Phantasialand Discussion Thread

I love this picture. It shows how much detail that has gone into it. I mean, you can see that some supports are enclosed in what looks like an indigenous Klughelm hut on the pathway so the nessicary supports on the ride do not take away from the experience but instead makes it better! Love it. Awesome! -
Game - Guess this coaster...
Henry M replied to coasterlover420's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
A MINOR INJURY!!! There is blood all over the train and it is all over the floor. How on earth did that happen, it looks like at least half the blood in a child. I don't know haw that can be seen as minor. -
Awww, bless the person who posted this. They really know absolutely nothing about rollercoasters. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72099 I feel sorry for him and hope he learns that clouds are more high up than they look (1000-10000ft). Yeah we don't even have a coaster half that height.

Worst Coaster Ever?
Henry M replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really think Nemesis is a bad coaster and is up there with G Force. Simply a bad layout and strange unwanted forces. -
SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread

I get you on that, I was on Detonator, and they held me up there for about two minutes, and I got bored. On the other hand, I pooed myself on Apocalypse, due to the fact I knew that as soon as I reached the top, the intense free fall was imminent. -
SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread
Henry M replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, converting it into a drop tower is not a bad idea, however it does not need to have the tilting seats. It has been done before at Liseberg on Atmosphere and it is quite successful as a low intensity drop tower. However, Seaworld is a very family orientated park, and people of all ages can go on the observation tower, and for small kids, this could be quite thrilling, and it is fun for everyone, not just those over 1.4m tall. -

That's good. I am glad you enjoyed it and did you see anything going on in DBGT? -
M&D Scotland's Tsunami derails
Henry M replied to UKCoasterFan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had the same thoughts. It must have been that the whole train was so badly maintained that if one part fails, the rest will too. -

It looks like a set for a block buster movie, not a theme park. This is a whole different world to theme parks like Thorpe Park. -

The iBox track has actually been around for almost 20 years now. Look at the old Intamin tracks for Superman and Tower of terror. I don't think it is a patented track design, and I think S&S will be able to use it for their 4D coasters. -
Do you spell rollercoaster: Rollercoaster or Roller coaster?

Chinese (I swear that is not racist)

Intamin and Giovanola and B&M
Henry M replied to coloradocoasterguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have been on one Giovanola and it was great. I loved it and it was super fun. It was Shockwave at Drayton Manor. That's actually an Intamin. Actually they are Giovanolas. I agree it is confusing, but they count as 'old school' Gio's. -
Weird Coaster Facts

No, not weird, but I do wander where the other designs went and if they were used for another coaster. -

Are these coasters S and S' attempt at the Intamin version, are they basically the same? -

US Trip Planning help needed
Henry M replied to mschisano's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hi, I would recommend some 'rest days' where you could do some non-coaster stuff. I would do this at a place where there is something cultural to do and preferably on a peak time day like a weekend. Also, add another day to CP to make it more relaxed. -
Best and Worst Arrow Mine Trains

I now realize how stupid what I said was, sorry to all who had to read. I have never actually been on an arrow mine train. -
Best and Worst Arrow Mine Trains
Henry M replied to bgwfreak777's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I feel Flying fish is really boring and has no theming at all, even though I still ride it for fun, I feel it is the worse one I have done. However the best one I have done is definitely Runaway mine train at Alton Towers. I love it how it goes around such nice terrain and intertwines with the rapids. A really good family coaster.
