  1. I think Ziz, Kings Dominion, and Canada's Wonderland need a word filter. It's outrageous. Anyway, I would really love to see Dorney get a GCI, possibly something that uses some of the lake where Hercules was and back to behind the behind the rapids. Or a GCI twister in the immediate back plot behind the rapids. SFStL could still use a hyper... an RMC isn't coming at this point.
  2. That's just it though, they don't care. They made that painfully obvious with the generalized design of Boomerang and Sky Screamer and removal of the only themed elements like the Water Street Cab building and now the nail is in the coffin with RSF going out and being replaced with a generic ride. SFSTL is a nice park, but I think to some degree they're done with themeing and just need to admit it to the rest of us. Until JLBFM, they didn't make a theme-conscious capital investment since Xcalibur. Personally I believe that SFSTL is going to do away with themes and just go to a generic park, because it's totally what they're doing. I love themeing, but it's just become so watered down that it doesn't hold any value at this park anymore. Management is doing a great job keeping the park clean, safe, and functional, but they need to take a good chunk of cash and time to refurbish themeing throughout the park. I'm not asking them to be as good as Disney, just to restore and preserve the charm that the park had when I was younger. Its not that I haven't noticed it going down the drian lately. Boomerang's colors are nice, but it's hideously generic (actually, the colors too are starting to wear off on me. I'm not liking the brightness of it.) Just renaming Fireball may atleast help to keep the Chicago feel (still supported by Superman and partly Eagle).
  3. 1999 Bizarro / Medusa @ SFGADv Joker's Jinx @ SFA Powderkeg @ SDC Honorable mentions to Dragon Challenge and Afterburner / Top Gun
  4. I have not been on TN Tornado yet as it was closed during my visit, but I can say this: LNM may already get the edge between the two for the batballs crazy drop.
  5. I dont see why there's so much arguing in this thread. Its simple. If you have a legit disability, your doctor will hive you a note. DONE. This doesn't discrimate or weed out any truely handicapped person (of whom you should be if using the ADA line).
  6. HWFan, do you have a lot of pictures with Dave? You could create a college as the background of the pin box. I am really excited for Fireball. Its another step in repairing this park and making it cleaner looking. RSF is a great ride that my family has always enjoyed, but it's showing its wear lately. It'll be exciting seeing a fresh ride on the prime spot where RSF once stood. If SFStL really cares about the theming of the Chicago section, they could name Fireball "Rush Street Fireball" or "Water Street Fireball (?)" - something to the extent of that.
  7. ^Its just a filler. More appropriate from thus is "NTaG" (which is sometimes seem).
  8. I305. Europe in the Air sucked.
  9. Odd. My least favorite of the new ones, below Lightning Rod, Wildfire, and Storm Chaser.
  10. a) kicka$$ airtime winging over that non-inverting loop. Edge seats are going to be thrown! b) Mother. of. God. first drop pullout.
  11. Does that mean since the inclined brake run is continuosly moving, that it does not act as a block and only the transfer will be counted as so? Or will traditional brakes be alongside the magnetic ones after the intial slowdown area?
  12. I wouldn't think so. If memory serves correctly, i haven't seen very many breakruns with (large) trees under them. This is probably for access reasons.
  13. Exactly why I'm excited for this. Less stalls, more camelbacks!
  14. I go only once or twice a year to SFStL. When I lived there, we would go a dozen times a year.
  15. Do they still do that stupid at Six Flags parks? To me it seems like something that could possible work against it's intention, as it would be extremely easy for the operators to focus more on the actual movement than actually looking... Reminds me of this, every time:
  16. I want to give Pete trust (not that we can already judge). He does bring in a new market and perspective, but how cooperate will respond still matters. A hyper just won't happen (but if one can dream, S:ROS fits perfectly in that storage in the far east / HH expansion area. The overbank could even go over the HH expansion!) The thing with Pete is that he is the Dir. of Ops. from the park with horrible operations. BUT! I am not going to throw him under the bus. There's so many variables that come from lower levels and the demographics of the operators themselves that none of us know what combination(s) or factor(s) created those reputably bad ops. SFNE is also a much bigger park.
  17. TN Tornado was down when I went (as they were replacing the brakes). I would like to reride Magnum now that I'm a more seasoned enthusiast than I was in '09.
  18. How was Intamin then involved in Aska (according to RCDB)?
  19. ^^ & ^^^ I am not entirely familiar with the selection process of new rides in the Managment positions. This is just off context: I don't think the Dir. of Ops had much to do with the proposals themselves. Next time I met up with the Directors, I'll prompt this question. To be fair, he would defiantly know the appropriate attendance/popularity/reputation figures of said investment though. Doesn't mean he could persuede cooperate just because of SFStL's lesser demographic in the chain. At this point, I DO NOT want an transformed RMC. I fear for Eagle. Random thought: Could they lower the height of the Boss's MCBR slightly and turn it into a short LSM booster? LSM technology has gotten much cheaper and reliable since Mr. Freeze. *cough* own power grid *cough*
  20. Ninja or X2. Honorable mentions to LNM.
  21. ^Thank you. I was about to ask. I'll most likely introduce myself to him. I also will be rounding up a bunch of praise / acclaimation from TPR iver the years for him to show him our respects. Since I never met him, at least I can show him the great perspective we've been given of him.
  22. What makes this bad is that SFNE has horrible ops. Way to go coorperate.
  23. So, your current Director of Operations will be replacing Dave Roemer, SFStL park president in 2016. The end times are apon us!
