Most Overrated coaster?
JordyC replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Colossos @ Heide Park It has very good airtime, but that's pretty much it. And I didn't even mention the backbreaking helix. Hopefully, it'll be better next season after the modifications. -

Worlds of Fun (WOF) Discussion Thread
JordyC replied to OzCatter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on Sky Scream at Holiday Park. And while the ride is short, it is a very fun ride. I really enjoyed it. And there actually was a lot more force to it then I expected. Also, the in-line twist was awesome!! The ride operators were like flying all the time. The train dispatched everytime under 40 seconds. So the capacity isn't too bad. -

Their VR attachment strategy seems much simpler. Probably reduces dispatch times and will work 100% of the time. -

Silver Dollar City (SDC) Discussion Thread
JordyC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A lot of it has to do with the land the coasters were installed on. They needed more room to move around and construct Goliath, so the lift hill was designed out of necessity to give them that room. Wildfire was built on a rocky cliff side and they would of had to dig through a ton rock to pour all the footers necessary to install the lift with an all wood structure. Yes, this is correct. Of course, there are some other factors aswell. But that's the main reason, I believe. -
