Yay, more Intamin goodness for the Gold Coast. Personally, i'd rather see a clone of Superman ROS or at least something with a 200ft + drop on it, as we still dont have anything like that here. Still great news though, i'll be there to ride it as soon as i can. BTW, hows the new Batman launch tower going for you guys?

My favorite is a tie between Magic Mountain (driving South on the I-5) and Cedar Point.

Thanks for the heads up, a few months ago, there was a 'Disney Week' on Discovery Travel and Living, they had about two programs on each night. I taped all of them, except i missed the 'paris' one. The shows were... -Walt Disney World, Undiscovered -The Ultimate Walt Disney World, Rides -Disneys Great Escapes, Hotels -Inside Walt Disney Studio's, Paris -Fans Guide, Walt Disney World -Disneyland, Behind the scenes -Disney's Great Escapes, Luxury Cruisline -The Making of Expedition Everest ^I've got them on tape, i just dont know if it's possible to upload 1hr long programs?

I saw the show on Discovery, it was based on three competing coasters, El Toro, Kentucky Rumbler and The Voyage, the theme of the program was that the parks were competing to get thier coasters built first. Basically, it bagged the crap out of El Toro because it had 'pre-fab' track instead of the 'good ol' hand built track like Kentucky Rumbler. They said El Toro wouldnt be a smooth ride etc, etc... boy were they wrong. They interviewed the secret 9, but they didnt really have much to say. Actually i think they were all ACER's.

Adventure World (5 mins). It sucks.

^ huh? I must say that im a bit dissapointed, not having ever ridden SOB it was definately an attraction for my next USA visit, and now i'll never get to experience the thrills/pain that you've all shared on this woodie. Im still yet to find a POV video, does anyone know if one exists?

The video has been uploaded now, (to the video forum). It doesnt really capture how much fun the ride really is, but it will definately give you an idea of what it's about.

Cool link, the lasers are probaly the best bit of the ride, as well as the music, it's really loud and creates the best atmosphere ive come across on a dark coaster, well almost the best (Rockin Rollercoaster, space mountain). Im workin on the POV, will definately be posted this weekend.

How high is this in comparison to the towers at Knotts and California Adventure?

^ Maybe they could use the cars and track of the Wild Mouse from J's to add to 'Junkyard Coaster' at least it would be in use even if its only theming.

Something tells me you dont really like this place. The shot of Medusa in the sunset is awesome, can someone please tell me what the track is in the background of this shot? The track seems to finish (or start) 70 feet in the air.

This reminds me of the South Park episode where the boys send the Killer Whale to the moon. Glad to hear that the trainer is ok though.

They might just end up with a few of MM's coasters if it closes down. (which i hope it doesnt)
