Hate to tell you but Space Fantasy was there in May 2010 when I first visited USJ (though I didn't ride it at that time so I can't count it here). I did ride Kyary Pamyu Pamyu XR ride in May 2016 so maybe I can count that if I stretch a bit. The only non-home park ride I can really count is the Flying Dinosaur. Good ride, but it left me with the impression that flying coasters are a dumb idea. Loops serve little purpose when you're only upside down on the ascent or descent. Also, the seating position is... awkward.

I think he was only talking about Jetstar 2 where you can't be a single rider in any row. I remember back in the day when the employees were constantly hitching rides on the back of my Speedway and Dracula's castle cars. -

Rollercoaster-wise I'd say Colossus the Fire Dragon, Cannibal, Wicked, Roller Coaster and Bombora should all be done, they're all unique and great. Then there's the 2 dark rides, Terroride and Dracula's Castle. Terroride was just re-done this year while Dracula's Castle will be re-done next year. Rattlesnake Rapids is quite good if you're not worried about getting wet. The Wild Kingdom train goes through a small zoo if you're into that kind of thing. Skyride and Skyscraper both give nice views of the park. The hydro-luge is not a great ride, but this year is the last chance to give it a try. The other flats are good, ride what you like. On a Sunday this time of year you might just be able to ride everything in a day. Also, keep in mind you can take a cooler into the park with food/water/drinks/beer/whatever. There are a lot of large and small picnic terraces in the back of the park you can leave the cooler in. Everybody does this and nobody messes with the unattended coolers. --- Just realized you probably went today, but I've already written this so I'll post it anyway. haha -
I think Air Race just breaks in my presence or something. I liked the ride fine, but I'm so used to waiting in that line for nothing that it just doesn't cross my mind to even try anymore. The water is a big part of the issue with Cliffhanger, but I guess there's also just something I don't like about that kind of spinning motion (which is similar to Samurai). I think a Giant Frisbee would be the ultimate flat ride for Lagoon. I have to admit the Star Flyer freaks me out. I had a chance to ride one on a day with no lines for any ride and I didn't even consider it, it was just too easy to go on the other things I wanted to try. I had a season pass in 2015 and went a lot, but I've only been once this year. Next year I'm getting another season pass. I'm pretty stoked about Dracula's Castle re-imagined 2018 which I'm 90% sure is a real thing.

I will never again ride Cliffhanger, it is horrible IMO. Samurai is also not good IMO, may never ride it again either. Guess I just don't like Mondial stuff. Air race breaks so often I've only managed to get on it once, and I'm not sure if I'll ever have enough patience to get on it again. I'll ride anything else if we're ignoring the upcharge rides. 100th post, yay!

Two kids died at the park in separate incidents in 1989. One on Puff and one on Roller Coaster. Both were single riders in the back seat. The park decided that allowing single riders in the back seat was just too much of a risk since nobody else on the train would be aware of a rider in that position so nobody would try to stop them from doing anything stupid. The front seat thing is more morbid. On Puff, there's this big dragon head blocking the view of the track. It seems a single rider in the front seat may not have even seen the accident which involved the train looping back around and hitting a rider who fell out on the previous lap. Having two riders in the front doubles the chance of getting a reliable witness to such an accident. I think these accidents were really hard on Lagoon. Although there had been other deaths at the park they were all very far in the past before the current family of owners was involved. Puff was the last roller coaster the park built for like 15 years even while they closed the 'new wilder wild mouse'. I think they were afraid to build roller coasters for quite a while, and the park was honestly going downhill for a decade afterwards. I'm glad it has recovered but I suspect there's absolutely zero chance of the park changing this policy they've had for 27 years. I don't like it either but I'm pretty used to it by now. I think Samurai has been down all season. That's pretty unusual for a ride at Lagoon. -
What do YOU take with you to a park?
Jetstar2 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wallet, sunglasses, smokes, lighter, car keys and a cooler with coke, water, sandwiches, pudding and maybe beer. My home park is Lagoon. -
"Tiny Planet" - Like them or not?

They're fine. They look nice. Just don't take all your pictures that way. -

Lagoon has filed for a trademark for the name 'Primordial' to be used on a roller coaster. This is likely related to the rumored partially indoor interactive roller coaster to be built inside a 'mountain'. http://tsdr.uspto.gov/documentviewer?caseId=sn87553502&docId=FTK20170805081115#docIndex=0&page=1 -
Is it still Kyary Pamyu Pamyu XR ride? or is it something else? It was KPPXRR when I rode it in May 2016 but that was supposed to be over by now. If it is still KPPXRR, then it has Samsung VR goggles and only the front seats are loaded and the spinning is locked. It takes twice as long to load unfortunately. I slipped off my goggles for a second and was still able to see some space fantasy stuff. Please keep a look out for any construction going on. Really curious where Super Nintendo World is really going in at. Here's all you need to know about Kyary Pamyu Pamyu if you haven't already seen it:

Favorite attraction never made?
Jetstar2 replied to Themonerd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Epcot, the real one that Walt Disney wanted. It would have changed history. -
So there was a graphic going around that showed that Super Nintendo World would occupy the south-east corner of the park when it was first announced. The groundbreaking ceremony was held in a parking lot north of the park. Has anybody seen any actual construction going on that would confirm where SNW will really be located?

Jesus Christ There's nothing I can say about this accident. I can say, If you ever see someone dead, dying, or badly injured, don't stand there and film it. -

I went there on a Wednesday in May just after golden week and I think there were less than 300 guests at the park. Everything was walk-on. The majority of the waiting I did was on rides waiting for more riders to show up. The large pirate ship was running one side, on a schedule of once every 30 min. I rode with two parents and a child being the only other people on the ride. It may sound great, but it was actually creepy as hell. It basically seemed like the park was closed and I shouldn't be there. The loading platforms for the two boats make a giant concrete circle that looks like some sort of bizarre Colosseum. It was empty except for me. The family I rode with showed up at the last second. The opposite rear row of the boat from me was just missing for some reason. The ride op doesn't actively staff the ride, and just showed up for the one planned cycle. It was probably one of the creepiest ride experiences I've ever had. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I'm glad I did it. Just look at all those guests! -

Lagoon has finally acknowledged the re-imagined Terroride. They're celebrating the ride's 50th b-day all next week with $40 entry culminating with the official grand opening celebration Friday the 14th! (The ride has been soft-open for a month) Here's the commercial, filmed inside the ride: [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] -
What Ride Have You Ridden the Most?
Jetstar2 replied to Randomman295's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Colossus the Fire Dragon @ Lagoon. My body has become accustomed to it the same way people get used to the rocking of a boat. I'm pretty sure I could sleep on it if they didn't make me get out of my seat and back in line between rides. -

Lagoon's new Terroride T-shirt art is super slick. Honestly the only shirt I've seen from the park I'd be willing to wear. Shared by the artist on instagram: -

Here's a terribly inaccurate news feature and interview about the new Terroride: http://fox13now.com/2017/06/18/lagoons-terroride-undergoes-a-massive-renovation/ They did a lot more than just add lighting, it's not the same ride at all. It's massively souped up but still has many old things. They were aiming for Disney quality, and I'd say they somewhat approached that on a smaller scale.
