  1. Perfect... If we get this, we can head to Carowinds to get the full Leviathan experience, and the SFGAm fans can head here to get what Goliath should have been.
  2. You might be an even bigger coaster nerd if you plan coaster trips two years in advance... Based on rumours of new rides coming out. #Guilty #CWZiz2017 #LaRondeMonstredeFer2017
  3. I've heard from a few enthusiasts that CF seems to be lacking in innovation lately. Some have described the triotech dark rides as "cheap video games", and personally, I'm getting a little sick of the forceless B&Ms. Compare this to the SF parks lately... The Justice league rides, 4-D freespins, and of course, the RMCs Sure, CF still seems to be running their parks better, however, in terms of innovation, SF might be catching up.
  4. ^Zoominjoro-El-Toro (or however you spell it): Drop of Doom, also at Great Adventure... Leave it to six flags to build a ride, only to find out the building code won't allow them to run it as marketed. Twisted Colossus's Dueling feature... Leave it to Six Flags to build a coaster they know they can't duel due to sh**y operations. Ednor at La Ronde (and SLCs in General)... Leave it to Six Flags to build an SLC in a park that already has a BTR clone, making one of the only surviving rides from astroworld an SLC. Notice a theme here???
  5. First arrow for me was Dragon mountain at Marineland. First looper for me as well. The ride wasn't too intense, with lots of dead space, but the great setting/scenery, relatively smooth/intense inversions, and a surprising first drop that have a nice pop of air made up for it.
  6. What's the difference between this and you're average B&M hyper? They both cost about $30 million, and both aren't that thrilling
  7. All three b&m hypers/gig as I've been on (Leviathan, Behemoth and Goliath at La Ronde) fall into this kind of category. Nothing too extreme on any of the three rides, but all provide some really interesting forces, and in Goliath and Behemoth's case, long rides. An honorable mention goes to Tilt a Whirls, Clifhanger/hang-gliders (flying para-trooper style flats), HUSS Enterprises and KMG Freakouts. While not coasters, all four of the flats mentioned above always pop into my head whenever thinking about rides that aren't maybe too extreme, but always just plain fun.
  8. Adventure Express? YESS!!!! ( So, if adventure express counts as a credit, can I count every escalator I've been on as credits as well? I've already emailed RCDB with my request to put all escalators on their database.
  9. ^Thanks a lot, I'll keep that in mind.
  10. Wonder what this class of coaster (over 500) will be? Following the trend (mega, giga, etc.), I'm pretty sure it'll be teracoaster??? Then again, seeing as this coaster will be built by Intamin (the manufacturer that seems to have broken all the recent height records), I guess we'll be going with whatever they say it is.
  11. Somebody should email a link to this thread to said person in Universal office building.... Plus this meme No bullies allowed!
  12. Heard a few people mention Goliath at SFMM. Looking at POVs, the only em intense part seems like it'd be the helix.
  13. They're saying its a traffic hazard... How stupid... If they're building something like this, wouldn't that encourage further development, including building new/better infrastructure to service all the traffic coming that way, making it better than it is now?
  14. Seen a few threads of what particular coaster moment is the most intense, or what the most intense coasters from certain manufacturers are, but what I'm wondering is, overall, what's the most intense coaster you've done? Personally, I'd say it has to be BTR clones, or possibly the now defunct Skyrider that was at CW... So much relentless pacing on both those rides.
  15. Nope, no butchering! What you said sums up BTR clones perfectly IMO. There are quite a few coasters and flats I've done where the one or two moments of intensity they give far exceeds anything on a BTR, however, as far as the most sustained/overall intensity throughout any ride is concerned, BTR wins hands down... There's just no dead space on that ride! The only other ride I've done that comes close to the relentless pacing of BTR is Skyrider at CW, which is sadly moved to a park overseas. It was also rough as all hell on the turnaround sections; something no rider on any B&M has to deal with... Because no matter the b&m, or its level of intensity, we can all agree (1:45)As
  16. December 1st is now upon us.... That means....
  17. Really hoping b&m continue to build more forcefull coasters (ie. Banshee, Fury, Thunderbird) in the future. Odds are CW's next big coaster will be a beemer, and while CF has done wonderful things for the park, im getting a little tired of relatively forceless hypers/gigas.
  18. Agreed, coaster lineup is "meh". If monster gets RMCed though, that'd definetly make the park worth going to again... Triple threat with Goliath, Vampire and "Twisted/RMC" Monster, plus a few decent flats. As for the language barrier thing, I think the problem has to do with the fact thatMontreal has become more French due to the government regulating anything English and encouraging anything French over the past few decades (Not too knowledgable about the issue, but that's what I know from living here in Canada). The park's probably just hiring local students looking for summer jobs (who may not have the best education in English, depending on what school they go to, where they live, etc.), and because many locals in the area are French speaking, the language barrier happens. Anyway, issues aside, really looking forward to vampire backwards in 2016. The back row's always been my favourite on that ride, so this should be great.
  19. As someone who hasn't rode Kumba, what makes it so special compacted to other similar coasters built around the same time? (Ie. Bizzaro SFGAdv, Rougarou, Riddler's). From POVs, I can't tell much of a difference.
