  1. ^Send me $99 via Paypal and I'll send that right over.
  2. Unless you have Breakers reservations I wouldn't book anything until you know you're reservations are secure. I heard it may feel a little like playing the lottery at first due to the 20% capacity restriction for Ohio parks for phase 1. And there are A LOT of gold pass holders this season.
  3. Unsure if this is a general statement or was directed to me since I posted the video.. But I agree. I wear a mask anytime I go out in public, I work in pharma so I wear one all day at work. And I think people who think it's so terrible are, well.. selfish. It's literally the easiest thing to do to keep yourself and others safe until an effective vaccine is available.
  4. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Appears that June 22 will be the day for Worlds of Fun! https://ir.cedarfair.com/news/news-details/2020/The-Fun-is-Back-Cedar-Fair-Begins-Phased-Park-and-Hospitality-Openings-in-Ohio-Texas-Missouri-and-California-With-New-Health-and-Safety-Protocols-for-Guests-and-Associates/default.aspx
  5. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Released for Worlds of Fun as they're the first park to open, but filmed at KI and narrated by Tony, so it's safe to assume it'll be the same video for all parks.
  6. They released a video for Worlds of Fun outlining the guidelines, since it was filmed at Kings Island and narrated by Tony Clark I'm sure it'll be the same video for every park. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] I didn't see any info when the reservation system will go live. I'm sure it'll be like playing the lottery at first.
  7. Was planning on hitting up BGT on a Sunday in November before a cruise (planned well before COVID) as of now the park will not be open on Sundays, even in November. Well that sucks, now not only is the cruise a question mark so is my day before activity lol. sighhhhhhh
  8. It's the right of any private business to require facemasks while on their property. Again, I agree, if you as an individual do not like or agree to the policy just don't go until things change. Don't expect a park to make exceptions for you purely out of "customer service." Don't get angry if and when it's enforced. Don't go planning to be a madlad and break the rules out of your own entitlement. Please don't be an a**hole. This is effecting everyone, not just yourself.
  9. Seriously, rides can't be inspected if they don't have inspectors. Also, rides go through hundreds of test cycles pre-season before inspectors are even on site. Inspectors do NOT inspect prior to test cycles. It's also very common for inspectors to be on-site the morning of opening day doing last minute inspections, sometimes not even approving rides to open for the season until after gates have been open to the public. Happens every year. Source: Experience from working at Ohio amusement parks.
  10. Sigh, as excited as I am for this park to grow and add a new, fantastic ride. I am still bummed I will have to wait longer for some new Vekoma goodness to reach America. Also, personally I am not a fan of Freespins, just not my jam. Great for the park, great for the market to get a new ride, just not my jam lol. But I will make an effort to visit this park either in 2021 or 2022 when that other park in Iowa is supposed to open (Lost Island?).
  11. In the past, MiA staff has come down to CP and KI to help during early season start-up, before the season starts up in Michigan. It could become entirely possible CF will decide to have MiA not open this summer if it gets too late and move those available employees south for the winter. It could help getting Point open faster if their Maintenance team comes down to help, full timers running rides, etc.
  12. Less Karens the better in my opinion. Wearing a mask is literally the simplest thing to do right now to keep people and yourself as safe as possible. Are they perfect? No. But some protection is better than nothing at all.

  14. Governor DeWine said an announcement regarding amusement parks, zoos, FEC's, etc. will be made on Thursday and will be "good news" for most. https://www.cleveland.com/business/2020/06/gov-mike-dewine-says-hell-reveal-thursday-when-zoos-museums-and-amusement-parks-can-reopen.html
  15. I have no experience on T3. I purposely avoid it when I visit the park. I am not that big of a credit whore I need to put my body through torture just for a credit. I've ridden enough Vekoma SLCs of that time period in Vekomas history to know what kind of ride experience I will get. I did really enjoy the one that was at GL, commonly considered the best one of the era. I also really enjoyed the re-tracked Nor'easter at Morey's. Other than those two rides I have not had a good experience on any other one. That said, please bring new Vekoma to the States! Someone, anyone! I would even be okay if KK wanted to let Vekoma re-track T3 like they did with the Nor'Easter.
  16. I guess I should be clear, I didn't mean parks do not care or celebrate anniversaries. They obviously do. I meant there is no substantial evidence to show that major anniversaries equate to major investments such as a giant new roller coaster to celebrate it. CP has regularly been in the habit of hanging banners on rides for their 45th or 35th anniversary, etc. But has rarely invested in a large ride for the sole purpose to celebrate their anniversary. To me the point of an anniversary is to celebrate the history of the item, park or event. Not to take away from that by constantly adding something new and large and unique.
  17. Ohio has extended the ban on mass gatherings to July 1. Making CP or KI opening before then unlikely unless outdoor attractions receive exceptions. https://www.cleveland.com/coronavirus/2020/05/new-ohio-coronavirus-order-extends-mass-gathering-ban-until-july-1.html
  18. Haven't seen this posted here but Ohio has extended the ban on mass gatherings to July 1. Making CP or KI opening before then unlikely unless outdoor attractions receive exceptions. https://www.cleveland.com/coronavirus/2020/05/new-ohio-coronavirus-order-extends-mass-gathering-ban-until-july-1.html
  19. Humans will be the infection they try to terminate!
  20. Watching that video of the new Vekoma Suspended coaster at Tripsdrill has me thinking more and more how it would be a perfect replacement for Dragon.. Just saying...
  21. ^These are the real updates I came here for...
  22. ^I was at Disneyland during their 60th anniversary season and I'm pretty sure they opened a 400ft RMC T-rex themed to Frozen.. it has since been removed because it was for the anniversary season only. In all seriousness enthusiasts for the last two decades have tied anniversaries to their rumors and wet dreams and I can't recall of a single instance that a park celebrated a major milestone anniversary with a major new coaster. Yet the cycle renews every year.
  23. For $20 via paypal I'm sure I can make you a certificate or something.. For an extra $10 I'll throw in a Masters of Amusement Anniversary Planning add on certificate.
  24. I wonder how much of the.. lack of "theming" could be blamed on last minute cost cutting due to COVID-19. KI usually doesn't go for the concrete jungle aesthetic that CP has. Last minute decisions to cute the cost of landscaping or anything additional. Sure many things were already planned for and probably quoted, but maybe they decided to take a much more conservative approach once things started looking doubtful for a scheduled opening day. Saving a few thousand to hundred thousand dollars on unnecessary plants and signage could help long term for the company.
  25. ^What I saw wasn't on FB but a dedicated park fan site. My re-opening dart is being thrown at July 4th weekend as the parks re-opening date with no CPS this season at all. With it being pushed back so much I am also expecting a Halloweekends Friday type ride line up for most of what is left of the season. I know unemployment is up but CP relies so heavily on internationals that staffing will probably be a bigger nightmare that usual. Honestly I am not planning on attending at all this summer due to restrictions and entitled Karens. Mostly the Karen's tho. The restrictions won't bother me, but willful ignorance and entitlement do.
