Olympia Looping from Hamburg, Summer 2010

^ I have only ever been on one other ride from this manufacturer, lisebergbananen, and the dispatch time was stunning. Is is that good on ALL of their rides? -

^^ thanks for that! It cleared a few things up. It is as if there are two Olympia looping coasters, but there are not. I really hope this is coming to Winter Wonderland! -
Alton Towers Discussion Thread

I love log flumes and I am so say that two merlin parks don't have a log flume this year. I was so sad to see Loggers Leap in such a terrible state, but hopefully it will be back. However much I love coasters, not many make me as happy as a log flume does, especially the long, journey through the woods that the Alton towers flume ride gave. Even an RMC would have a lot to live up to, but I have to still have hope for this family wooden coaster. Not many parks make classic log flumes and put effort into it, which is a shame. -
Robb, sorry, but I thought the footage of the Full Theottle Six Flags MM in the video was yours, considering the footage looks and sounds the same as the one on your channel.

I know right! It must have been designed to work a certain way. I know no other coasters which do this. -

Olympia Looping from Hamburg, Summer 2010

I have a question about Olympia looping, and that is, why sometimes does it have 5 trains and other times has 7? I have seen images and videos of bother versions, but I just don't understand how the whole coaster can work with both train styles. Where to the other carriages go as well when not in use? Finally, do they also change the size of the station to fit with the train size? 7 carriages 5 carriages -
^ Yeah, obviously It is not like other threads are much better and there is a reason why mine was in the Random one. I bet that if I made a thread like this: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=72047 Then is would be ridiculed and locked. However if this guy does it, it is fine! I am pretty sure this is on the same level of badness as my thread or even worse.

Yeah. The woman totally overreacted, however I am bringing this up for another reason. When I was at Thorpe Park, someone was sick on the car (yuck) but before they cleaned it up, first they dispatched the (almost) empty cart with the sick in it, in order to let everyone off in the further back carts until everyone was off and the sick cart was back in the unload bay. It then took over half an hour to clean up all the sick and I think it was a very good idea to let everyone off. -
Best park for coasters in EUROPE

I didn't read the rest of the replies, because the thread could have been closed right here! I do like the sound of that combo. However, I would really like about 4-5 days at Europa and 2 at Phantasialand. Including travel as well, it makes it about a 9 day trip. For me fine, great! And an epic trip, but yet again my 'companion' would NEVER go on a 9 day trip of basically just riding coasters at a theme park. Agreed! I wouldn't ever limit myself to just two parks, if I was going all the way out there. A friend of mine, who I met through enthusiast circles years ago (and posts here occasionally, actually) routinely does out of country trips, and recommended the Germany trip the highest. Assuming he doesn't go back next year (too soon), I'll definitely be looking at joining him on his next time out there. Because, as you said, nobody else I went with would be down for the kind of trip that I would want, riding coasters and being at amusement parks almost every day! I know exactly how you feel. In an ideal world, three things would happen: 1. I could find another rollercoaster enthusiast my age. 2. Me not being socially awkward and being able to make friends. 3. He/she (I am not picky) to have £410 lying around. Luckily I do, because I sent some pictures and videos of a rollercoaster broken down to the media. Maybe it would happen, the internet is a great place, however sadly you never know who you are talking to. Hence why I need to try and keep it to three days to ensure it happens at all. Hmmm. Two parks (even one sometimes) within three days with travel, sadly does not work very well. I was thinking about just doing Port Adventura, however the compromise to go would mean I would only have 9 hours at the park, and with the new Ferrari World opening up, it may not be possible. Would 9 hours be enough on a summer weekend day at Port Adventura (world)? I -

What is the best method of transport to get from Phantasialand to Holiday Park? I have looked at a train which would take 2 and a half hours, which is not much for me, but it is enough to put my 'companion' off the whole trip. Are there any faster options? -

Last time I checked, 90MPH is faster than 30MPH. Larry teaches math. He knows these things. I was referring to the fact that a 30 mph zip is fast, but there are some which go THREE TIMES AS FAST! The zip line in Wales is amazing. -

I haven´t realized they are this close to each other. Have plans for semptember/october to go to Phantasialand as well, but combining it with Holiday Park sounds like neat change of my plans. Will make the trip more worthy imho. Just done the exact same thing and have thought this may be perfect. Again, more things to think about. -

As mentioned before, this is not supposed to be in the Random forum, as this forum is called theme parks rollercoasters and donkeys. It is for this reason it is not in the random thread. On another note, the work they do is actually really good, and you can donate or adopt to help them. This is not advertising, but here is a link if you love donkeys and want to donate: http://www.iowdonkeysanctuary.org/how-to-donate/ -

^ there are two reasons it is off the list. One I have been lucky enough to visit it before, and two, yours, but ALSO other people's comments have made me decide it is not worth a revisit next year. I value your opinion whole heartedly as there are not many with as much experience as you and your ideas as to where to go helped a lot. Thanks for that. I thought Helix was great because I only have 47 'strict' coaster credits and I would really like to find some coasters that crap all over Helix and make me amazed at some incredible rides. -

Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctury

Part 2 The squeal: REVENGE OF THE DONKEY!!!! Well, I have once again visited the mystical and magical British island called the Isle of Wight, for some reason. If you are ever credit hunting in this neck of the woods, there are two to be found. However, just before my coaster addiction was about to be satisfied, I fell victim to the evil clutches of the donkeys, at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary . That's right ... The Sanctuary ... Spooky . To help the donkeys with their sadistic schemes to take over the world, they have struck an allegiance with another species, more of that to come. See the pictures, for the rest of the story. Will I ever escape??? Upon being taken hostage, I witnesses the violent goings on behind the walls of ... THE SANCTUARY. This one was my torturer. Behind you can see the interrogation shed, where I was mercilessly dragged. It is a difficult job trying to take over the world. I saw many donkeys running around in order to attend meetings. "Tell me, who sent you here" "Umm, well, you kind of dragged me here opposite to my will, so I guess you did" "Hmm, an interesting story..." You see those hills over there? Yeah, well that are Donkey territory now. NEVER look directly into a donkeys eyes. It is a threat. A senior donkey, of a high rank approached me. look at the evil in those eyes. OH MY DONKEY!!!! They have persuaded the horses to join them in battle! This one was the leader of the horse section, you would be amazed at how organised the whole system is. At this point I thought "DAMN, this is when I need Tesco's number". They graze off the earth. The two vice presidents paraded through. I was forced to bow down to them. See in the background, there are two more human being kept hostage. They write their messages into the grass, so other donkeys can see what they are saying, without making a noise. After a long study, I figured out he was writing "KILL KILL KILL". Simple but effective messages. Another horse was saying something about sheep, and the next stage. What could that mean? I was bagged from behind then, and this became my view through two holes in it. I was thrown into the prison field, with other donkey and human rebels. After they figured I was no longer I threat, they freed me, under the circumstances that I will not take any more photos. BUT THE TRUTH MUST GET OUT. They have started a new program where they are raising baby horses, and training them from such a small age. Beware, this horse was already trained in three different types of donkey martial arts. Where is Tesco when you need them? An older horse, being indoctrinated to the donkey regime. Ah. That must be what the message in the grass meant. The sheep are going to be the next stage of the donkey rebellion. I must warn them! Don't look at it in the eye. Don't look at it in the eye. Don't look at it in the eye. Don't look at it in the eye. Don't take pictures. Don't take pictures. This was a big gathering. Don't look at it in the eye. Don't look at it in the eye. S**t. I was caught and bagged again! My last view before they truly blindfolded me. Next thing I know, I wake, face to face with the leader. I don't want to recount what happened next. But it had to do with this guy. And her. I don't know how many days later, but eventually the ordeal ended. And by that point, more donkeys had joined the fight, and the messages in the grass were becoming more and more unsettling. They wanted me to join, but I said no. Official meeting sheds DONKEY! Day by day, more islanders were being taken. It was brutal. This is where my escape plan came into action. These two (who were meant to be keeping me held hostage) where in deep philosophical conversation at to if what they were doing is morally right. Mandatory hostage selfie. My plan was simply to jump the fence and run. It worked! I was free! Or so I thought... The message "see you again soon" was not a request, it was a statement as to what will happen. Free entry, no escape. Part 3, coming soon. -

Thanks for those! I live in the UK and am hoping to make it to Alton Towers soon. Robb says Helix is bad though. I am currently thinking Phantasialand as a defo, however I am still finding another park. It does not need to be in Germany. -
