  1. Ok...heres another question on this thread, LAX or Burbank? Im finding cheaper flights to LAX but Burbank is right down the road from my sister in laws place, as she lives in glendale...any thoughts?
  2. Robb, I s**t you not, I saw the same broad at McCarren playing the Wheel of Fortune Slots back in july during my honeymoon. She kept hitting bonuses and won like 500 bucks while waiting for the same flight we were on...
  3. Joey, excellent TR man, I dig the Japanese Baseball Fan, as they're loyal to their team, eventhough they win or lose...Unlike the MLB in the US, j-ball encourages the noisesticks and the rowdy fan. Just curious, did ya put away a bowl of noodles while ya watched the game??
  4. Excellent report mike, congrats on a year of seeing the good, bad and ugly of Americas parks. But, I have to say one thing: Panda Express and Mash Potatoes for breakfast?? You're a stronger man than I
  5. Excellent TR! You showed some excellent angles of one of my favorite cities in Texas (seeing Dallas is a joke LOL)...Thank you for posting this!
  6. Seeing that SFMM is one of the core parks that draws a decent crowd, it would be a dumb move to sell it off now.
  7. Six Flags needs to pare down to just a few core parks (SFOT,SFOG,SFFT,SFMM,SFGA), spin off its non-US based parks into their own company and sell off its "non themepark" (i.e. not on same site) assets (Waterparks, ect.). Then, get back to focusing on a great product at those parks.
  8. The Cubbies Will Shine in 2009, They will win the NLCS vs the Dodgers and go to the World Series and take down the Yank-mees. My home team (Rangers) however, will have a below .500 year and just stink it up once again... Chris "The Proud Cubbie Fan in Dallas" Zer0
  9. Would that be the Faster Pussycat Speedway? It would be setup like Autopia, but with cooler cars and chicks in tight outfits..
  10. You forgot the greatness of Russ Meyer, Don Coscarelli, George Romero and Tom Savini
  11. For veggies like broccoli, califlower and even portas, I like a tempura batter, it sticks to the veggie better and it comes out tasking better..
  12. Martin, with GPS (sat nav), your best luck would be with Hertz. they also have Sirius Sat. Radio as well, so you dont have to listen to all the boring American "free" radio... Robb, with SFMM, Mid-Sept. is usually the time the thugs from LA Unified go back to school right??
  13. Old bay is good on everything(crab, fish, cool whip)...I like the Utz Crab Chip, which luckly I can find here but pay 4.50 a bag for... Just curious, what type of oil did ya fry in??
  14. Good points, as I like to use the veggie meat sparingly as is.
  15. Im already a fan of Boca and Gardenburger. I like the Boca sausage links and crumble, which is great for making sloppy joes and tacos. Im trying to get the wife to get off meat as a whole as well, as we're both trying to cut weight and get in shape...
  16. Jay, great thread...im trying to go totally veg and its been a struggle. I'll be checking this thread out often to see what your making..
  17. Thats something I actually crave, learning a cities roads/highways. But, giving crazy directions give me a headache. Im a believer in KISS when it comes to point a to point b directions. Chris "I never colored in the lines as a kid" Zer0
  18. No doubt man, I learned the word "SigAlert" a long time ago (damn you KTLA!! ).
  19. This dovetalis into something im curious about: Distance. Im going to be on the north side (pasadena/glendale) to see my new nephew/niece come october, is LA that much of a nightmare when it comes to driving to SFMM and DLR??
  20. Well Done Fries Animal Style w/ an choc. shake is good, But the burgers just ok. Carls Jr. is an alright chain as we have a couple here in Dallas.
  21. LOL Jimmy on the chic-fil-a comment. I agree with ya robb, In-N-Out is slightly overrated, as I had them in vegas last summer. Not bad, but not something id eat weekly....Id prefer a chiliburger from Tommys, as I like chili and burger Schedulewise, Its look like i'll be in LA metro the second week of october...im looking at making a plan of attack to hit the Mouse Nation/Knotts in Anaheim, USH and then SFMM in Valencia. Also, im debating on where to stay, as my sis-in law and her husband live near glendale (near the ventura)...any thoughts??
  22. I'll be in LA/SoCal this october (5 days - extended weekend), just curious about hitting both the parks and their halloween events..When do the parks usually start with the haloween festivites?? Also a question for the SoCallers here: Who makes the better burger, Tommys or In N Out?
  23. Wow..old man 6 is back..its for the whole chain apperantly, as people like the guy, whos probably a small chick in disguise.... Its good to know Terminator will be up for my october trip to LA...yeah, thats right..i'll be in the alveys back yard, eating at the in 'n out off of radford, taking pictures of the sites and peeking in their windows, like Jeff does when he's gets bored or lonely, which sounds like a regular occurance
  24. That was one of the best TRs ive read in awhile, guys you made me laugh on an otherwise really crummy day. Thank you!
  25. Ah yes, the japanese and their unhealthy facination with Cosplay. It borders on a sickness I tell ya Rob, again an excellent TR for us folks too poor to go to TDL/DS. Thank you!
