What I do is color the ground the black asphalt color and sink the walls into the ground until a thin sliver sticks out (You know, hold shift and move the wall down...it will be able to go into the ground). Using creativity, you can make crosswalks, parking lots, lanes, etc. It's not really that hard. Just experiment and see what you come up with. And don't forget the cars!

TPR and Theme Park Artwork
Angry_Gumball replied to sfmmFREAK's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Sorry for double posting again but as some know, finals are around the corner or are happening right now for us in college. For my figure & composition drawing class, we had to do a scene containing 5 people, 2 full-figured people. So here it is...anyone want to take a stab at what medium I used? I'll give you 3 hints: No one can touch it, it will be on 18x24 paper, and this is the first time I've ever used this technique for a drawing. Also, here's my just about finished Riddler's Revenge. Lastly, any news on that Tatsu drawing? I'm anxious to see more of it! -
The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread

I got bored last night and threw this together. I'm sure everyone's familiar with www.weeweeslap.com (For those who aren't, its another coaster exchange...nothing gross!) WiiWiiSlap parody -

Though I've seen this topic since it started, I was linked from Ebaumsworld.com. It's linked on their page as "Nice Theme Park" -
Cedar Fair buys PARAMOUNT PARKS!
Angry_Gumball replied to Canobie Fan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This should be interesting. What will happen to the newly-added Survivor? Is it going to have some kind of facelift as it's currently themed to Survivor? It should also be interesting to see the namechanges for PGA's DropZone and Top Gun. I just hope they don't change it to some generic name like "Dominator" and "Headspin." Those names kinda feel odd to me. -
A Day In The Life Of YOUR TPR Visit!
Angry_Gumball replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My TPR visit events come in the following order: 1) Check homepage for any updates 2)Check the boards, usually from the bottom up (Starting at the Random and ending at the Roller Coasters thread, to see if there's anything new, or anything random. 3) Doublecheck if there was anything I missed. 4) Reply to anything that applies to me (Such as the TPR Art thread) 5) Maybe check out some of the old photos of different parks if there's nothing else to do. 6) *Rarely* Maybe if I really have nothing better to do, I'll fish for some really old topics, just to read them for old memories (Like my old Skimboarding TR or Paintball TR) That's what a typical TPR visit's like for me. -
What Rides Scares the Crud Out Of You?
Angry_Gumball replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just a simple straight-drop speedslide get's the OMFG's out of me...I still get nervous, even thinking of riding one again. -
Regarding the Nintendo Wii, I'm noticing that the Nintendo Power magazine from this month and the EGM mag also from this month is still referring the Wii as the Revolution. Have they not gotten the news (from April) that it's called the Wii or do the writers prefer calling it the Revvie? I do believe that Nintendo Power showed a pic of the Wii-volution display at the E3 convention.

Haha! These are great...now let's see one about me and my art, and the TPR members fighting to buy it. Seriously, keep 'em coming! They're definitely worth a laugh, especially "Vekoma Cooties" -

Pong consists of just Beeps and Boops. There's no actual music, is there? -

Your drawing has inspired me to do a pencil drawing of a B&M coaster at SFMM as my final drawing for my art class. I need to kinda fix up the incline loop as it's 'pumpy' -

You begin shading fast! I usually save the shading as the last as I tend to smudge the graphite. I think I'm gonna do a pencil drawing coaster tomorrow as one of my last drawings. -

Yosemite is an awesome place to visit. That place brings back memories, when I visited it in Kindergarten. We slept in the log cabins and one night, my dad went outside and began scratching the walls and doors...my cousin and I thought it was a bear as we heard about bears being in the area. Also, the 4 days we were there, we had all 4 seasons, not in order. A more recent trip was a day trip, cramming all of us and some neighbors into a van for a day trip. We hiked the trail to Nevada Falls but the hike continued to get steeper and the trail got narrower...and we had some young ones with us, so we didn't want to wear them out. We later walked around, looked at the rivers and gift shops and so on.

Time to bump this topic again. Some may remember my screwed up Montu I did on the scratchboard (The color screwed it up). Using chalk-like pastels on black 25-cent construction paper, I made a POV shot of Montu which came out awesome. Still working on it though as you can see. This picture is 18''x24'' and will be framed when completed. -

Sweetness! I'll be looking forward to using Wario and his fart attack, as well as the Zero Mission Samus as I used Samus on the previous Super Smash Bros games. I'm now relieved that we will be able to use Gamecube controllers if we prefer playing that way versus using the Wii's control method, which should be quite interesting as well. I'm definitely getting the Wii when it comes out.
-
Doing a random search on Myspace Videos, I came across this. It's some footage of the Wii's game and an idea of how the controller works. LoZ:TP looks quite promising, let alone the fishing.
-
I read about that Wario Ware: Smooth Moves and read about the idea of curling barbells, hula hooping, and balancing the 'wii-mote' on your head while squatting. That had me even more interested when I read that, having played (and loved) Wario Ware Twisted. If that game didn't make me look crazy enough twisting/spinning my gameboy around, then this should do the trick. I'm still curious on how Super Smash Bros Wii is going to work.

Coolest Looking coaster
Angry_Gumball replied to kingdanny's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As much as I heard of it being over-rated, I think this coaster looks nice at night. Infact, I did a pastel drawing of it on a huge (18"x24") poster paper. I'll post a pic of my version once I get it framed. Pastels unframed are very vulnerable to smudging.
