Great to see Kennywood looking better then it has in the past! I'm actually heading up there in June, but unlike you I'm not going to CP . Looking forward to the Point pictures! Great report!

Mako looks like it will be a solid addition to Seaworld. And, isn't BGT's announcement coming up soon? (I wonder what those shark fins are made out of in those treats...)

Thunder Road got stuck on the lift the day we went...closed for the rest of the day and didn't get the credit. Its closing makes me really mad, but, at the same time kind of happy. Their waterpark looked small (from my views) and I think its great the park gets a bigger selection in slides (repetitive slides, may I add). Overall, the expansion of the waterpark can both be good and bad...I guess... Now I'm going to get as many rides as I can today on Rebel Yell.

I'm going tomorrow for a bit actually. I'm definately checking this place out tomorrow!

I've ridden good rides and bad rides on Alpengeist. For me, the 'bads' outweigh the 'goods'.

^ and ^^ I couldn't agree more. Alpengeist can be head-banging sometimes (don't get me wrong, its still a good ride), and Anaconda is terrible in almost every seat you ride in. Shockwave isn't TOO bad in some places...

Huh. I wish I was on that ride. But, that is weird. I don't think the ride normally does that. Maybe they're trying something new?

That slide looks AMAZING. Looks like I have to go to the water park this year!

Yeah, I read the note on Screamscape this morning, and then I saw the picture on Cedar Fair's site after I reread the fourm. I'd love a coaster to go to KD next year. It'd be great, especially if it were a launched B&M. Rekindle that 'Launched Coaster Capital', I guess. However, the rumors about a hyper coaster coming to the park... My vote's in for some launched B&M. Heck, even if its just a launched coaster, that'd be fine by me.

Question: Is Thunder Road STILL shut down? At the end of the day on Easter, when I went, both cars got stuck on the lift at around 5-6ish. North Carolina got fixed, but South Carolina had to get maintenance in to push the ride down the hill. After that, they closed the ride for the rest of the night. Did it reopen, and shut down again? Or has it been like this since Easter?

Definitely looking forward to this next month with my GP friends. I'm so jealous right now...

Nice pictures! The one of I305 Is definately my favorite. I'm not the only person who's first 'big' coaster was Dominator either!

I visited Easter Sunday; crowds were way smaller than I anticipated, and started to gather around 3 or so. Fury was great, Intimidator was fun, and Afterburn is now in my (small) top ten (despite the ride breaking down twice while in line). I don't know if any other park has them, but those Plinko games are a really good way to (get money) and Fast Passes when you can't afford them! Heck, we won one and got to skip a two hour wait for Nighthawk (that wait looked terrible). Carowinds was a solid park. I'll definately go back in the future. Coasters are solid, food is great (Chick-fil-a is always great), and the operators were fantastic! Especially those Fury ones! I got on twice in an hour because of that line!

^ Perfect. I was at KD, opening day, and in the front row of FoF. The guy next in line (he's around 19) starts talking to his buddy. "Your gonna piss yourself!" I look over and say "Oh, admit it, you already did." This gets him really riled up. "This thing has no restraints, its really dangerous." The ride-ops clear the ride, and I put my hands up, ready to get launched. "If it was dangerous, it wouldn't be running for time it has been, now would it?" Later that day, I walked off of Anaconda (my friend was getting the credit), and the same two guys were behind us. "Oh my god! Did you see how high we were? We were like, 400 feet in the air!"

Oh god...I'm going on Easter Sunday....I'm really nervous now... Although, I really do hope the lines are moving fast. (that mean's the crew's putting in a bunch of effort too!) But if worse comes to worse, I will wait in a six hour line.

I guess I'll have to ride all three then! Thanks!

I'm going ot KD this weekend, and Carowinds on Easter Sunday...to say the least, I'm very excited to ride this! And to those who went to the event: which row is the best?
