Moreys Piers Discussion Thread
coasterchitchat replied to LcHg5265's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks like Morey's Pier is getting a set of flyers http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/king-kong-to-make-a-return-to-wildwood-boardwalk/article_c67325d4-65ee-11e4-b2bf-335c1948cc89.html -
Knoebels Discussion Thread

Lance (Screamscape site owner) just changed it to reflect that it is for BGW. -
If that's the case then It really should be getting Vekoma trains IMO, wheel boogies have not really been a strong side of KumbaK. I wonder if there is someone else who would be interested in manufacturing trains for SLC's, Premier comes to mind. Premier did an excellent job wrecking a Vekoma (Goliath at SFNE). I say KumbaK.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

If they announce a new show, I hope it's Lumonsity at CP. It can keep guests longer at the park, and it's an AWESOME show (probably the best Cedar Fair show). -
Announcing "Skyline Attractions"

Robb, can you tape some of Strike-U-Up at IAAPA and release it on YouTube? Seems interesting. -
Today's Burning Question!

Cedar Point. It feels more 'relaxed' while Disney World for families kinda feel like a stress time for parents. -
I would rather take a Maurer Sohne or a Mack Spinning Coaster over the Gerstlauer because you are back to back instead of face to face. For the Sally dark ride, I just don't see that coming in the next 5 years but many in 10-15 years? It just seems something that everyone would enjoy, but they really need to do other things before a dark ride. Also, for the water coaster idea, I really think that's a good idea and it is easy to market. I loved Mammoth and Wildebeest at Holiday World, so I think these will do well at the park.

Rye Playland Discussion Thread
coasterchitchat replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I found this video on youtube showing CAI's (Central Amusuments, Inc) plan for reinventing Playland. WARNING--- This video is about 1 hours and 45 minutes. You probably won't finish it ALL in ONE time. -

B&M made the last stand-up in 1999 with Georgia Scorcher at Six Flags Over Georgia. B&M still has stand-ups listed on their website. -
Photo TR: Mini New Hotness/East Coast Trip

Agreed. Six Flags themes when a new ride opens but then just doesn't maintain the theme afterwards. Nice report from SFGADv Chuck! I really need to come to SFGADv some day. -
What is your local park?
coasterchitchat replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My local park would be Cedar Point which is 2.5 hours from my house. -
Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
coasterchitchat replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The new ones (except Banshee) are really "forceless" while the old ones are really intense and forceful. By forceful do you mean G-forces? If yes I agree that B & M's have more "airtime" than positive G's. Yes. -
