What's a blitz coaster?!? That's what RCDB refers to these as. I rarely see the term used though. lol How is iSpeed not on that list? That's because he only selected the cusotm Intamin Blitz Coasters. Here is the list of the two iSpeed models. So, there's a total of 6 Intamin Blitz coasters to date. -

My brother wears his glasses on most flat rides except for Psyclone, SledgeHammer, Drop Tower, Skyhawk, Riptide, Shockwave, and Slingshot. But, all the other flat rides my brother wear his glasses on and has never been asked to remove them. As for which roller coasters my brother has worn his glasses on are Thunder Run, The Fly, Ghoster Coaster, Silver Streak, and even Vortex a few times. All the other coasters you cannot wear glasses unless they are strapped to your head. Hopefully this helps answer your question! that's great thanks. I couldn't find anything about straps - the FAQs mention nothing about it. About to head over there now - Skyhawk s a bit disappointing in that it seems to last only half a minute.., Cheers Sam No problem! I'm glad I could help! Yes, Skyhawk's ride cycle is very short mostly because the ride capacity is very small at 24 passengers per ride cycle. It's too bad they couldn't have increased the ride capacity. But, one thing I will say that is outstanding about Skyhawk is the quick loading and dispatch times! I like it how the park has implemented three loading gates and a few ride attendants to help quickly load and check all the seats on Skyhawk! -

Yes, Superman: Tower of Power at Six Flags St. Louis was relocated from Six Flags AstroWorld after the park closed in 2005. It seems to be the only Intamin Drop Tower that I'm aware of that has been relocated. It'll be neat to see what happens to either the S&S power tower or the Intamin drop tower. -

What's a blitz coaster? A Blitz coaster is manufactured by Intamin. They are usually a somewhat compact coaster that have an LSM launch to propel the train. Here's a list of Intamin Blitz coasters here. -

Okay, let's get back on topic here! This is a Kings Island Discussion Thread for goodness sake! Has any one driven on the Michigan stretch of I-75 lately? The last time I had was two years ago when on my way to Kings Island and it was rough! But, luckily my car survived it then, both ways. I was just wondering if it improved any because I plan on visiting Kings Island again in a couple of weeks. -

He's only referring to the ground that has been dug up for the past year that is nearby Mighty Canadian Minebuster's first drop. I believe it's only going to be for another Splashworks addition. Possibly a drop slide complex like the other Cedar Fair water parks have been receiving over the past few years. -

There was quite a bit of work evident prior to Leviathan being announced back in 2011. I remember there being many fences set up around that area. I also remember people questioning if 2011 was going to be Dragon Fire's final season. Luckily it wasn't as it's still a fun Arrow coaster! -

I did not feel dizzy or sick at all mostly because I don't get sick too easily. The park isn't usually busy this time of the year with only school students visiting who perform in the concerts held at Kingswood Event tent, which is located right beside Kingswood Music Theatre. I didn't see any construction work occurring anywhere within the park yesterday. The land still looked the same around Mighty Canadian Minebuster as it had during my visit nearly two weeks ago. -

I just visited Canada's Wonderland for my fourth time of the season, today. I was able to get onto Skyhawk for my eighth and ninth time. During my first ride on Skyhawk in the morning, I was able to complete one flip. But, when I rode later, I was able to flip upside down 8 times in a row. It was a really weird and surreal feeling while flipping around on Skyhawk continuously! Regardless how of surreal it felt, I greatly enjoyed it and continue flipping on it some more next time I visit! Skyhawk is definitely a ride that takes practice to flip for most but, once you develop the technique, it's a really fun ride to experience! It took me eight rides to flip once and nine rides to flip eight times during one ride duration! Below is a photo of my (not so impressive) personal accomplishment! Unfortunately the on-ride cameras weren't working then! -
Actually, Medusa at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has two counter-clockwise corkscrews, as does Bizarro/Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure. And, while we're on the subject of SFDK: V2 is the first and only Intamin shuttle coaster with an angled heartline roll (even if it was made that way to fix a rather sizable mistake). But, Dragon Fire was the first to feature two counter-clockwise corkscrews when it opened in 1981. Right you are, sir. But, it's not the only one to have counter-clockwise corkscrews. I actually never realized that most corkscrews seem to travel clockwise until you mentioned it. You are right about that as well. I had forgotten about the ones you had mentioned. The reason as to why Dragon Fire has counter-clockwise corkscrews was to be able to accommodate both the first aid building and Dragon Fire.

Dragon Fire was the first coaster in the world to feature two counter-clockwise corkscrews when it opened in 1981. Drachene Fire at Busch Gardens Willaiamsburg opened in 1992 and because the second coaster in the world to feature two counter-clockwise corkscrews. But, since it closed in 1998 and was demolished a few years later, Dragon Fire remains the first and only coaster to feature two counter-clockwise corkscrews.

I had gone to Kings Island for the first time during July 2014 and the lines weren't long mostly due to the fact that there was a heat wave at the time. We were able to ride and even re-ride all the rides we wanted to without purchasing Fast lane. It was a great two-day visit and I look forward to visiting again this June or July. Hopefully the weather conditions are similar or the same again! -

I didn't know what Ziz was or meant when I first heard it a couple of years ago as being the next rumoured coaster to open at Canada's Wonderland. I don't like the name Ziz either as it's way to short and wouldn't be a good name for a coaster. -

Possibly, but they may have been planning to anyways. Also, I just have a regular season pass and can get the season pass bring a friend tickets. I would like to get a platinum pass when I plan on travelling a bit more. -

You're referring to Season Pass Holder Bring a Friend tickets. From what I've heard, they will become available but only on select days unlike the past couple of years where you could purchase them any day. I'm hoping this ticket is available again this year for any day from May through Labour Day as that is how most of my friends were able to go with me. EDIT: They just became available today. Click here to see all ticket options the park has to offer. It appears though that they'll be available for $29.99 (plus tax) each. -
Nope, it's an intamin. Built by B and M (the people) for Intamin, while working for Giovanola. I think. Well, Giovanola was just a subcontractor. This coaster was manufactured before B&M existed as it became a company when Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard decided to leave Giovanola in 1987 and create B&M the following year. They then built their first coaster in 1990 which was Iron Wolf at ix flags Great America (now Apocalypse at Six Flags America since 2012). But, the coaster is labeled as being manufactured by Intamin, primarily because of the awkward/different restraint design used on the trains. But, yes, it was manufactured by the same people who had previously worked for Giovanola.

That's exactly what I thought it meant when I read that. Maybe they'll replace it with a new small log flume as it appears to be a family favourite at Kings Island. It originally began it's life at Coney Island in 1968 and was manufactured by Arrow Development.
