  1. Even Disney puzzles me as to how you can spend 18 mil USD on a new Meet and Greet corner.
  2. Ok. I read blue is used for marking for lumber. However, any color can honestly be used. These color standards are only recommendations; in part or in full. I was just assuming that KI followed the standards.
  3. ^Land. Theres a standard for logging, but im not sure if that would apply here. Someone more knowledgable than me would have to confirm. Although I do know that ribbons on trees are used to make boundaries/corridors. What did you see of those?
  4. Before we assume the marks represent excavation, take a look at this. https://www.apwa.net/content/library/colorcc.pdf What colors were the survey markings?
  5. I'm just wondering, do you work for the park? Me thinks sarcasm..
  6. YESS! My wet dream! Trees around Valravn!!! So much lumber!!! I never could have imagined they would replant any trees. The prospect of them growing out to the size of the ones they took out is unlikely; however, they'll make the area look much better.
  7. ^I hear it so much in other threads (those getting Super Loops) that there's no reason to complain of it's frequent appearance anymore.
  8. Does anyone even know if the trains were weighted during the POV? They are now and it still looks to be hauling a$$ (for a B&M, anyway). The slowdown at the MCBR isn't horrible at least and the first half is unaffected so far - a first half I'm expecting to be killer.
  9. I agree. I think each hill of the ride could have been a little more intense or deeper. This could just be a crappy animation like Storm Chaser's though.
  10. There have been complaints since the name change of the placement of the ride and since day one over the carnival-likeness of it. I dont understand either. The Joker fits the carnival theme very well and that particular area of the has tons of flat rides (or atleast used to ). Sure, the use of DC is spordic in the park. But, it is already so. I actually welcome the use of it anywhere to tidy up an area as long as it's not out of theme. Again, the Joker fits the area. They could have had a sign for that mustard and ketchup ride so take it as lucky that that atrocity didn't appear at the front gates. I never understood how people think this ride is ugly. I'm just going to leave this point at that. If I would have had my way, I would have fixed up the Chiller's old station and used it as the ride's footprint. I would have used one side and built the ride over the station, with the lift coming out of the old maintence bay and the final drop into the launch tunnel. The otger side could have served as the new storage track. Promply, I would have painted it red and blue with black supports and named it Batman and Robin: The Chiller. Just imagine... Maintenance bay
  11. This is really different from any other GCI I've seen. More turns are underbanked and it'll be one of the few with a straight drop. I was totally not expecting a pre-drop turn. It really does seem to fit the family coaster bill though.
  12. Did no one notice that he mentioned Silver Bullet as' "forceful as heck." When did this happen? I always thought of Silver Bullet as B&M invert light. When did they install said forces on in? I'll be riding it again next week, so I can experience these previously non-existent forces myself. I'm hoping you're right, it's been 2 years, perhaps they installed forces on it. I don't recall it going down for extended force implementation. Maybe they did it at night when no one was paying attention. I can just imagine all the daily park goers showing up one morning and freaking out about the drastic changes that Knott's did to Silver Bullet over night that suddenly made it forceful. I certainly did, but we have enough argueing about strippers right now. His post was a little crazy. Using Silver Bullet as an example was the last straw in his credibilty..
  13. Montu, Alpengiest, Pyreenes, Katun, Monster, and Raptor say hi. Raptor blew straight through the mid brake last time I checked Doesn't disqualify it as a mid-course... It's there for blocking first, braking second. Yeah, the OP's point is still invalid. Alpengeist hits that sh*t hard, and honestly has to, the way the trains rattle anymore.

  15. ^Welcome to Cedar Fair. Generic fits any theme.
  16. A blitz coaster is an LSM coaster with shorter trains than other similiar Intamin creations. This allows tighter manuevers since the back of the train is not as far from the front of the train and acceleration is not too great that it is unsafe.
  17. They're just going to tear it down and rebuild it with a different launch manufacturer.
  18. I like the siding. It's tacky in a good way. I just hope I don't outgrow it, haha.
  19. Obviously it is possible to run without the mcbr on... and thus it would have no effect on the ride other than being a little flat spot. If parks can or are willing to do that is the question. Maintence and regulations are probably to blame.
  20. And in the same cynicalness, I have a hard time believing your theory when some who clearly worked in the industry just explained else-wise. It's not hard to believe given B&M gives the park the option to in the programming.
  21. I'm not trying to be whiney. I am surely not one who would rather just not have Valraven. However, a huge of Sheikra and Griffion for me was being in a such a "loose" restraint. That is quite freaky from up there!
  22. I think the vest may detract from the holding brake element (just my speculation).
  23. I'm not sure if I believe you. I'll take it with a grain of salt until...
