  1. Glad that's resolved. So for those of you local people, is the smart thing to do now is go to Superman first or is it still Medusa first and then head over to Superman?
  2. ^ Agreed. But want it to fly over the Top-Hat for the airtime.
  3. Heading up north for the SF Marathon this weekend. Saturday - SFDK Sunday - SF Marathon (possibly SCBB in the evening after afternoon nap) Monday - CGA
  4. Some schools are still in. Ventura County schools are and they do make a pretty big impact on the park. Tomorrow and Thursday are likely going to be the lightest days for awhile.
  5. It's going to be The Bat reborn. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] All the guano kind of goes along with Guy's poop on a stick too.
  6. More Haunt news: I thought this maze had an "ok" first year. Has a lot of potential so I'm hoping it blows it out of the water this year.
  7. Not interested here either. Honestly, the thing we do LEAST on our current gen consoles is play games, except for the Wii. People are bending over backwards saying that the XBox One is going to replace their entire entertainment console but it's only a "Pass Through" for your cable box and it obviously can't do what AppleTV can do. So basically you get to switch between the Xbox and back to TV quicker? Because it's so hard to switch it back and forth through your TV? And people think that Apple Fanboys are bad.
  8. ^ Yes. Gold Passholders get in 10 minutes early. The Gold entry is at the far right of the entry gates. There is also the Discovery Card early entry.
  9. ^ Sounds like an awesome day at Dorney. I agree, the shirts were great. Since they are tech (running) shirts I'll wear the new shirt a LOT more than the other T-shirts since I can wear it when I'm running.
  10. ^ It is. As for the speed of the launch, I'm guessing this is out of the tunnel from a stopped position not from the backwards launch and having momentum going in the 3rd launch so it "may" be faster than the video is showing. As for the vertical video, I really have no comment.
  11. I did the one at SFMM earlier this year, it was fun but I can't handle the constant flipping (probably 7 or 8 times) so I wouldn't ride it again.
  12. Got to check out the new Boardwalk area and updated Log Ride today. All great additions to the park. Really love the look of the Boardwalk area and Coast Rider is a heck of a lot of fun. Rode Log Ride twice and I can't wait to ride it some more. It was already the best log ride and now it's even better.
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of a WingRider doing a flip through the loop but Giga works too. You know they'll go with the WingRider though.
  14. Did anybody doing the Knott's day get a conflicting email from Leidy yesterday? In her email it said the event started at 8:00 but in the attachment it says it starts at 7:00. It's also started at 7:00 the last 2 years. I was going to email her to verify but somehow the email is totally gone, not even in trash.
  15. That looks great Chuck, thanks so much for sharing. Now two of my favorite parks have Food and Wine festivals. I need to visit both ... and soon.
  16. Seriously, can we make this happen? If they aren't going to Duel it anymore then they just need to do it already.
  17. I'm still playing because I just started playing about 1 1/2 months ago, but even I'm just setting everybody on 24 hour tasks and periodically visiting friends towns. I'd like to finish my Springfield but I'm in no rush.
  18. ^ Yes. And apparently some kind of light show at night. Also makes me wonder if it will be some kind of FF Scare Zone as well.
  19. ^ I think they'll lose "some" $$ but not a whole lot. In the grand scheme of things losing 1-2 months on a ride that you hope will be around for 25-30 years isn't really that big of a deal. As for the ads, I find it funny that they are so adamant that "Full Throttle Land" doesn't interfere with High Sierra Territory yet there is a HUGE Got2B ad attached to the front of Mooseburger. Although walking past Golden Bear Theater I did hear the awesome Bluegrass version of Hot for Teacher. Definitely a +1. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  20. Full Throttle update for June 6th. Didn't see any testing today. They were doing work in the tunnel and on the station itself so I didn't think they would be in the morning. Not sure if they ever did in the Afternoon. On to the pics. EVERY line for the metal detectors was open. It looked like they were training staff in advance of the busy summer. People think Disney checks would be slower with these. If it's good enough for Six Flags ... just sayin'. YOLO Fountain/Falls were closed for some reason the last few weeks. They are back open now. Some hoodlums jacked Batman's fountain. Too bad there wasn't a superhero around that could have grabbed them, hung them off a building and said "I'm Batman" in a manly voice. The Batman trains are back from rehab and shiny. Some work going on in YOLO tunnel. This makes it YOLO +1. A closer shot. Do not enter unless you want to OLO. Water Dummies hanging out getting a tan. Water Dummies apparently only like it in the front. Log Jammer queue is sealed up. Gate posts have been posted. Workers Workin'. Trees Growin' Tim Timmin' Food and Retail location getting the DC Universe look. Leftover paint? Lots of work still to be done. Think that concrete in back is for YOLO Dance Party See, lots of work to be done still.
  21. Was at the park this morning. No testing. They were doing welding in the station and work in the tunnel so the train was out in front of the Tunnel. Not sure if it will be testing today but I wasn't going to wait around. Based on the site there is still a few weeks worth of work to be done (in addition to testing). I can't see this thing opening up before the last weekend in June.
  22. I'm going to head up to the park tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to catch a few test runs.
  23. Like Robb, I hadn't really been following the construction and I was pretty shocked to see that it didn't have any launches. I was totally expecting the 2nd lift hill to be a launch. The ride looks fun but when I finally get to Alton Towers this isn't going to be my first stop.
  24. ^^ Knott's is actually 160 acres, but I'm pretty sure that includes the entire property. It's a bit bigger than just a normal "city block".
