Ok..just got done watching "Tooth and Claw". One thing that the series (esp. during the Tom Baker era) has performed well is victorian gothic horror, and this ep. is no exception. Great setting, plotline and tie-in to Torchwood. All in all, decent ep.

Billie Piper just grates on my nerves. Her cockney accent are like nails on a blackboard. I think they shoulda picked up the plucky Lynda with a "Y" from Satellite Five (Bad Wolf/The Parting Of Ways)and left Rose Tyler at her mums flat

So you're aunt is Vicki? She appeared in William Hartnels' third series, that unfortunatly, was destroyed by the then non-forward thinking BBC...something about how video tape and film at the time was expensive and keeping a record of early programs wasnt an agenda.

I like Tom baker, besides the fact he was an eccentric, he also had some of the best writers in his series(Terry Nation, Douglas Adams). But I also enjoyed Sylvester McCoy in his brief two series run. Chris Eccleson was a great bridge, but I would've rather them ran Paul McGann as The Doctor.

Ok, heres my take on New Earth: Decent episode, lacks the bite of "End Of The World" from last series (the first apperance of cassandra,the skin sheet) but a decent story nontheless. David Tennant as The Doctor,who, is a self admitted "who" fanatic since childhood, injects the 10th regeneration with some much needed humor and fortitude. I have a feeling Tennants turn as the Last Timelord will be one of the most remembered.

John Stewart was the final "choice" for GL on Justice League and Unlimited because, for all PC intents and purposes, he was black. Originally, the creators were going to use current GL Kyle Ranier, but seeing the "Justice League" lacked a minority character (Martian Manhunter was the last of his people,talk about keeping a brother down), they bumped out cracker Kyle for the shaven head and jive stylings of John Stewart.
