  1. A) That was for Topper Track, which Cyclone DID get as is still there today. It made a huge difference. B) The Boss will not be RMC. The officals have told us for many years that the Boss is too long and sits on too rugged terrian to ever be Iron Horsed. I say this very sternly. Take a look at our thread if you wish. Personally, i have asked the Director of Rides and was given the exact same respone. Dont get me wrong - I'm sure both parks would love to.
  2. 1.Random kiddie coaster @ SFStL that's not even worth naming. 2. Celebration City Branson entire collection 3. Colossus @ SFMM 4. Roller Soaker @ HP 5. Wildcat and Disaster Transport @ CP 6. Gwazi 7. Shockwave
  3. Millennium Force has the longest seeming drop that is unmatched. El Toro's drop is great in the front or the back - I mostly just like how it transitions from a downward sloping pre-drop turn into the 71* drop. That's kind of funky in my book.
  4. Since it would take a while to edit the photos, I wan't to get a consensus from the thread: Would anyone care if I posted a TR from way back in July? I have some nice shots.
  5. Regardless, that whole Ninja to Tsunami Soaker area needs to pick a theme!
  6. I wish that they would go with a little bigger trains. 6'1 with long legs wasn't very comfy in the Premier trains these look like.
  7. "Hold my beer!" Honestly not too surprised by this. You knew aomebody would do it. We all know that it is a simple matter of physics and fear to make a circular waterslide loop. This video was on "Outrageous Acts of Science" for those of you who watch it.
  8. ^Honestly, it seems that the small parks only saw their largest investments in getting the "basics" that would commonly be seen at major parks (with the exception of the absence of a Morgan hyper at MiA). Since that is completed, they havent seen any significant investment since - and won't, on this trend. Valleyfair being your homepark isn't a very good reasoning of why it's " supposedly " on the next coaster list. CW is the only debatable one though. I'm absoultely certain that was a knock on KD fans. Joke => your head ==> joke goes over
  9. I strongly think VR is very unimpressive. Also, if you have to rely on a digital screen to have a good ride experience why even bother with building a coaster. Its just lame. Why does everything have to be digitial? Is that rely the demographic's preferance today?
  10. Oh boo-hoo. Thats cute that you're just now nearing a seven 7 coaster drought after i305. I am certain after visiting this year that you are doing just fine with your collection. KD's turn to get something big? Who's the cycle through ( because obviously its not all the parks)? Were i305, Dominator, Volcano, Soak City, or Derilium not big enough / requested enough moves to satifsy you? The big parks have taken many turns and the samll parks are still waiting on their turn. Don't like KD? Go to BGW. Don't like either? Go to SFA for all I care. Dont like any of them? Well congrats. You can live like me, with no home park (after moving here, that is).
  11. ^Possibly because Intamin's I305 sustained higher attendance for many years, even to this day? And simply also because Volcano delivered?
  12. POV of California Screamin' on YouTube. Comment in comment section: "The scariest part is when it goes 80 mph in the beginning."
  13. wot Memphis itself has over 660,000 residents, making it the 23rd largest city in the US. The metro area is 41st largest at 1.34 million. Memphis has: -No amusement park (Libertyland closed in 2005 and was replaced by a grass field. Little if no real review of finances has ever been done AFAIK) -No water park (only pools and a couple of very small slides at public aquatics facilities. closest thing to one is this: http://www.krocmemphis.org/facilities/aquatics/) -Two family entertainment centers: an Incredible Pizza Company and a place called Golf and Games. Nowhere in the country do you have this many people this under served for amusements. The best guess I have is that racism (active or latent) is the only reasonable explanation as to why. Understand, I LIVE in Memphis. It sucks. I came from St. Louis (where there is SFSTL and WoF/SDC/HW a reasonable drive away) to here. The GP is as you'd expect dumb as a rock and flat as the land. Thats why I dont even go to the fair; besides the previously mentioned reasons (see my full post), its full of stupidity. Quite commonly, its the biggest attraction here of the year, though it has no competition in that division. The only amusement parks I *occasionally* hear about are SFStL, SFOG, and HW. Sometimes they refer to the Delta Fair as an amusement park (as if of the likes of the permanent parks) Ironic: under served describes Memphis, but its completely surrounded by parks!
  14. Make no mistake, if I still lived in St. Louis, I would apply in a heartbeat. Its been my dream to work there during high school. In fact, its the main draw to want me to move back.
  15. Quite honestly, I completly avoided the Delta Fair this year. Its $20 for admission alone into the lame, cigarette tanted atmosphere. The flats are "meh" and having been to so many parks, I dont appreciate the fair. It'spretty immensly popular here, but then again Memphis is equidistant to several amusement parks, but the non are under a 5 hr drive. Lines also get very very long and confusing here. The Ring of Fire has had three hour waits before, most of the line unregulated by fencing. In terms of the fight, I actually heard about this in school today.
  16. ^Came here to say that. Although, there's no way they could go bankrupt at this rate.
  17. Yes... but... You can never really tell. Last year we all talked about how much Dave didn't want a super loop. Valid point. Dave could also be overruled if SFI wants to RMC Eagle, seeing The Boss conversion impossible.
  18. The Boss is incredibly more drawn out. The two turnarounds are not close to each other. A quick comparison on Google will tell you that. EDIT: vThere's that too.
  19. I should have stated that i was being slightly sarcastic.
  20. Lets just make a custom one. Why not add to our great collection of woodies? At least I think they all are.
  21. Six Flags Inc. 1. Not painting Medusa bright green 2. Not painting Wicked Cycle bright blue. 3. Painting Twisted Colossus light blue and green. URGH! Fml.
  22. In a couple more years, we will lose Dave. It will be the saddest day in this park's history. I'm sure somebody like Dave will know how to pick a good replacement.
  23. Honestly, i just want to ride it regurally. The VR is a gimick.
  24. Its a Six Flags kind of thing... You wouldn't understand... In fact, nobody does. What the hell are they smoking?
  25. I'd go for a brand new huper along the lines of Nitro. Or a twistier one works too, but whatever. Eagle is a peice history, and I've found ot to be my favorite classic coaster. Its in great shape, honestly. Twisted Colossus kills every bit of nostalgic from the Original Collosus. IMO, it was a horrendous cut of the original - and defiantly untraditional. And steampunk? I didnt say it wasn'ta great ride. I said it's not a classic.
