  1. Moving on, any word on the piles of gravel? They were topped with a light dusting of snow yesterday morning. A couple of pebbles fell of the top of the pile too due to the wind.
  2. The expo was only for a matter of a few months, thus I would think the paint was not repainted. Darker colors fade less quickly and less noticeably. I had never thought of this in the process of color choices but it is one of the primary considerations. I would love just to see the platform of Fireball at most. I want to see if it has been replaced and if our ride sits into the ground where the "car" is "level" with the platform in any manner of ways (eg. trenched in, ferris wheel style, etc)
  3. While i didnt bring mine in, a monopod would be a lot better. If you are doing LE photography it'll do just fine for a while.
  4. I cannot wait for the batsh*t to be beat out of these headsets by the Ninja.
  5. "Oh no, we cut down too many trees around the New Revolution! What do we do?" *VR headsets*
  6. No, you wouldnt have for long. It was painted black after it too quickly faded to a nasty pink. Source: Director of Attractions (see profile pic). He had liked the red but it simply would have had to have been painted too often.
  7. It was built by Arrow for the '86 Expo and completed by Vekoma. There is no knowledge pf how much Vekoma pitched in. Source
  8. No, thats an elevation map of the layout. Im bot sure of the exact name.
  9. ^I can confirm the SNFE rumor, though I'm not sure about the timeframe. The way the Director of Attractions had explained it to me, the hypercoaster was more of an idea that never had too much certainty. It was a serious thought, but it was brushed off when SFOG was chosen.
  10. ^The best coaster in the world is too! #ElToroMasterRace
  11. To the post a couple pages back, the new accelerator at Port Adventura is 367.45 ft.
  12. Hmm.. it would be lovely to use tidal wave's old spot at the station for a nice B&M hyper, with a splashdown in the old pool. Too bad. I remember being told by people on this thread that Timberliners are lighter than G-trains. Guess they were wrong.
  13. Despite DC's desire to keep it hidden, I want to see the batmobile return!!! Is RSF's old queue going to need expansion for Fireball? Do you suppose they will fix the horrid landscaping between RSF and the train?
  14. I actually really like it how it is. After a ton of camelbacks, you get a small breather to enjoy the pure speed of the ride - and that hill provides brilliant ejector time for how drawn out it is regardless! And adding more camelbacks on the return would possibly mean the elimation of flying through the sturcture the length of the hill in question.
  15. ^I've been twice, once on my spring break in '09 and another time last year during The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train opening week/ Star Wars. The second trip I remember was pretty packed at MK and HS and the other two parks were hit or miss on certain days - but never overly crowded. I saw most of the line jumping at MK, particuarly in Haunted Mansion's, Splash Mountain, and Seven Dwarfs's queue. Thats to be expected during the new hotness of 7DMT and the massive "tunnel" leading to the mansion, I guess. Honestly, you could say that of all the parks I visited, SFGADv's culprits were the most ignorant line skippers, but WDW did have the the widest queues that could at been anytime, *and were*, taken advantage of.
  16. This may be slightly off the current topic, but it's incredibly fitting to the title: I have noticed a lot more line curting at WDW than other parks. It's very easy as a lot of queues are much wider. To atop them takes a phyical barrier and cooperation form the line, else they have plenty of spcas to walk past people who just don't care.
  17. I'm really surprised so many people put negativity in their faith in this ride after a silly animation. An animation of all things that was obviously rushed. Roller "every time an animation follows an announcement, people on this site always complain and are immediately put down by others who insist that it is not a accurate representation of how the ride experience will really be, which is an accurate counter. But when the animation is obviously sloppy horse crap, somehow, everyone is convinced the ride will exactly be sloppy horse crap too" Manic
  18. Enthusiasts are babies. Shockwave was just fine. This discussion is almost as bad as people who call out coaster rattling and cry that new B&M's are rough.
  19. Sort of like this: Extra structure would be added fore the new drop
