Photo TR: Cookiex goes (back) to Lisberg

At my home park, Canada's Wonderland, they just opened the first Gerstlauer Sky Roller in North America. In order to flip the seat, you need to alternate the direction of your paddles slowly and lean into the direction every time you have a paddle that is pointing downwards. Once you have flipped, you should then "lock" your paddles so that way you can continuously flip the seat throughout the duration of the ride. I have also found it quite difficult to flip the seat in order to do barrel rolls as whenever I've been Skyhawk at Canada's Wonderland, it's always been windy. I've been so close to flipping every time but, the wind pushes me the other way! Maybe I'll get to flip next time I visit the park! Nice photos of Lisberg, Cookiex! -

nope. wrong. I don't think your point is valid. Maybe if you elaborate on it a bit more I could understand your reasoning a little better? I have been riding minebuster for 30 years, and have some really fond memories of it. I rode it a few times last year and found that the front car was the only one i could sit in. The out and back is fun with a bit of rattling around that gives it the 'vintage feel'. The biggest problem is the Helix. When running better it was awesome coming flying through a tunnelled downward spiral before flying up into the final brakerun. Today the helix is so bashed up your cars spend their time bashing left and right. if you sit in a car further back, the car in front pulls you back and forth and you bash the sides and then the one behind pulls you a different way and you just wind up smashing around. Lateral city. This also takes away from the speed as it it spends all it's energy bashing you around. so when you say " I don't find it rough at all." my only answer can be: nope. wrong. On a positive note, the Wildebeast is much better with the repairs they have done this year and last. It had gotten brutally unrideable and needed work. The first drop that turns as you go down is a lot of fun after repairs, and this years repairs are great as well. You go much faster through the course when you are not rattling around. It reminds me why i really liked it in the first place, and at the rate they are going, in 3-5 years it will be awesome. It's all a matter of opinion so, no one's opinion is "wrong". I sit near the center of the train when riding Mighty Canadian Minebuster so, it may not be too bad of a ride experience. I just don't have a problem with a helix and that's my opinion. Maybe we'll see Mighty Canadian Minebuster get re-tracked like Wild Beast has been over the past couple of off-seasons. -

Here are some photos I had taken of Canada's Wonderland's new for 2015 ride, Slingshot. I do have some photos of Typhoon and Splash Station which were also new to Splashworks last year but, I decided not to post them. Also, here are a few photos of Canada's Wonderland's 2016 additions which are Skyhawk and Flying Eagles! I hope my photos add to this amazing index! Here is a photo of Slingshot in action on May 6th, 2016. It was new to the park for the 2015 season. Here is a photo of my twin brother and I (I am on the right) just about to launch skyward during our second ride on Slingshot. This photo was taken on September 1st, 2015. Here is another photo of my twin brother and I on Slingshot being launched Skyward! This was also during our second ride on it last season. Now, here are some photos of Canada's Wonderland's 2016 additions which include Skyhawk and Flying Eagles. Here is a view of Skyhawk on Season Pass Sneak Preview Night while we were waiting to load! Here is a distant view of Skyhawk operating. It's quite the sight to see the first Gerstlauer Sky Roller operating in North America! Photo taken on May 6th, 2016. Here's a close-up view of Skyhawk in operation on May 6th, 2016. Here is a photo of myself on Flying Eagles. It is located within Kidzville. It's also a very fun new addition to the park! Well, it was to me at the time, six years ago. But, all three of those coasters fit under the traumatizing category. I will have to admit that I have had some decent rides on Flight Deck in the past especially during the 2014 season near the back of the train as for some strange reason I did hardly any head banging. I also find Time Warp not to be all that bad as I've learned how to survive it's banked turns. The best part of Time Warp would have to be the barrel rolls as they’re the least painful part of the ride! -

My friend and I just went last weekend. MINEBUSTER NEEDS TO BE RMCd There is about 1 noticeable airtime hill right after the drop, other than that the ride is uneventful. Wild beast is better than it in every way. an RMC could also interact with the water park like minebuster does as well. Imagine a RMC zero g stall going over one of the other water slides, that would be awesome. I was at Canada's Wonderland on Friday and found Mighty Canadian Minebuster to be quite enjoyable as usual. I don't fully believe we're going to see Mighty Canadian Minebuster RMC'd anytime soon. We're more than likely going to see it just get re-tracked with new lumber. I think all the work that is going near Mighty Canadian Minebuster's first drop is for a new Splashworks addition next year. It could possibly be for a drop slide complex like the other water parks in the chain have been receiving over the past few years. Have you ridden the new Wild Beast with the new retrack for that portion of the track? I swear that makes it run past that point so much faster, I felt like I was getting LOTS of lateral Gs on that turn right after it and the airtime hills after that was MUCH more potent No, not yet. I haven't been on Wild Beast since my first and only traumatizing ride on it back in 2010. But, I do enjoy the other wooden coasters in the park. During last year's off-season, the park re-tracked the first drop and during this off season they re-track even more. If more people claim it to be more enjoyable now than it was six years ago, then I may try Wild Beast again. But, that fan curve over the station looks quite painful. Hopefully they'll re-track it during the next off-season. But, I am more of a fan of out-and-back coasters as there's very little side-to-side movement. I think that minebuster is a bit smoother just cause its going straight, but the part where it does that massive helix at the end is worse than any part on wild beast. I prefer wild beast much more to minebuster but yes its a bit more bumpy for the overall ride. I quite enjoy the final helix on Mighty Canadian Minebuster. I don't find it rough at all. But, we all tolerate various levels of roughness differently. -

I'm not too sure as to why they removed SkyRider at the end of the 2014 season. But, it sure was a fun and exciting stand-up coaster! I still miss it to this day but I'm glad to see that it is operating nicely at Cavallino Matto Park in Italy as Freestyle since last June! Currently, all that has been done with SkyRider's land this year is the park has added some in-ground speakers so that section of the park isn't too quiet. This time last year, I had filmed a video of some work being done to the land but all they did in the end was plant grass seed. I don't see a new coaster going in where SkyRider was for a few more years at the least. -

I disagree that it's good enough. Yes, the Typhoon and Splash Station additions were great last year, but Splashworks isn't complete yet. I believe it's going to be a Splashworks addition because Wild Water Kingdom in Brampton is going to be closed yet again for another year which causes many people to flock to Splashworks as it's the only water park in the area at the moment. -

On the bright side you can get a new one! I'm going to College once a week during the summer.

No, I'm giving her a box of Lindor chocolates. Do you enjoy standing near high edges without a railing?

Yesterday while I was at Canada's Wonderland in line for Skyhawk, I heard many people say that Skyhawk replaced SledgeHammer. But if they only looked to their left, they would have seen SledgeHammer operating! Some people need to use their eyes more! -

Sunny and partly cloudy with a little bit of rain, with a high of 15 degrees Celsius today. Tomorrow it's going to be a high of 21 degrees Celsius and completely sunny! It's going to be a great day to go to Canada's Wonderland for the second time this year! -
No, mine is all in English. Does your computer mouse glow different colours?
