^^ I'm concerned as well, but the difference between Kaepernick and a lot of other "running QB's" is that he's just as comfortable in the pocket as he is running down the field. I watched him a lot when he was at Nevada so I wasn't really surprised at what he was able to do last year. As for teams "figuring him out", I'd be worried if we didn't have Jim Harbaugh as a coach. -

I think it's Snake. Just got a new challenge with him. Unless there is one I was missing which would be surprising. Been awhile. -

As I mentioned above, anything less than a Super Bowl win for the 49ers is a huge disappointment. I think the AFC is pretty much wide open this year and I think we'll see some surprises. I think that Cincinnati is going to surprise some teams as well as Cleveland. I think Baltimore is going to spiral downward ... quickly and won't even make the playoffs. NFC: East - NY Giants North - Green Bay South - Atlanta West - San Francisco Wild Cards - New Orleans/Seattle NFC Championship - SF over Seattle AFC: East - Miami North - Cincinnati South - Indianapolis West - Denver Wild Cards - Kansas City/Houston AFC Championship - Denver over Indianapolis Super Bowl: San Francisco over Denver -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

I just hope the ride has some "balls" unlike most recent B&M's. I'm not saying it has to be Batman: The Ride Intense, but a few moments of intensity would be nice. -

Usually with Stubhub you can find tickets that are E-tickets or pick-up at Will Call. Beware if they want you to pick up at an off-site location. There are a few places that are like that for Kings games here in LA and it's just a pain. -

Regarding the PED thing, and A-Roid, I pretty much agree with Joey. I've never liked it and would have liked to see this addressed in 1998, not 2013. If Selig would have done the right thing during the McGwire/Sosa Summer we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. As for A-Roid in particular, idiot needs to just shut up already. If I was a Yankee fan there is no way I'd support the team. If I was the Yankees manager, A-Roid would be sitting on the bench. I don't care if I have to bring somebody up from A-ball. Wonder what Selig is going to say when A-Roid wins a game for the Yankees and it's the deciding factor in them getting to the Playoffs or another team not getting in the Playoffs? Wonder what Selig is going to say if A-Roid makes a major impact in the playoffs? Do the Yankees get an asterisk if they happen to win the WS this year? The whole thing sucks and I think A-Roid being able to play has the potential to taint the game more than all of the other cheaters combined. -

Hmmm ... maybe I don't have the right people open. I'll look around online to see what I may be missing. -

Haven't watched any Preseason games yet and probably won't until we are at the 49ers game on the 25th. -

So it looks like you can't do all of the Wolfbane stuff without spending donuts? I only got about 2 quests out of him without doing the Film Set. Ugh ... Still, enjoying Krustyland so far. -
^ But the one they were planning on getting may not be as tall as the one at Knott's. That was what I was trying to say earlier but did a crappy job. How is Windseeker not a family ride anyway? It's better to have something instead of a 300 foot lawn ornament. I think there is something to this. IMO, the SkyScreamers are more thrilling than the Windseekers so it's not just a "look at how high I am" it's a "look at how high I am and oh crap, is that just a chain" thing. We rode the one at KD last year and while fun it just isn't thrilling at all other than it's a Sky Tower on the Outside instead of inside. And since you can't take pictures it's kind of pointless. But I can imagine the view of the lake really adds to the experience vs. KD or Buena Park.

^^ Does Dorney have a height restriction? ^^^ I don't think that would necessarily be true. Markey is on a one-man mission and most people, when shown the hard evidence, realize that there is nothing "broken" in the industry and the way they inspect their rides. Cal-OSHA isn't just about rides and parks. If it was a Cal-OSHA issue it probably had something to do with employee safety vs. rider safety, probably similar to the issues Disney's been having recently and the issue SFMM had prior to Full Throttle opening on Media Day. As for Windseeker closing, no big loss IMO. It was fun but not fun enough to where I'd want them to spend millions of dollars fixing it when it doesn't need fixing. I guess it's a good thing they didn't close the Sky Tower now. Guess now the speculation on what kind of flat ride will go in that spot can begin.

Five Guys voted favorite burger chain
Sir Clinksalot replied to gisco's topic in Random, Random, Random
Just having a very similar discussion with a friend on Facebook and he said something that I actually agree with when it comes to In N Out. They aren't my favorite but I honestly can't ever remember having a "bad" In N Out burger. They are nothing if not consistent. With In N Out you know you are always going to get a hot, fresh, well cooked burger, whether they are your favorite or not. Most other Fast Food type places can't meet that criteria. I can't count how many bad burgers I've had at other "chain" places. So if nothing else, they've got that. -

Do you have a Six Flags Gold Pass or Discover Card? If you have either you can get in 10-15 minutes prior to the rest of the GP and head straight for X2. I'd do that even before you get your Flash Pass. If not, then I'd suggest getting to the park no later than 9:45am to make sure you are one of the first people through the gate. Same process of heading straight for X2 applies. If it's a busy day (and it probably will be as it's just before school for most) you are going to have to either wait for X2 or Full Throttle so it's pretty much "pick your poison". IMO, at least the Full Throttle line moves consistently so I'd rather wait in that line vs. X2. If for some some reason you don't see X2 testing or it doesn't look like it will open with the park then I'd go to Full Throttle first. Whatever ride you don't ride at park open I'd head back to around 3-4pm as sometimes there is a lull around those times as people are getting on water rides, etc. Good luck.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

Just realized that a year ago right now we were enjoying some kick ass ERT at KD and some incredible night rides on I305. -
I'm just glad those punk dance kids didn't get through. The Struck Boyz or whatever they were called. They annoyed the hell out of me.
