Probably none. I don't see any major parks or chains picking up too many of these rides at all to be honest. Maybe 1 or 2.. But I would be shocked if a single ride from this park ends up at DL or any six flags park. I fully expect some FEC's or maybe a park like Alabama Adventure being the place rides from these closing parks end up.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
WolfBobs replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would agree to this, that drawing IF made by or for the park could've just been concept art from a B&M proposal. Or from a marketing guys proposal and nothing more. Someone had an idea, made some art and it got leaked. It also could've been made by a random internet troll to make people lose their minds. Every leak should always be taken with a grain of salt until the park officially announces. I mean, it was what? 10 years between I305 and Twisted Timbers? Just because the park removed a coaster doesn't mean they have plans to immediately replace it, especially if the removal was a last minute decision due to (hypothetically) unforeseen, too expensive to repair maintenance issues. -

No. Will enthusiasts ever learn? Anniversaries sell themselves. Also, I know it's early but after Orion I do not see a coaster as early as 2022. As far as KD is concerned, I'm gonna put the positive energy out there that CF changed their mind's from this rumored B&M to something new from Vekoma. Their new designs make me tingle. At the same time, I always find rumors being debunked by the sites that start them to be fishy from the beginning. Maybe a little clickbaity. -
Lost Island Waterpark planning Theme Park

Very exciting, I know the SLC probably won't be great unless they also get new trains but I have always wanted to ride one of the extended models that includes the helix. -

Better yet, when can this same treatment happen with Magnum!? Agreed! Nothing lasts forever! Time to move on. -

Has anyone made a Jersey Devil/Six Flags joke yet? I personally can not wait to get on Orion. I have yet to ride a B&M hyper or giga that didn't leave me smiling at the end. -

My opinion on this, especially as some of these closer neighborhoods seem to be new construction is SOL. I'm sorry, it's just ignorant to buy a house near a park, especially as that was probably a selling point and then complain. I do think they cities can help by creating building codes for new construction near the park that couple eliminate some of the noise by using better sound dampening insulation or windows. I know when Hopkins added a new runway in CLE part of the deal was upgrading thousands of houses with appropriate windows. Not suggesting the park do that, but make those windows, or similar be mandatory on new construction within X miles of the park. -

^Sadly, you're not the targeted demographic for FL+. The demographic is just people who see value and are willing to drop $600 on it on a July Saturday (family of 4). -

I would love to see more parks just go ahead and install solar panels on ride stations and buildings, any where possible. More the better! -

I am a little surprised that this years addition, while not a coaster didn't end up on Fastlane+ as a just because. I figured any new addition that is an adult/family attraction would make it on purely from a marketing stand point, if only for it's debut season in the case of Snake River Expedition. Personally, I would like to see regular Fastlane still offer the same rides that Fastlane+ offers but be a single use option. Whereas Fastlane+ would be unlimited rides. Then there may be value in both levels but also limit the amount of people in the fastlane lines as well. Kind of how Busch has Quick Queue and QQ Unlimited. -

Honestly, I love Phantom's Revenge so much it would be interesting to see what Morgan could have done with rides like Vortex and the terrain it sits on. Oh well. -

Having been a ride op at GL for 5 years I can tell you hundreds of 16 yr olds have operated Thunderhawk before it moved up north. It was fine. At 16 we had operators on Big Dipper and Wolf Bobs using completely manual operations, levers and such to operate the brakes. Those two rides didn't fully automate until around 2003/2004. If a person is trained properly and the management holds them accountable age shouldn't matter. If they are legally allowed to drive unsupervised there is no reason they can't operate a much safer, almost 100% idiot proof amusement attraction.

My state doesn't trust 16-yr-olds to operate motor vehicles, unless they live on a farm and get a special permit that allows them to drive within the boundaries of the farm. NJ doesn't count. That state has a lot of weird rules. Ya'll can't pump gas and you have this weird thing against left turns. lol Source: My mom is from NJ and I have forgiven her.

For me it's just the park that it's being built in and the fact that we'll be able to ride it all the time. Steel Vengeance is much closer to us than Tampa but we can't hop on our favorite sh*thole airline and go there for $15 so we end up in Central Florida way more often. For me it's only because the ride is purple! And the fact they named the ride after a mythical crocodile. I love big purple mythical crocodiles. Purple rides are the besT!!!1!

Does BGT offer an at the gate twilight park ticket? I looked through that link you provided there and didn't see anything listed. It's a long way off but I'll have a night in Tampa before a cruise in November and was hoping to hit up the park for a few hours the night before. Haven't been since I moved away from Tampa in 2009.

I'm coming around to Almond Joy which I hate because it means that I'm getting old and turning into my dad. When I start eating peppermint patties I know I have officially become my grandfather. I'm I the only human that likes twizzlers and almond joy? -

I'm really happy my time working rides was right before the smart phone addiction. Even though people probably had cell phones in their pockets, at the time they didn't really have video capture capabilities. Didn't have to worry too much about idiots taking them out to film on the ride. Now with this obsession that every moment needs to be captured I don't know if I would be able to constantly deal with the idiots with a smile and customer service voice. I wish more of these lawsuits would just get thrown out of court. They're a waste. But sadly, the park will probably settle to make this go away.

Trust me, as a guest who follows the rules too I would be annoyed. And honestly in my 5 years of operating rides the shady parent who swapped bands, stuffed shoes, changed shoes, etc may have only happened a few times a season but it did happen. The normal problem I had was a child wearing flip-flops with a 2"+ heal or sole that would make a kid barely 48". Then they would want to remove the flip flops to ride so they wouldn't fly off. Now the kid is two inches too short and under the requirement. It was always such an aggravating battle. In the end, ride ops aren't trying to be d**cks, they're just trying to do their best while some douchie parents are trying to cheat a system to get their kid to ride something. But most parents would be cool. I even got to height check the kids of my childhood hero, Bernie Kosar! He was awesome about it when I had to deny one of his kids a ride at Raging Wolf Bobs. Even chatted with me at the control booth and signed an autograph for me before he left.
