This is absolutely correct. At the same time, not every piece of advice will work for everyone. It's up to you to find your own sweet spot that works. In my case, that's walking for an hour per day, cutting out sugary drinks and daily alcohol intake, and portion control. For some people, it's the paleo diet. For others, it's going to the gym. Do research, try different things, and when you find the one that's tailored for you, stick with it. Good luck!

What is your next park?

Dorney next Friday, then Kennywood, KI, and CP immediately afterwards. May do an emergency Luna Park trip if weather holds up this weekend, too. -

Awesome report! This is definitely making me miss the park something fierce. Need to try and figure out how to work a trip down that way into my already packed summer schedule... -
Nice trip report and pictures! My family and I were there as well that day, so we may have crossed paths at some point. One quick thing; it seems like all of your photos have a blueish tint to them. Did you take them all with an iPhone? If so, you might want to doublecheck and make sure that your camera doesn't have an automatic filter turned on by accident. If you open up the camera, then check down in the lower right hand corner; if the three overlapping dots are black and white, you're good. If they're in color, then you have a filter turned on. I found this out myself a while back when I went to Hersheypark and took a ton of photos, only to find out that they all had that tint to them, and I quickly learned that even if you hit that by accident, it doesn't reset itself unless you manually turn it off.

Somehow I completely missed that you posted this in its own thread, I kept checking the SFOG thread looking for it. D'oh! Better late than never though. Glad you had an awesome time, I'm definitely hoping to swing down that way at some point soon (with any luck, maybe later this year)! Thanks for the extremely detailed write up and tons of photos from both of you! -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Road Runner Railway @ SFGAdv. On a related note, I have considerable back pain this morning. -
Did another low-key visit with the family yesterday, and as such, it was focused more so on making sure the kids had lots of fun as opposed to going on the huge thrill rides I've already been on eight million times. Our little one-year-old daughter is walking around now, and so we discovered that most of the kiddie rides will actually allow her on, so she got a lot of first-time experiences yesterday, and our son was more than happy to share the fun with her! We arrived a little before 11, and the line to get in was already ridiculous; we didn't end up actually getting into the park closer to 11:30. Attractions count (M=Mother, F=Father, S=Son, D=Daughter): SkyScreamer 1x FS Air Jumbo 1x FS Blackbeard Quinn's Lost Crazy Train 1x FS Seafari Theater [exhibits & show] 1x MFSD Tango 1x MFSD Runaway Mine Train 1x FS Foghorn Leghorn's Stagecoach Express 1x SD Enchanted Teacups 1x MS, 1x FS Lunch break -- we hit up the Food Truck festival, and cut through the Old Country pathway which was opened up for easy access. We ended up doing a bunch of different varieties from the Mac & Cheese truck, primarily because a) it was something we could all agree on and b) there was no line. While there were a bunch of tables all throughout the Showcase Theater area for people to sit at, they had also opened up the catering pavilion area -- and practically no one seemed to notice. So we got to sit amongst the trees pretty much undisturbed for a nice, relaxing lunch! Fender Benders 1x FS Skull Mountain 1x FS Air Safari 1x MFSD Bugaboo 1x SD Raja's Rickshaws 1x SD Jumpin' Joey 1x S Sky Zooma 1x FSD Road Runner Railway 1x FS Taz's Tornado 1x FS Finished off the night sitting down for dinner at Granny's thanks to the meal plan. The wife and son split some chicken strips & fries, I had a caesar salad, and the little girl had a yogurt cup. Overall, it was a pretty good day, with only a couple of hiccups; the operations on Fender Benders were really lagging yesterday, as it seemed as they were only turning over every 8-10 minutes. Not sure what was going on but what should have been about a 15 minute wait ended up being about 50. Skull Mountain also experienced some disruption in service, leading to about 20 minutes of downtime right as my son and I were about to ride. While most everyone else ended up exiting and leaving, the ride ops were nice enough to let us wait at the Flash Pass entrance and get back in our seats once it was up and running again. Lastly, the little girl? She absolutely loved EVERYTHING! She was laughing and applauding for all of the different rides, and she especially enjoyed her rides on Tango and Sky Zooma. I've got another little thrillseeker on my hands, it looks like!

25 minutes on a good day from Queens (in the vicinity of JFK Airport) to Coney Island. It's a straight shot down the Belt Parkway, but unfortunately that's one of the worst highways to drive on because it's literally ALWAYS under construction. So that 25 minutes can balloon into an hour or more sometimes. -
"Entrance to the event is located in the Movietown section of the park." There you go. Look for it there. I'll probably be there with the family on Sunday for this. I've been eating right for a long time now without many cheat days to show for it, so dammit, I'm going to eat like a pig for this thing. Waffles... come to me.

I feel like I need to wait until I see the actual real-life POV before I can make a judgment. As it stands, I'm less than impressed with it, but that could just be due to the rendering. I felt the same about Storm Chaser when I first saw the rendered version, but have drastically revised my opinion after watching the real thing, so I look forward to seeing that sometime next year.

Still get a wristband with the Platinum pass. It's for letting you re-ride immediately if you wish. We never used that feature when we there back during Spring Break. I sorta felt bad enough jumping the queue as it was!! haha You shouldn't feel bad about it; if you paid the hefty fee to purchase platinum, you should absolutely take advantage of it whenever possible. One thing I didn't know about the reride wristband, and something that wasn't explained to me at the point of purchase, is that if you use the flash pass and select either the front row or back row on any given coaster, you're NOT allowed to reride. This was also extremely loosely enforced, and wasn't even mentioned to me until about 6:30 PM on the day that I was there, after my fifth ride on Goliath. Go figure. So just be aware of that possible hiccup if you do purchase it.
