  1. I wish they'd picked a more marketable name. It should have been telling when they didn't bother trademarking it (as of yet). I'm just thinking of the other coasters themed to evil vibes/plants/forests and they have much better names. (Verboten, Thi13teen, etc) The ride itself looks great - but that name is a bust. Even calling it CREEPER would have been better
  2. I'd imagine that Gemini and the Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point could possibly use some parts from Excalibur's train as they are both Arrow Mine Train concepts. I believe Carowinds and King's Island also have arrow mine trains in Carolina Goldrusher and Adventure Express. I see that Cedar Point's announcement is happening Monday at 10am now. Maybe Valleyfair decided it didn't want to overshadow Cedar Point's announcement, so they moved it!! From what I'm hearing it's not a full on announcement.
  3. So did you miss or purposely skip over the addition to Tivoli?
  4. I heard they're expanding the Midwest to include West Virginia, actually! That's old news. They added WV to the Big12 a long time ago. (Skipped right over Ohio and Indiana)
  5. Well in their defense the name does sound like a kids ride
  6. Have you made it to the Midwest yet or are you still in Ohio?
  7. Nah, the two are way different. Speed of the main boom's rotation is the biggest thing.
  8. You never do an announcement on a Monday (PR 101) as it would get buried under the runoff from the weekend. The best days to do announcements are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Fridays are another "avoid day" as it gets buried in the "WEEKEND CRAZY" announcements. What about Tuesday? Well sometimes it is a continuation of Monday and the Weekend Runoff. (Depending on how big the stories from the weekend are)
  9. Another question - where is the transfer track to remove a train? Maybe the maintenance bay is under the station?
  10. There are other things going on at the park next year that will be costing a lot of money, so I would guess the two rides are the extent of the new rides. We'll see if that front gate and new facade/upgrades to Tivoli finally come to fruition. They've only been planned and then put on the back burner for at least 3 years now I've heard the new front gate is happening. I guess the real question then is - will Fjord Fjairlane be moved elsewhere or retired (I'd be all for it being moved to Europa). They will also need to add some additional catered meal areas because it will take out Tivoli East and Central.
  11. Looks like a solid ride. I agree with a few others though, when thinking on what KI is lacking, "woodie" doesn't really scream as a dire need.

  13. I was thinking the two Huss rides and this slide complex. Surely the flats were on this year's budget so that opens up money for next year's. Also, you cannot deny OOF needs more capacity than it currently has.
  14. Has it been retracked recently? Last time I rode it was the year Leviathan was new and we stopped here on the way back. Both ST and WW were pretty rough. Not like Wilde Beast and Mindbuster rough but still rougher than we remembered them being last time we stopped in
  15. Do you think something like Beech Bend's new slide complex would be a good fit for Soak City. Maybe it could go where LSS and the sand volleyball area is?
  16. This slide complex just opened at Beech Bend. I would love for an exact clone to come to Oceans of Fun. It could replace Diamond Head or Aruba Tuba and I wouldn't mind one bit.
  17. That's ok. They can use it as giant Christmas tree of lights for HITP. Get a head start stringing the lights
  18. Teaser campaign for 2017 has started https://www.carowinds.com/blog-article/online-fun/Carowinds-Teaser-Campaign-2017
  19. I find it odd that they are putting two mega haunts right on top of each other. I do agree that the new maze could be called something different especially if they make that whole area London Terror. With that being said, that really makes Blood on the Bayou's theme seem oddly placed.
  20. You could always add WOF on the 6th - do you have a CF pass since you are going to CP? St. Louis: the City Museum, the Zoo, Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour
  21. I guess I don't follow what "has never been done" with regards to London Terror. If the map you posted is accurate there is a definite one way in - one way out to it. This is pretty much the tried and true formula of all of the mazes at WOF. The "wagon and crypt scene" will probably be lifted from the previous version.
  22. That's interesting. Of all the Haunts, London Terror was (in my opinion) the least in need of an upgrade. I agree that CarnEVIL needed help and hopefully this is a step in correct direction. So does this mean that Forum Avenue will no longer be used for a HAUNT? Seems like a wasted opportunity as it has been utilized most of the existence of HAUNT. With the now (semi-confirmed) use of the buildings in BiCentennial Square, it really makes me question how the park will go forward with that area. I personally was hoping they would revitalize the area with the new-used Huss rides and possibly a new dark ride.
  23. The Runaway is getting closer to opening. They were cycling carts today.
  24. There's two in Pigeon Forge as well. One at the Island and another near MagiQuest
