  1. Oh. My. God. These pictures are absolutely beautiful. This ride is going to be a monster.
  2. Oblivion- Alton Towers
  3. You sound like a Patriot fan. If the balls were altered between the time the ref approved them and the game, then at the very least the patriots should be heavily fined. Neither team complained during the game so it is a non-issue as far as the game goes. Nope, Giant fan. I just don't think this is a big deal.
  4. ^ I think its a witch hunt, and if it was a team other than the Patriots, it would already be forgotten about. Every team doctors balls to their QBs preference, and the ref approved all of the Patriots balls 2 hours before kick off last Sunday. It's much ado about nothing.
  5. I've been watching the POV rendering of Wicked Cyclone all winter because it looks incredible and I can't wait to ride it.
  6. At Great Adventure, its Skull Mountain and Blackbeard's Treasure Train. Both are a lot more fun than they would seem. At other parks, I look for a solid collection of flats that I'd actually ride (I don't handle spinning well, so that leaves out teacups and scramblers.) I really love whips and a well put-together dark ride.
  7. ^Once again, Great Adventure does NOT open their new rides on opening day. They wait until the park starts daily operations, or when they finally get around to finishing it. So expect El Diablo to open in July.
  8. Well, at least now we know where that "Jersey Devil" coaster rumour got its legs from. Guess it's safe to assume that we aren't getting the path from Golden Kingdom to Plaza del Carnival now. Oh, and it still isn't a coaster.
  9. GASM being torn down for Green Lantern at GAdv
  10. What theming? The abandoned and rusting Skyway towers nearby? Towers abandoned due to the incoming "Wicked Cyclone".
  11. Cool idea in theory, but I doubt this will ever come to fruition. Especially those ferries. Atlantic City doesn't seem like the place where a waterpark would thrive.
  12. Because Six Flags doesn't open their new additions with the park. They wait for daily operations to begin, as a way to force people to buy season passes in order to make return visits.
  13. I wish I had made my visit to NE earlier this past summer. I would have liked to take a spin on Cyclone. By the time I got there, in August, it was already closed and they had already started work on the structure. That being said, I cannot wait for this beast to open. It seems to be the only coaster with the potential to unseat El Toro as my personal #1.
  14. Riddler's Revenge is slightly better than GL, but it isn't smooth by any stretch of the imagination.
  15. ^ Being that its only a little after noon on the East Coast, and the current freezing temperatures, I doubt this. Highly.
  16. OMG! That looks so sexy!!! (I know this sounds weird but it does!) I know what you mean. I stared at this pic for a good 5 minutes before scrolling down. I can't wait to ride this thing.
  17. The roughest rides I've ever had on a B&M were on stand-ups. Both Green Lantern at GAdv and Riddler's Revenge at SFMM hurt my legs from vibrations and the B&M rattle.
  18. This. When the clues this summer hinted towards Namtab, I was very excited at the prospect of it. But the more time I've had to think about it, the less I'm interested in the ride running backwards. Like you said, B:TR is perfect. It was running incredibly this season, compared to its neighbor, a younger B&M
  19. I think thats what it is too. They open the ride at a later date in order to entice people who go when the park opens for the season to buy a season pass.
  20. Awesome pictures. Of the 4 parks I visited when I was out West recently, Knotts was my favourite.
  21. An addition that makes sense for a park of Lake Compounce's size, although a new ride would have been nice.
  22. The only ride I consistently grey out on is Nitro. That helix gets me almost every time. I've also greyed out on Bizarro (both versions), B:TR (only the SFMM version), and Tatsu.
  23. Hm, it seems that I'm the only person who had a comfortable ride on Goliath. Granted, I never rode it with its old train, so I have no comparison, but I didn't find the new train to be uncomfortable in the slightest. It's my second favourite coaster in the park. I do agree about Bizarro. Get rid of the speakers if they don't work. GAdv cut their losses with their version of Bizarro a few years ago. It's time for NE to do the same. As to whether or not they theme it back to S:ROS, I don't care either way. It will still be a hell of a ride.
  24. While part of me agrees Great Adventure needs a new coaster, from an objective stand point, GAdv has one of the best coaster line-ups in the country. Its easy to take El Toro for granted when its in your home park.
  25. I went to Great Adventure about 15 times this year, by far the most I've ever visited. When it first opened back in April, I went 3 times in a week.
