over her thighs and the lower her stomach over it. Or she needed to not ride.

^ Says the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. I'm actually fine with the names and the alignments. -
I'm sure this has been mentioned before in the thread but if you start telling people of a certain "size" that they can't ride, even though they technically fit in the restraints the parks are opening themselves for lawsuits due to idiots in the US. My guess is this is why we keep seeing similar incidents although nobody is going to come out and say so.

I think this is part of the reason I never rode Perilous Plunge after the new restraints went on. I couldn't imagine how long it would have taken to get people out of that boat (considering how long it took to get them in). -
