  1. 1) I looked for him last weekend, but never saw him. He wasn't at Daredevil Daze either in 2014. I will never meet the great Dave... 2) SH!T
  2. Just wanted you to know that I caught that caption. lol. My initial statement still stands though, outside of fright fest and the very busiest summer days, you can usually at the very least walk into the station. It's not uncommon for my group to ride it 5-6 times in the last 30 minutes or so of our trips. I've been plenty of other times where I've experienced your initial statement is true - all day. "Not-so-walk-on" is not something I've seen since 2008 or 09.
  3. Intamin: El Toro (#1 overall) B&M: Nitro (#2 overall)
  4. I guess I'm different here. Like I've said before, I am most excited for this RMC, more than Wildfire, Lightning Rod, and The Joker. If I lived anywhere near Wildfire, it may have been possible to be more excited for it. But I really admire the simplicity of Storm Chaser: it also crosses over less than other RMC's and is more of an out-and-back. Storm Chaser may also turn out to be the cleanest looking aesthetically due to the steel-on-steel construction.
  5. Maybe you'll get ejector air on the edges?
  6. ^I loved the theming (such as the infamous crashed car) when it was there; however, I always though the mural was cheap and silly.
  7. They did this to us at SFStL. Needless to say, we now have a "Cubs Thunder" coaster for the rest of the season.
  8. We still enjoyed our visit, but sadly left at 5:30 pm. I didn't expect anyone else was there. I didn't bring my fancy camera either, but I have a some pictures left from last year's FF. There's also a couple of pictures I took yesterday via iPhone, mostly of the observations I made of changes to the park: Gotham Mural now gone. IMO, it looks better this way. Gotham Mural now gone. Roar's presence The RKMT booth may have been gone last season too, I think. And the tree. RIP. The roof is gone Packed overfill lot. Not good! Packed regular parking American, er... Cubs "Not-so-always-walk-on" Thunder
  9. I haven't been following this thread as much as I do my nearby parks, but I still knew it was known you guys would not get the trains. I did not know of any pictures confirming their resting spots.
  10. Sorry SFA. SFDK's Roar trains are under BMTR @ SFStL. For some reason this has been a cooperate wooden coaster train graveyard for some years. Taken today, credit: me
  11. Today was packed. The parking lot was crammed to lots I didn't even know exisit. Overflow lots were all the way back to the last zone. Eagle and Ninja were outside of the entrance AND all switchbacka were in use. The Joker Inc. was backed up too. My celluar did not operate after 3 PM today. Radio towers must have been VERY overloaded. As I am typing this, I am outside of the park's range, and celluar is fine. I noticed several things today. Most interesting were some new *relative term* yellow Millennium Flyers under BMTR. These certainly must be Roar's. First Mega Zeph, then Villian, and now Roar? Lol. I wonder where the Boss's trains would go if they ever got rid of it's disgraceful Gerstluaer trains?
  12. We forgot to check the opening hours today! Silly us to assume that it would open at 11. However, we are here currently (10:38 AM) waiting for entry into the parking lot. It wasn't intentional, but it sounds like we lucked out! Anybody else here waiting for parking lot entry?
  13. Citywalk may he a big part of Universal's motives. ^^ As he said, the venues at Skyplex are most likely the same as Citywalk.
  14. American Thunder runs at SFStL pretty well. It can't compare to year-round parks, but it's older than Apocalypse if that means anything! Ps: dont even think about cubs thunder
  15. The fact that the roll doesn't heartline back up above the height of the pre-drop should make for a very fast speed taken. I like!
  16. I never got the pleasure to meet him. His videos, however extensive, show a lot about his personality. He must have been a great person to be around. To be fair, I was in the park on of the days he was. However, if I'd passed by him I would not have noticed at the time. It would be really cool nod to see the park do a simple commerence to him, or a small display. I know he visited a lot and like ^^^^ said, "he knew almost every employee in the park".
  17. The Intamin Wing Rider is certainly on the website still... Go look for yourselves.
  18. ^Still faster than one train ops! SFStL is a small Six Flags. Crowds are not that of major parks, and operations aren't thereof. So you waited for a ride? Ok. There's not that many rides or guests. I can't say anything about customer service. SFStL is my lifelong homepark so I've aleats been pretty comfortable there and enjoyed myself and workers never bothered me.
  19. Hmm. My *only* visit to SFGAd was during Fright Fest last year. Weather was absoluetly perfect (I stress, perfect), yet I got in every coaster (minus Superman), six rides on El Toro, desirable flats, and spent 3-4 hours only walking the park for photos. This was between a Friday night and a Saturday. Prehaps crowds calm down by late FF?
  20. The assigned seating on Fury makes sense. It is to increase throughput on it, arguabley the most popular ride in the Mid-Atlantic area. I have relatives in the Midwest who've heard of it (and think its the tallest coaster in the world). Assigned seating may go away down the road, as the hype wears off.
  21. The National Anthem plays at a lot of small events and local ones too. It's not very different than any other country's military standing in salute to their flag/anthem. In America, as you figured out, civilians also do it. We take off our hats and find the nearest flag (in most amusement parks, because it's opening, this will usually be the main entrance flag. I look forward to hearing the rest of your report! Your writing skills are superb! I always chuckle at the perspective of visitors to the USA.
  22. But they dropped the train ride, so isn't it more like +2? Point still taken, though. I thought SFGAd had a scarce amount of scare actors for a park it's size. They also had "scare zones". I'm not sure if SFStL does this, but IIRC from years past like 2013-2010, they roamed the entire adult park (everywhere but Looney Tunes).
  23. Sorry I don't follow Hershey and accordingly for my ignorance, but what exactly does HP do for Halloween?
