  1. 1.Maverick : Not having to cross my fingers to hope we get through the line without the ride shutting down for maintenance. 2. I305: Fix those trim brakes on the camelbacks. Oh, and maybe have the restraints a little nicer to the thighs. 3. (Tie) Millennium Force; Just a little more airtime. That's all I ask. Fury 325: Trims before helix. Why dampen the airtime? 5. (Tie {Again}) Skyrush: Take a note from I305. Apollo's: Maybe take away that pre-drop. And that's a maybe.
  2. ^Volcano's line is almost always bad. When we went for Haunt, even with Fast Pass Plus, the line stretched the whole way out passed the scrambler. The regular line...was just bad.
  3. Those models look so cool! Thank goodness IAAPA exists! Thanks for the great coverage!
  4. While it is one of the greatest things to happen to the park (to some people), Delirum next year is gonna be a better use of space. The one thing i will miss is the loud trains though, and the neon loop. I have memories of watching it when i was at the park for the first time in 07, before we moved. Other than early memories...well that's all it gave. That and concussions, broken body parts, and other things I wish not to discuss. All in all ... BURN BABY BURN (Although maybe they'll reuse the steel? [probably not])
  5. We went for the first time in June, and didn't get to ride everything, but I will rate what I did ride. 1. Maverick 2.Millennium Force 3. TTD 4. Gatekeeper 5. Raptor 6. Gemini or Rougarou 8. Mean Streak Didn't get around to Blue Streak, Magnum, Wicked Twister, Draggin' Iron, or Mine Train. Skipped on Corkscrew and the kiddie stuff. It was in the aftermath of the tropical storm this summer that we went for my birthday. We probably would've gotten everything done had the rain not closed everything.
  6. Dear lord, TTD! When I went to CP for the first time in June, that paint bothered me so much. It looks so good now, agh! And the Raptor stripe...
  7. I was 8-9 when I rode the little Wild Mouse at Idlewild. I enjoyed it a lot (even for a vekoma), but we never traveled out to Kennywood or Hershey at the time we lived in PA, so I never rode any bigger coasters, and lost my love for'em. When I was eleven, we moved to VA. I went to KD with some cousins and rode Dominator, and that reginited my love of coasters. Now we're here. So, I guess you could say I was eleven.
  8. Geez, I think this year was the most traveling we've done in a while (if you don't count the thirteen hour drive to Orlando back in 2013)... Kings Dominion X7 (it will be seven come tomorrow) Busch Gardens X1 Cedar Point X1 Kennywood X2 Carowinds X1 Knoebels X1 I hit at least one park a month from March to October...huh.
  9. Nighthawk and Everest are tied for me. 2nd place: Rock'n Roller Coaster
  10. Hmm...I guess at least one, four+ if you count the basics. One of my best friends knows all of the major manufactures, as well as some of the elements and differences between gigas, stratas, and hypers. Heck, he knows what an LIM is now, and we watched the live streaming of when Lightning Rod was announced, and he's excited for that as much as I am.
  11. When your ringtone is the theme to that of a certain giga coaster in Ohio.
  12. Kings Dominion on Saturday, the 24th. First time going to Haunt too!
  13. Well, when off-season rolls around, so does college and pro american football. That lasts through till January/February, which is when parks tend to release their 2016 schedules. From then on, its just hype until opening day.
  14. So...anyone seen that dead raccoon pic circulating about? Apparently, this raccoon was in the structure of Volcano, jumped out, and got severed in half during the second launch Can someone confirm this or something? *insert Raptor'd reference here*
  15. Ah, the ever-so-talked-about Bags of Crap... They look so cool! Man, I totally want one (despite my luck this past week being terrible)!
  16. Figured. The weather here is pretty bad, with the rain and all. I hope at least Sunday's open: I was planning to head down for some quick rides on drop tower, FoF, and I305 (maybe) in the rain. If not, I got some football to watch...
  17. ^ FoF's line is something else. I've had it go from walk-on to almost a full queue, switchbacks and all.
  18. *chanting* Intamin! Intamin! Intamin! INTAMIN!
  19. Longest waits...hmm... -Maverick: 3 hours -Skyrush: 1 1/2 hours I've waited for 45 minutes for a lot of rides
  20. Do you count being stuck in the station? Got stuck on Volcano for 20 mins in the station. Something with the breaking/ trying to get the train lined up. And because the train wasn't in the proper area, the OTSRs would not go up. Something similar happened as well on i305: they got the restraints off just as the park closed, and because they only ran one train, we were the last ride of the night. Then there was my 3+ hour Maverick wait, but technical issues was only part of the problem.
