  1. I sometimes look at Trip reports and often think, wow, this is really entertaining or has some great photos. Which got me thinking, what is the best ever trip report. Post below your favourite and why!
  2. The newer vest-like restraints make a world of difference though. Might not be a Vekoma. If it is then it may actually be smooth (gotta give them some credit for their latest coasters) but if a knock off, then be warned.
  3. Hi, I went to Gothenberg and did not even know there was a tax! Hopefully that should comfort you. Also once you drive into Gothenberg, you will have seen the park for a long time. That is the advantage of the park having a 300ft drop tower in top of a hill!
  4. ^I love it how it is essentially a machine they decided to adapt to put human on! Any other updates on this thing?
  5. Yes! Yes! Yes! Perfect list of some of the best rides out there. I would only make two small adjustments and replace Troy with Formula Rossa and medusa with Wildfire. I just have to say that I love how you actually posted corrections to someone's personal bucket list, as if their choices were somehow "wrong". I'm sure he will change his plans accordingly now..... As for my bucket list: U.S. Coasters: Lightning Rod (sooo close, yet soooo far!) Storm Chaser Lightning Run Outlaw Run Superman (SFNE) Wicked Cyclone Fury 325 Boulder Dash New Texas Giant Iron Rattler Outside the U.S. Coasters: Wildfire* Expedition GeForce* (*NOTE: Those 2, for me, are probably the very definition of "bucket list" coasters!!) Balder T Express Colossos Goliath iSpeed ANY Mega-Lite Formula Rossa/Flying Aces Medusa Steel Coaster Keep in mind, these are all subject to change once Henry M reviews my list for accuracy and correctness! Haha. I meant that for my own personal one, I would change that to match my own. When you say Colossus though, you must not mean the Thorpe Park one?
  6. Firstly, before you go to buy fast tracks, go to the forbidden valley and ride nemesis a few times over while there is no queue. Then one the queue builds up, buy the silver fast track package which gets you on all the big coasters once if the queues are big. If not, then just get one for the smiler. If this is your first time, I would not do a TR only because you should spend more of your time looking around some of the smaller and hidden places in the park and it is currently at a low. I would like to see some pictures though on this page. Finally, don't bother queueing for the front on Rita. Unlike many rough intamins, it is just as rough anywhere you sit. Not unbearable just rattly.
  7. Yeah ... not really. As you may have heard from me in a previous trip report ranting about how Rush was running really badly and a picture of it at its full height not even reaching vertical. Well, I went again a couple of weeks back and tried it again. It was mildly better, but still did not give the thrill a S and S swing should deliver. You are better off with force and weightlessness on Vortex.
  8. That's the first time I've ever heard anyone complain about Nemesis. It's been consistently ranked higher than 12 every single year on the Mitch poll and most people prefer the old school restraints anyways. It's on my personal wish list too and for good reason. Nah, I prefer those type of restraints to the modern best ones like Swarm, but these ones are coated in a solid white paint. Rankings are not the most important thing, Helix is an awesome coaster and has not been up there. Don't get me wrong it is a great ride, but not a bucket list ride. Nemesis is on my personal bucket list because of awesome theming, being an incredible park, and the fact that if I'm riding it, then I'm in England! Making a trip to the British Isles is a bucket list item for me in itself. England Vs a picture I literally just took out of the window of my cabin. The Lofoten Islands rock! PUNS
  9. Yes! Yes! Yes! Perfect list of some of the best rides out there. I would only make two small adjustments and replace Triy withFirmula Rissa and medusa with Wildfire.

  11. Relating to Photo TR's, I did one of my local park (Thorpe Park) and would be happy for it to be used for the Pakr index. Also, once I get back from Norway, I can send some pictures of DBGT.
  12. Why does Nemesis keep coming up. Yeah, it is a good ride but it certainly does not beat the RMC collection or Mack, and the ride is simply too short to be good enough. Also the harness' are different to the usual B&M harnesses, which means that when head banging occurs (which it does) it is more painful than it should be. Honestly, the harnesses are ROCK solid, no sponginess at all!
  13. Aha! Glad you brought this up. There is now a new fastrack that will suit you! Although not being advertised on their website, there is now an unlimited fastrack for just the Big 5, allowing you to ride all the big five all day without queues. I would recommend this if you are spending a whole day at the park. Regarding X, it has a very slow throughput (10 people per train at 1 dispatch every 1.5 mins) and it is fairly popular for a reason which baffles me. It normally gets queues up to 80 mins on busy summer days (more than some of the big coasters). It is not worth riding, you may as well ride a standard Vekoma roller-skater with your eyes shut, as it is the same thing. However what is worth riding is Slammer. Even with a long queue of up to an hour, it is worth riding as it is an incredible sensation of acceleration and negative G. Also, arrive early, and you can get about three rides in without a queue. Finally, don't count on DBGT being open. #itsneveropenwhenIamthere
  14. I've only got one wooden coaster credit so I cannot make a decision at to what is a good wooden rollercoaster. I would say Liseberg.
  15. This ride does definitely have a slight feel of RMC to it. I guess after Vekoma worked with them for Wildfire they have gained some inspiration.
  16. Just a thought here, do you think this could be at least an element to this new attraction? http://www.intaminworldwide.com/amusement/Simulators/Dome+Ride+Theater+80/tabid/137/ProductNumber/Dome+Ride+Theater+80/language/en-US/Default.aspx It looks like a neat concept and would fit the ride well.
  17. Looking good. The transition from the airtime hill into the splash looks a bit sharp though, it needs to be a smoother leveling out.
  18. It is unusual because rides without a MCBR don't need three trains as one will always be waiting outside the station or even two on slow dispatches. GCI rides don't usefully have a MCBR so don't need the extra train. HOWEVER, this coaster seems to have a dual station on it, with load and unload, allowing it to have more trains, to speed up dispatches without a useless train. Should have a good throughput.
  19. As a rollercoaster enthusiast like me, yes, that is very easy, especially for a big park, however, I am definitely going to have to be extra nice to my mum for a hope in hell of going. I failed at going to Port Adventura. Meh, its worth a try.
  20. Hi, with NL2, I was wondering if there was a way to add rollercoaster soundtracks to stations, like in RCT3?
  21. At the end of last season I rode it 2 times, once front seat, once back seat. While the back seat was absolute torture, I found the front seat was actually somewhat enjoyable. It's still not smooth, but it's definitely better than the back. So I'd say go for front seat. Are you visiting the park soon? It depends on if I can persuade my mum. If it is easy and quick to get to the park then I have a higher chance of going. What is the best way to get to the park?
  22. Does Switchback railway at Dreamland Margate count as old or brand new?
  23. I have no idea how the flash pass works since I haven't used it myself. I do know though that there is not a single comfortable seat on El Condor. Thanks for trying to be helpful ... I guess?
  24. Why do you want to go when there are kids there?
  25. Also, another question, on El Condor, is there ANYWHERE on the train that is comfortable to sit (except on the bench off ride!)
