New vekoma concepts

http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72652 Does this satisfy his majesty? I don't know. . . Seems a bit sassy to me. Anyway. Back on topic. ------------------------ Again, I'm really looking forward to the direction Vekoma is heading. Their newer products seem really promising. Can't wait for more future products from them. Haha! I think it is actually a big move with the new SLC design. -
Well...everything was perfect. Liturally looked awesome in the dark with the lighting affects tunnel actors and props. Although it was small it was compact, had a good story line and had interactive elements forcing the time up to a respectable 2:30 mins. As you can see in the latter pictures, the lights for one half of the room were off, as the lights work on a sensor basis (or so I was originally told). I covered all the sensors bar one so it was light while setting up. When I left I covered the last one and left. I arrived in the morning at 7am to finish preparations and get actors ready for a 9 start. It was all completely dark and we were moving about and the lights were off and everything was perfect. I ran a test run as myself and was impressed which what I made. The self made costumes were also pretty neat in the context. I got the first paid group and told them to pay. They paid, and I gave them the disclaimer and entrance speech. As I guided them through to the room, I felt nervous. Hey, why not, that was over 40 hours of work in there! I open the door for them at 9:05 and saw the fear which kept me up all night. THE F**KING LIGHTS. They were on. Nothing could describe the sheer devastation. I tried all morning to get them off in the hope of getting at least two groups through by the 13:00 closing time, but I only ever managed to keep the lights off for one minute maximum, and every time they came back on, it meant a 30 minute wait before they might go off again. I did this until 11, getting no group through. All the time people were growing more and more rowdy, and I had to try to calm them down explaining there "was a technical issue which we hope to resolve soon. The maze should be open within 30 minutes." It was like Derren Browns Ghost Train. At 11 I gave up, as the lights did not go off at all! I left it for 45 minutes and they did not go off, meaning something else was triggered. In the end, I just let people go in and see it with the lights on as people were still eager to see what was inside (I ran a good ad campaign) and charged £1 per person. I made about £60, which it terrible considering how I spend £50 and 40 hours on it. That makes me working at 25 p an hour. However, it gets worse. The next school day (Monday) I have teachers innocently ask me how it went, and every time I had to explain no. No, it was s**t not due to me but due to a technical issue. Also very helpful sarcastic comments from other people. Further more, some of the items I was forced to leave unattended as I borrowed them and access to lockers was not granted at the time. When I found them on Monday, they had been vandalized and put in the toilet and other stuff like that. I now have to pay for that stuff, driving my profits down into negative. Crap. Long story short, I made -£20. It was not my fault it failed to be fair. Yes there is a switch for the lights, but the people who can switch off the switch refused to do it for me.

I went to Sydney aquariums years ago, the main one. Is this the one I would have gone to? -

There will be zero or next to zero forces acting on the train as it will be weightless, so the stress on the track will be low. -
^ why did your dad want to stay anyway if there were no big stars?

Vietnam's Increasing Coaster Count

Then you haven't been paying attention! Everest, Grizzly Mountain, the new launched ride at Energylandia, the new hyper designs they've released...Vekoma has really stepped up their game! Vekoma are great! Their designed are way more innovative than B and M. -
This: http://dailynewsdog.com/water-park-slide/ Although the language is convincing, there is only really one picture, from a very unconvincing angle and looks like photoshop. If this is real, let me know, but for now... The height looks a little bit tall as well, and the gradient is massive.

It sounds like someone wasn't allowed to jump on the bed when she was a kid. Or been on an Indian train. -

The newer vest-like restraints make a world of difference though. Might not be a Vekoma. If it is then it may actually be smooth (gotta give them some credit for their latest coasters) but if a knock off, then be warned. It won't be a knock off in my opinion. This park is willing to pay out for B and M coasters so a two to three million pound VEKOMA Boomerang will not be too bad. -
The time is near. The Institute will launch this weekend from 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturday. It is happening. Now to get back to coating masks in glow in the dark paint.

I'm pretty sure it's for a triple dueling Game of Thrones themed wooden coaster, but I could be wrong. that's going in right next to the aquatrax right. Probably, yes. -
Thanks for sharing, some really nice photos. The park looks really well kept.

Olympia Looping in England???
Henry M replied to gerstlaueringvar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Today I went down to see the construction of Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland and it is safe to say that Olympia...sorry, Munich Looping, is there. I walked all around the perimeter taking pictures so you don't need to go. The construction looks really good, and some rides were even testing, although not what I wanted to see test. At points I got really close to Munich Looping, and could almost feel the G's. Enjoy the pictures. By the way, like my journey, the pictures of Olympia Looping get clearer the further along you go. Tall things lurking through the trees of Hyde Park I got a Hangover...whooooaaa!! This is my all time favorite drop tower, and I have a good history of drop towers. Yep, this thing beats Detonator, Atomsfear, Giant Drop and Apocalypse stand up and sit down, as well as many more. Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! My first view of the worlds largest travelling ride. Gotta love some air. I loved this last year, I got it all to myself. Wow. There it is! LOOK!!! RCT 3 anyone? Not ready for testing yet. Poking my camera though chinks. How does that from a Midsummer Night Dream go? Ah yes, "Thou Wall, O Wall, O sweet and lovely Wall, Show me thy chink to blink through with mine eyne!" Spinning ride. No Olympia Looping do I see. O wicked Wall through whom I see no bliss! Cursed be thy stones for thus deceiving me! I did eventually find a wide open gate, and went as far in as I dared to get pictures before getting shouted at. This shows the park quite well. It actually looks really good, and I am trying to plan how to split up my money on the rides I want to go on (with an assumption of £8 per ride). The inverted coaster. It looks tame, but I really want to try it as it is so unique. A nice skyline. Getting close, through the trees! Funky loop. The first loop's size and shape makes it look like it should have hag time. I look forward to feeling what it is really like. First drop. I was surprised by how steep it was. Loops Testing on Thriller was nice to see. I like this picture. Is this a picture form Germany? It could be, but it is not. Olympia Looping in London It is beautiful So many loops. Deja Vu from dreams I had a few weeks before the rumors came out. It is well worth a visit if you are near, even if it is not open yet. It's thriller! Thriller night. Some rides have moved position. Ski jump is in a really bad place, so less queues for me! A panoramic sky line of some of the main rides. Testing. I leave you on this picture showing how close to opening it is. Less than a week to go. -
