  1. Sorry I didn't already post this! I meant to post it yesterday. When I heard the S&S Free Spin rumors die off after SFNE's permit was found, I was going to post these to show more free spins are possible: Ooooooohhhh i like the colors. Ooooooohhhh i like the colors. All photo credits belong to ACE members who attend the S&S Tech Facility Tour on August 6, 2016. Source I wouldn't count the rumors as entirely crazy. Lets assume each color is for a different installation - we then have 3 unkown installations awaiting announcement. It could be less, but remember this is a guaranteed maximum so far. This was confirmed by S&S to be destined for Nagasaki Spa Land.
  2. You still haven't gotten a Larson Loop. Disappointment still awaits.
  3. The lack of appreciation I find in this thread and SFGAm's is disgusting.
  4. This lines up with everything I've heard too. Looks like a THIRD Justice League has found a home. A third year installation, but the fitfh one. I know where you were coming from. No worries.
  5. I chose the red dragon one. Im a big fan of the dragon logos. I chose red over blue because of Griffon's proximity.
  6. Batman and Robin (blue and red) or Two Face (many possibilities) would be my favorite choices. I'm hoping that if it goes in the studios section that it'll be colorful.
  7. I mean, I got a 1:40 AM ride on El Toro during Fright Fest 2014. At least SFGAd's "we dgaf" is great...
  8. What? If you're responding to me, both of my examples were Mack.
  9. My concern is if this will be the new mack Spiners (ala Cobra's Curse) or the old style with trains (ala Sierra Sidewinder). I really like how #1's concept has the crazy-scientist story like Wildfire.
  10. WOW. That being an empty train and having heard reports of it breaking in makes me confident to say Storm Chaser looks to be reliably well-paced now. I can't see this being a hit-or-miss ride anymore. The thing seperating RMC from the rest is that (so far) they have chosen to incorperate wacky elements on a full sized coaster. I agree with the above arguement but at the same time think it'll take much longer to wear off. On any other coaster, their sort of flow would be dissed. A roll that rotates opposite directions when entering and exiting? A stall (for comparative reasons lets call this a zero-g roll) that intoduces hangtime OR inverted floater time depending on the specific cycle's variables)? Wave turns? HUGE wave turns? Outward banked hills midcourse (Wildfire, Medusa)? Outward banked curves at any point? Joker's first element? Barrel rolls midcourse? Weird "half-loops"? (not an airtime example but forces are still at play here; see: Lightning Rod) All these little niche's paramters can be set endless ways. Variables also can change during the day and make for an unpredictable ride. Sure. Its possible they will eventually not be able to out do themselves. But im not going to be bored yet for a while.
  11. HWFan, when did they add a single rider line for JLBfM? That's great news.
  12. Im gonna quote myself . . . Yes, El Toro is what you described, however, it has height variation as do the GCI coasters like roar. I'm not saying they couldn't iron horse hurler. I'm saying, in my opinion, it would be pointless to do that when a better layout could come from a brand new coaster. It's only so high then can extend the lift and I feel to make it feel different. A major overhaul of the layout would probably need to be done, in my opinion. The GCI retracking Carowinds did created a very smooth front seat experience for hurler. Unfortunately the trim at the bottom of the first drop killed the entire ride to the point of little to no airtime on any hill. I understood what you meant. But the principle of a conversion was not what I was referring to. I was referring to the basic layout of the ride as is - just how you described it. That being said, I found it naive to judge a coaster like so. I guess where we differ is I don't find Hurler's layout "pointless" simply because of the geometry of it. understand where you're coming from. It would be difficult to RMC it because it lacks structure. In the case of a conversion, I too would see it pointless. But as is, it doesn't have to be thought of as an uninspired ride in its current state.
  13. ^Nah, the trend here is to blame Pete. Thanks Pete!
  14. Maybe it's just me, but does Tidal seem to be one of the more decent looking flumes out there?
  15. I mean, El Toro is just two long-ass lines of hills ending with a tiny little twister section, right? But GCI have a lot of twitiez, and so they're the most exciting wooden coasters, right?
  16. Sharknado 3 features a huge part of USH/IOA.
  17. ^No, it really didn't, but if anyone said it did, then we could probably agree it did so unspectacularly.
  18. Wow, after all these years of silly ambitions, it finally has come true. The stars must be aligned! The greatest RMC prophecy has been met! Except, it hasn't been confirmed yet what they are doing with it, so guess I should hold my statement. I'm personally hoping more for a GCI than an RMC. Blue Streak is amazing but it can't fill the void of a modern wooden coaster that would be without Mean Streak.
  19. Does anyone else think Mystic Timbers is very reminiscent of Verbolten? I do hope it gives fantastic night rides.
