  1. Backflop...wait, then I'd have the wind knocked out of me! Would you rather: Not ride coasters again or do a 48 hour marathon on the most poorly maintained/roughest Vekoma?
  2. Blue jeans Tan Adio shoes Black hoodie Black t-shirt with the Pac-Man ghosts on it White socks
  3. The 12 year old inside me noticed the word "erection" as well and caused me to chuckle.
  4. First off, here's my rant. (Yes, wrong topic to a degree) Classes start this coming Tuesday (Jan. 17), grades came out today (Jan. 12). I think the college slacked off a bit on releasing the fall 2005 semester grades. Ok, so here they are... ..drumroll, followed by evil music... Intro to Drawing: A Figure and Composition Drawing: B Intermediate Algebra:F Not so happy this round...
  5. Definitely worth it. Besides the animals, of course, my favorite addition to it was the extended coaster as I can actually make a Beemer the way it should be.
  6. TTD, Gemini, Millenneum Force (sp?) Iron Dragon, Mantis, Cedar Creek Mine Ride and Magnum, all at Cedar Point
  7. That's Medusa's Sea Serpent, very similar to the cobra roll but it exits the same direction.
  8. This recap update thingy kinda reminded me of SMB2's ending: And it was only a dream...
  9. Are you sure it's the "One and Only"?
  10. They're pulling a bad move doing this. My family often leaves the park mid day to eat what we've brought along with us and then re-enter the park. Honestly, the parks are now trying to find every way to milk visitors for their money by paying for overpriced food/drinks.
  11. I would stray from any Vekoma coaster as I'd be asking for a problem. I would probably do Space Mountain as it's indoors, away from cold if it happened to be, away from rain if it also happened. I would also probably do Medusa as it's smooth and comfy.
  12. Well, it's not RCT2 but here's a RCT3 Space Mountain video here. It's not 100% accurate but they did a decent job on it.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. I don't hate Vekoma, but I do like making fun of them for headbanging.
  15. Rectangle. I hate being limited on what I can do on bumper cars...well, it is fun to be like driving on the road and cut people off, side swipe them, or deliberately stall in front of them.
  16. ^^Yes, your Zonga was quite accurate. I'll admit that the psycho-loops are completely whacked out but it works as far as looks. I'll keep mine as back-to-back vertical loops to keep it 'smoother' transitionwise. Nice! Can't wait to see the rest of it. Are you going to fully theme the area (station, parking lot, etc) as well? <--- BTW, that's my favorite Taiko emoticon!
  17. Here's a small update to show you. It's nothing much but here's some progress. Wait up...one more. Not so much an update pic but the night time and rain gives the park an eerie feel to it. And to end it, here's Tazmanian Devil This is one of the main areas I worked on the past 2 days or so. The evil Vekoma Boomerang! Zonga's Plaza...pretty, eh?
  18. Sloppy copy editing...gotta love it EDIT: OMG I just realized that it was called "Greased Lightning" through the whole article instead of "Greezed Lightnin'" which was it's proper name. Wow...and people wonder why I am ashamed to have a journalism degree!!! Sickening. -Julie Good catch. Have you ever noticed that when people write compact disc they use a "k" like disk. Media does this all the time. If I am not mistaken the "c" is what makes it a trade mark. ANYWAY. This is one of my favorite rides at AstroWorld. Even with the auction, I am not sure that it will have a much longer life.. I always thought that the word "Disk" referred to the storage device like a floppy disk, disk drive, all derived from the word "Diskette". The word "Disc" refers to the flat round object like a CD/DVD, frisbee, all derived from the word "Discus"
  19. "I don't use tools" would most likely mean that he did it by hand, smoothed by hand, no formulas and stuff.
  20. Can I see a close up of the loops? I'm kinda confused but that looks great.
  21. New Years Eve/Day has been quite awful here. First off, the crazy Nor Cal storms sets the mood for the rest of this terrible weekend. First on the list of events was when a newly built shed/music room area sprung a leak twice over yesterday. Also, things felt quite strange as my dad just got over surgery and is kinda stuck in bed for probably the next week or so. Next up, one of our cats isn't feeling quite well. Today, the roof springs a leak again after a heavy rain. And to end things off, my brother's puppy he just got on Thanksgiving passes away tonight after multiple seizures (probably about 20 of them) and there wasn't much the vet could do. It's been a rough weekend and a not-so-good way to begin 2006. I'm ready for 2007 already.
  22. This storm has completely made this weekend quite tough. Twice over yesterday, part of our roof sprung a leak. Twice over, in pouring rain I had to try to cover it up. Luckily, nothing was damaged. Once again, it began to dribble tonight. Talk about a fun weekend. To top things off, right after mission 1 of the roof, we got a warning of servere thunderstorms. Talk about perfect timing!
  23. Oh, it's a floating catwalk I forgot to delete before taking the screenshot. What happened was that I thought it was next to the lift but it turned out that it was a few tiles over and a bit higher giving it the illusion that it was lined up with the rest of the catwalks.
  24. Ok, here's an update...not big but it's an update. First off, I'd like to point out that the park's becoming so realistic that it it's raining (as it's actually raining in the bay area tonight) so prepare for some wet-lens screenshots! Also, I'd like to point out, there's plenty of coaster photos so enjoy! And yes, the rain sucks! A few notes: 1) I'm in the process of experimenting with the dolphin/whale shows 2) "V2.5" has to use Vekoma track as the Intamin track doesn't have a diagonal/horizontal heartline spiral. 3) What do I use for the kiddy whale ride? (it's like the Dumbo ride) 4) There probably won't be an update tomorrow due to the holiday. 5) And lastly, Corkscrewy, I'd really like to see your Zonga. Actually, if anyone would like to suggest ideas/post screenies of recreations of SFMW's rides they've done themselves feel free! I'll end it with one last overviewage shot. A mess of wood and steel...this is only Roar/Zonga/V2's plazas And V2's front "slant" (it's technically a spike, right?) V2's back "stub" And I'm Zonga's dreaded red loop of doom! I'm a coaster! Here me "ROAR!" And yes, here's a promised coaster photo! An empty train waiting to deliver some nice airtime! So, tonight consisted of detailing some areas like this. WTF? Trespassers! Stupid GP! (Honestly, I don't know how they got there!) Ok, here's the park before I started tonight. This is pretty much where I left off last night. Perhaps they got too impatient and set someone's car on fire Well, park's not open yet but we've got anxious people waiting...wait! No parking next to Medusa!
  25. Actually, I'd really like to see your version of Zonga. My Zonga was actually built in RCT2 and I just imported it as it was a pain in the butt to build. RCT2 was hard enough. Please post your image if possible!
